clear the cache in safari without start safari

When I run Safari, I get a pop-up of freemaintenance.set2freeupdatenow.net, telling me that my flash player is outdated and please install update to continue. There is no button cancel, only an ok button.

I do not trust this and want to clear my cache, but preferences are grey with this open pop-up and I can't find any way to close.

How can I locate and delete the files from my safari browser cache?

Press Option command ESC (Force Quit).

Select Safari and force it to close.

Hold down the SHIFT key and call Safari (to prevent the loading of the previous window).

There is no need to clear the cache.

If your Mac has a problem not go and use it and allow OS X to take care of its own RAM.

  • Firefox redirects to the page after you clear the cache, reset, reinstall

Only in Firefox (checked in chrome and IE 10) and only on this computer, when I try to go to this page: caroliniancanada.ca/calendar, I get redirected to calendar.com.

    OS: windows 8

    I tried the following:
clear the cache, history, passwords etc. (I have deleted everything after support to the top of my favorites)
    start firefox in safe mode
start firefox in safe mode windows safe mode 8
    Reset firefox
reinstall firefox without any saved data or backup

    This problem persists.

I am running a Norton scan and will run malware bytes later. Nothing else that a few tracking cookies have been discovered so far.

    Thanks for the quick response!

    Before trying your solution:
    adding notes:
    - http://caroliniancanada.ca/calendar/ goes to the correct location (a php calendar application installed on the server)
    - www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar seems to open the google search for the address
    - http://caroliniancanada.ca/calendar or http://www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar open calendar.com

    After I tried your fix:
    - http://caroliniancanada.ca/calendar now redirects to the correct location
    - http://www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar still heading calendar.com
-the Web server SHOULD be redirect all traffic on the www to non - www.

    Conclusions:
I think that it is indeed a mistake to redirect to the server. I tried it again in a new combination on Chrome, and it seems that if I type in www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar or http://www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar I get redirected to a "not found" page which suggests calendar.com . It seems as if Firefox is simply force a reload in calendar.com rather than providing an error.

I am now able to reproduce this on my other machine of firefox by going to http://www.caroliniancanada.ca/calendar , so I'll mark this resolved and try and understand what is happening with my redirects. Hair pulling yay! Need a haircut anyway...

Wow, what a frustrating way to discover a server error! Thanks again for your quick help!

  • How to clear the cache in 9.0.3

Techno-bouffon here, in conflict on how to clear the cache in 9.0.3 (OS X 10.11.3 El Capitan). Some recommend to delete entire cache folder. Others say just clear com.apple.Safari, which I did. • Clear the cache in memory in HP 8500 a

For unknown reasons my 8500 has 910 HP all in one printer starts a print job has been cancelled after a paper jam, print weeks.  Suddenly he began to reprint this job with no promting, no order - it just starts print at the end of a totally independent print job.  He has done this 3 times in 3 days - it's the jobs between the two without problem.

Is it possible to clear the cache of the memory of the printer without having to go to factory reset - I would prefer not to lose my settings as we walked in to set up, just get rid of this work in the printer memory.

I already turned off, unplugged and disconnected the printer from the wall, waited 2-3 minutes or more before re-new player

I also unplugged while it was on and unplugged from the wall, wait 2-3 minutes before repluggin again.

So far, none of them have worked.

    Suggestions?

You can uninstall the drivers and the software of the printer.

Windows has a lot of files "cache" icon hidden caches of file in the Internet Explorer cache.  Without knowing that we you speak (or why you want to do this), it is difficult to answer.

The expression "clear the cache" is usually used as it applies to Internet Explorer.  If this is the cache that you want to remove, try this link:
"How to remove the contents of the temporary Internet files folder.

In the event that you reference in the pagefile, try this link:
"How to clear the Windows pagefile during shutdown"

If it is a different cache, let know us...

CS6 crash bridge I have cleared the cache etc but continues to work slowly then it crashes again.

    Hi neilm,.

When you have disabled the cache, did you do via preferences > Cache Purge? Rarely, this method seems to work for everyone. It hasn't for me, because he never removes all hidden. But now press Cmd-Opt-Shift/Ctrl-Alt-Shift while launching Bridge and purge the cache and preferences will generally produce as clean a sweep as possible without going through the uninstall/reinstall bit. You need to configure your preferences for bridge all over again, but that shouldn't take too long.

If this does not stop smash, return and let us know your OS is and what version of bridge that you use. CS6, but the numbers that you see when you click on the bridge.

  • Instructions repeated to clear the cache

While I'm on the bridge I get instructions to clear the cache, even after I empty the cache.  What can I do?

Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS down) until the reset dialog box settings is displayed. Select three options-preferencesReset , reset workspaces Standard and purge all thumbnail Cache - and then click OK.

What are your cookies settings? For example:

    {X} accept cookies from sites
    Accept third-party cookies: always
    Keep until: I close Firefox

Some sites may not work well if you have disabled the 'third party' cookies (I don't remember if Gmail is one of those).

Have you deleted all existing Google cookies? You can do it from any page search on google.com. Here's how:

While displaying a page on the site, try either:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".

    • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > additional information > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, google.com should be filled up automatically and you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Then try logging into Gmail. Who help me?
