  This happens on all websites that uses a file entry box to download images/files.

  I click on Browse.

  Select a file, and then click "Open" in the file browser window.

  Then, firefox seems to hang or take a break for what it is between 5 to 12 seconds, after this time, the name of the file appears in the file input field - you cannot interact with the browser at all during this time.

  Can be reproduced every time i run firefox - does not happen in IE or another browser on that machine.

  I am creating a slide of summary in a project of capitvate users will consider before taking a quiz.  I would like this slide contains hyperlinks on various documents.  I want users to have and an unlimited number of time to look these over, and then click all they are interested in and then click a button to continue the quiz.

  No matter what options I put the click box, the project will continue for the quiz when a user clicks one of the hyperlinks!

  Hi Laura

  From what I have seen that you have specifically selected off the options to pause the movie until the user clicks. So now you're stuck as to why the film is not a break.

  Try to activate the option to pause. You can also view the page on the link below: more precisely point 13.

  The add-on 'take a break' sounded like something I needed so I got the add-on, but do not seem to see an icon or something like it... any advice would be appreciated... :))

  You normally have the bar displayed at the bottom of the window module? You can use Ctrl + / to put it on and outside, or right click on an empty area of the tab bar and choose it from the pop-up menu.

  To change settings of the extensions, you should be able to use this tab to get to the Options button:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

• My button overrides the properties in the click box

  
  I have a slide with a box, click on it and it is linked to a URL.  In properties, I checked the "project of break up to what the user clicks on" because the user must check the URL before you continue.  I have it set to display text stating you must click on the link again and again before you continue.  It works well with the following exception:

  I have a button at the bottom of the slide even for purposes of recognition and button properties are set for the user to go to the next page when you click the button.

  When I save/publish my project, the project allows me to click on the button and move to the next slide without first clicking on the click box and display of the URL.  It's almost as if the blade is in 2 sections.  If I click around the area of click, but not in it, I get the failure message "you must click on the link and review the document before you continue.  But if I go inside the same Blade (further away from the click box) and click on my button, I don't get the failure message and I go to the next slide.  The button is the substitution of the rule of the area to click on it.

  Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  If it were me, I would hide the properties button. Then I would create a tip Action that is assigned to the click box. Configure the tip Action to display the button and open the URL in a new window.

• Slide the Progression with click box

  Hi-

  I am currently working with Captivate 6 and my tutorial requires the user to click in a certain area and then pre generated text appears, so I used a click box.  Problem is, I want the slide then progress on its "own and it won't because I used the box click."  Please help if anyone know a work around for it!

  Welcome to the Adobe Forums!

  Under that click Properties could have checked "to Pause project until user clicks on. Therefore, once the user clicks on the box click slide progresses and should view other items later in the timeline panel or go to the next slide.

  Please make sure that there is no other area of click or interactive object such as button or smart shape used as a button on the slide (with a break enabled until the click), or check if there is no action on the exit of the slide.

• Click Box - jump slide error

  Captivate v5.5

  I put a box click slide 1 to allow users of my "Skip Intro" (slides 1-4) and move on to slide 5.

  While the click box jumps to slide 5 - audio from slide 1 continuous instead of audio on 5.

  I tried to use a button (instead of click box) and that works very well - but problem with the help of a button is, I want to slide 1 to continue to slip etc. 2 by itself if the learner do not click 'Skip Intro '.

  Does anyone have any suggestions, it could be the cause.

  Click on the button, go to the Properties tab > Timing accordion and uncheck the break after.  Then the button is paused not the slide.

  Also see the options in the accordion Audio to stop slide Audio when clicked.  Who can help your other problem with the sound continues to play.

• Click boxes do not work

  I am currently working on a path that contains a main menu screen which then branches off in several course modules.  In the main menu, I placed several click boxes that jump to the slide in the course.  5 click on the boxes that I placed on the main menu, 2 do not work even if they are placed exactly like the other three with the exception of the slide in which they jump to.

  The setting of the click box are as follows:

  • Go to the slide (defined in the slide that contains the content you want)
  • Appear from 0 seconds
  • stay for the rest of the slide
  • Infinate attempts
  • See the hand on the affected area
  • Project to break up what the user clicks.

  I tried to remove the offending click areas and rebuild.  Copy a click box that works and simply change the slide number jump.  Rebuild the entire slide (translated by in the same situation 3 click boxes on which worked to continue working and 2 who did not, does not).  I have built several screens of the main menu in the manner of sam in several courses with all the problems.  Please help me understand what could be the issue.

  You have a quiz in the project? If so, you may have your quiz settings configured so that the questions MUST be answered before that you continue.

  For example, maybe you have a project of 40 slides. You have pimples on slide 5. Button jump to slide 6. No problem. Two jumps on slide 20. No problem. But key three try to pass to slide 30. And slide 28 you ask a true/false question. The parameters of your quiz can declare that the question slide 28 must answer before you continue. In this case, the button seems down and not jump to slide 30 because he has not answered the question on slide 28.

• Status of TOC not followed slides without click boxes

  I'm creating a course of two lessons. I have marked auto learning and displays the flat state selected for the table of contents.

  My slides without click boxes (scenario, Introduction, etc...) that the play bar is used to move forward, will not display a status indicator as having been completed.

  Is it possible to make these appear the State? Really, I don't want to turn the status or the pace of learning self off.

  Please if you have any suggestions, let me know, I'm on a tight project schedule.

• Re-creation of click boxes

  I took the suggestions of Captivtr on this site to create my own quizzes using click boxes because I wanted more control with feedback.  However, I have this created a new problem.

  I have attached a sample of 3 slides for you to watch.  On the second slide, you will notice you can answer the question, and depending on where you click, you get a response.  Everything works well here.  However, if you click Next and then click back and return to the original screen, you will see that, no matter how you answer, the feedback box that sits on top always appear independently to know if the user correctly answers the question.

  My question is that it seems that captivate is not reset the interaction when the person goes back to the page.  Is there a way to reset the action so that if the user goes back and tries to answer the question once again, responses will be triggered properly.

  I downloaded the project and looking at him while I'm typing this. I see that you have a box click slide 2 which is a break from the slide. It seems to be superimposed on the legend of new material B. A click on this legend would be considered "Correct". Right?

  This is where it gets tricksy. The legends are invisible until show you them. You've built your actions to display the desired caption. But there is no action of "reset" or hide them as soon as you leave the slide.

  I'm guessing that you are willing to allow the user re - visit the slide that he be a whole new ball game, no? If so, you may want to configure the properties of the slide so that the blade you enter event belongs to several actions. Next, configure the actions to hide the two legends. It would be actually reset the slide.

• Need user to SHIFT-click on click box

  Version 4.  I have features in my simulation that requires the user to press SHIFT + click.  I can add shift as a shortcut key for the click box, but I can't find a way to demand that the two actions.  As is, it moves to the front if I do actions.  Also, I added 2 click on boxes to some slides (for branching), but only one working (if it is on top in the timeline panel).  Publication to export HTML code.

  @Sherrie, mother of scout's right she doesn't Shift. The only solution I can think of is to create a Flash widget that recognizes the shift + click on the drop-down list and incorporate that into your project, that might be a bit complicated.

According to me, I had a similar problem before and I've removed an object, published the draft saved and then added to the published object to return and he still saved. It worked in my scenario. • Possible to take a break, turn the unit off, and then out of the previous point?

  Whenever the device turns off, it goes back to the previous song completed, or podcast, which was played.  It's incredibly annoying when you listen long files because the FF is very slow.  I choose on 'pause' the existing/podcast song, then choose lock or just let it stop by itself, but anyway that it restores the previously played file.

  Am I missing something?

  If you take a break and then YOU turn off the player, rather than to let it run itself turned off, it will save the spot.  It won't save the task if it turns off by itself.

  And when you turn it off, hold the button for about 10 seconds or until you see the ring flashing in blue.  Otherwise, it goes into sleep mode and uses the battery life.
