Clearing counters intf

Anyone know how to clear the counters of interface on the PIX?

Thank you

Rich

Hi rich,

'clear the interface' should do that.

Thank you

  • The interface on PC8024F meter has been increasing

    Hello

We have a PowerConnect 8024F clocked at firmware 5.1.6.3 about 141 days now without a reboot. A few days earlier, all interface counters continued to increase. In addition, the switch works normally.

I don't know if a reboot would help. Because this switch is an important place in our core network infrastructure, I don't want to take the risk of downtime for nothing.

Someone at - it an idea on what could be the cause or how to make the counters work again? Counters on a single port, i.e. with "clear counters te1/0/2 ' compensation does not help."

    Greetings,

    Robin

I would check connection to be sure there are no errors while the counters do not increase being recorded. Also check the Web UI to see if counters are reported correctly. Statistics/RMON > Table Views > counters.

If there are no errors in the logs, then a reboot may be necessary. If you schedule a reboot, you can also update the firmware. The latest firmware includes several improvements and corrections of vulnerability.

    Hello

    Try the command:

    > access-list clear counters

This clears the counters displayed by the show access-list command.

To delete counters on an interface, enter configuration mode and issue this command: clear int ethernet0

(You must be in config for this command mode works.)

Speed/duplex, once spending config mode and type this command: interface ethernet0 100full

I disabled the A and B/G radios since the location and then went to another location and disabled the FastEthernet (wired) connection. I want to back up these radio and now I can't access the web interface because I disabled the wireless connection. Can anyone help please get out and direct me where to go next door to activate the radios on the access point (without reset if all goes well) and without the ability to access through the web interface based on?

    Cisco IOS command modes

The Cisco IOS user interface is divided into several different modes. The commands available depend on which mode you are currently in. Enter a question mark (?) at the system prompt to get a list of commands available for each command mode.

When you start a session on the access point, you begin in user mode, often called user EXEC mode. Only a limited subset of the commands are available in user EXEC mode. For example, most of the user EXEC commands is controls spot, such as show commands, which show the current status of the configuration, and clear commands, which clear counters or interfaces. The user EXEC commands are not saved when the access point reboots.

To have access to all commands, you must enter privileged mode. Normally, you must enter a password to enter privileged mode. In this mode, you must enter privileged EXEC mode before you can enter global configuration mode.

Using the configuration modes (global, interface and line), you can make changes to the running configuration. If you save the configuration, these commands are stored and used when the access point reboots. To access the various configuration modes, you must start in global configuration mode. From global configuration mode, you can enter interface configuration mode and line configuration mode.

  • CSM Flex Config - HitCnt reset via Flexconfig and $Variable possible?

    Hello

I want to erase all the Hitcnt on all the firewall via the MSC Flexconfig.

Can I use $Variable in FlexConfig to transfer the value of / to the other order of firewall?

    for example

    I type the command

    # access-list HS | element of grep

-to discover the available on the firewall access lists

I have transfer the output for example 'inside_access_in' to a $variable and use this variable in the command to clear the HitCnt: access-list "$variable" clear counters

    Any idea?

    THX for the help

    Answers after:

    1. Yes, after you have assigned the FlexConfig you can right click on the device in the CSM and do a 'Preview' Config and who will show you the commands that are made to be pushed at deployment time.

    2. the system variables are not editable. They represent something that you already configured on the device. You can create variables in the config of Flex that you can modify.

    3. you can 2 variable for in and out LCD. They are SYS_FW_ACL_IN_NAME and SYS_FW_ACL_OUT_NAME. Watch http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cisco_security_manager/security_manager/3.3/user/guide/tmplchap.html#wp939447

So you can erase using both counters.

You have aaa login default configured for authentication, with this you get invited

When you try to access the line.

Under line VTY 5 181 try adding:

    authentication of the connection /NOAUTH

    exec authorization /NOAUTH

    Add the lines of aaa:

    /NOAUTH AAA authentication login no

    /NOAUTH AAA authorization exec no

  • How cascading 2 counters for 64-bit timer?

I work with the PCI-6225 card which has several counters.  I configured CTR0 to 20 MHz.  I get the CTR0 time by calling the OR-DAQmx C function 'DAQmxReadCounterScalarU32' to get the number of frequencies and then by dividing the number of frequency of 20 MHz for a time value.   The maximum time value that may be getting is that of 214.7483648 seconds (2 ^ 32 / 20e6).    I want to stunt/link two counters (CTR0 and CTR1) to get the frequency of 64-bit values.    To be clear, CTR0 configured as CTR1 configured as 32 byte MSB and LSB 32 bits so that whenever CTR0 reached maximum values and "roll" then CTR1 would be incremented by 1.   How can I do this using the C-NOR-DAQmx features?

    Thank you

    Ian

Hw do will be more reliable, but here are two possible ways to approach it in sw.

    1. There is a DAQmx property with a name similar to "Terminal number reached" that I have used in LabVIEW but do not know the underlying C syntax.  When you query this software, it will return a true once, is reset to false.   I'm sure that he will return a true even once on the * following * the event rollover, but you would be better double-check me on that.  Not knowing your entire application, I guess you will probably need to be prepared to manage several inversions.

    2. in certain applications, rather than establishing a measure which follows the cumulative time, you can configure the hw to measure periods and then take a NAP in sw to get your 'timestamp '.   Unless an individual interval could exceed 200 + seconds, you can just do your accumulation of software with a 64-bit data type.

Technically, you can even do both.  Do a measure 32-bit intervals hw, do a query of software for the event of tc, accumulate intervals & counties of reversal in a 64-bit int.

  • cDAQ-9174 cannot use the counters of 3 or 4

    Hello

I try to display the entry of a potentiometer and 3 encoders of Quad.  I have a CDAQ-9174 with a 9215 OR (for the POT) in the slot 1, 9411 or in slot 2 and a NI 9401 in the Groove 3 (soon to another NOR 9411 when it happens).

If I run the example 'Measure angular Position.vi' on each individual encoder (by selecting either modules on counter 0), I can see all three encoders work properly (exit count increments and decrements as expected)

If I run the Test panels able and automation, I see all three encoders switch their respective 2 channels each.

But when I change 'measurement Position.vi"to have all three separate entries (I copied the task of creating and all its entries twice, then expanded the while loop to have three different DaqMX Read vi, then 2 clearer spots on the right side (output) at all in a loop), I see only 2 encoders increment and decrement.

I do not use Index Z entries, I changed the type of decoding to X 2 for all three.  I tried to change that, but I especially get the same result (2 encoders working, is not 1).

I changed the encoders are the use of counters to 0, 1, and 2.  Only the assigned to counter 2 encoder does not work.

I tried to use meter 3 - same problem.

Is there a way to confirm that the cDAQ-9174 counters all work?  I tried all three in the test panels and they seem to be good?

A cDAQ-9174 can manage 2 Quad encoders using 2 signals of each (A and B signals - A for metering, B for management)?

I have something configured incorrectly?  If you use two Modules of entry at the same time, is it some additional configuration that must be done?

    Really appreciate some help here.

    Thank you

    Sam

Yes, we use the 9.0.2 version drivers and no there is no error message.

Turns out we had wired it incorrectly for Counter 2 use.  Being on the second module, I thought we had wire the same way the first module has been wired - not realizing that counters need a provision of the specific pins.

Thank you for looking into this.

    Hello

Do you mean that you want to remove ACL hit counties? If so, then in the config mode to do:

    OR

Do you mean you want to erase the active translation on the PIX, if yes, then do:

    clear xlate

  • I interrupted utility disk neck 3 clear and now I can't start

    Hello

with my iMac 21.5 "2016 days 30 years playing up (beachballing each click of the mouse), I decided to start over with a new facility. However, when I deleted my hard drive I accidentally selected the erase 3-pass. I stopped very quickly the erase operation, but now I cannot start my computer and cannot use the recovery of the internet option when you press the R option to install new software to boot.

so has my cancellation erase the neck 3, all the data on my disk unrecoverable and the unusable disk?

spoke to apple and they say it needs a repair? It is 31 days old. I have probably need a new hard drive because of this?

    Thank you.

Yes. The clear operation is all data unrecoverable.

The first step must always be a backup before you start any of this important project.

If Apple says it should be repaired then take to them and ask them to fix it please.
