• The blank lines and features button in table question

  Readers,
  
  I have a table with data from a read-only VO. I have a button in each row of the table designed to call a method in the MB. There are 2 issues here
  (1) when I put the table content to 'whenAvailable' or lazy, I get empty rows in the table, how ever my button feature is called on each press (once, twice, thrice etc.). the query returns only 2 rows
  (2) when I put the dissemination of contents of the "immediate" table, I get blank lines in the table, how ever my button feature is called only once. After pressing the button once if I try to press on again by MB method is not called.

• Buttons and version 5.5 using the Click Box

  Using Captivate 5.5, in the same blade I try to use a box click to access a URL, but also to pause the slide with a button continue. When the click is selected, the URL is displayed, but the Captivate project moves to the next slide. My goal is to have the project on hold and require the participant to click continue to go to the next slide.

  With the above said, if I deselect the option to continue playing the project on the click box, continue it button does not appear.

  Can anyone help?

• My button overrides the properties in the click box

  
  I have a slide with a box, click on it and it is linked to a URL.  In properties, I checked the "project of break up to what the user clicks on" because the user must check the URL before you continue.  I have it set to display text stating you must click on the link again and again before you continue.  It works well with the following exception:

  I have a button at the bottom of the slide even for purposes of recognition and button properties are set for the user to go to the next page when you click the button.

  When I save/publish my project, the project allows me to click on the button and move to the next slide without first clicking on the click box and display of the URL.  It's almost as if the blade is in 2 sections.  If I click around the area of click, but not in it, I get the failure message "you must click on the link and review the document before you continue.  But if I go inside the same Blade (further away from the click box) and click on my button, I don't get the failure message and I go to the next slide.  The button is the substitution of the rule of the area to click on it.

  Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  If it were me, I would hide the properties button. Then I would create a tip Action that is assigned to the click box. Configure the tip Action to display the button and open the URL in a new window.

• The playback controls replace the click box

  This applies to both Captivate v4 and v5

  I have a project with playback controls that include the Pause/Play.

  I want to add two click boxes on a blade that the learner must click ' before being able to move to the next slide.

  When the slide reaches the first click box, the control Pause/Play display changes from Pause to play and the user can simply click on the "Play" option to work around the click box and move to the next slide, click point on the slide box, click 'replay' and then move to the next slide without having to go through the boxes click the slide.

  How can this be avoided so that the learner has to go through the slide via the boxes to click and do not use the set of playback controls option?

  PS. Playback controls Pause/Play are essential for the entire project, so do not show are not an option in this case.

  The simplest is hide the playback bar upon entering this slide and show again to the next slide. It is not possible to hide a button.

• Captivate 8 - click boxes and bar of the player when shooting in 'Training' mode

  Whenever I have the movie in training mode I have the settings so that the click boxes will be automatically added to the project; However, every time that I read the slides that have the auto added click boxes, of the Player bar does not appear. I then manually replace the auto added boxes. When this is done, the Player bar reappears.  Looks like a lot of effort. Any ideas?

  It is a design logical for me, if it were not the case I would disable the PlayBar manually. If you have a PlayBar, the user can simply rub with the progress bar and not learn anything at all. Training assume they can only progress when after completing action on each slide, either by clicking on a location or type a text in BER.

  When you set the video object, just add a listener for events such as:

• Resize the system checkbox and radio buttons system

  Is it possible to resize the system checkbox and radio buttons system. If we right click on one of them and go to properties, size controls are disabled. I wonder if it's feasible.

  Also I noticed that I could add the new radio buttons to do a right-click and choosing Add new button. Is it possible to achieve this programattically.

  As mentioned, system controls cannot be customized, because they depend on the windows theme. However, here are some Boolean values, so all you need to do is use an ordinary Boolean value and import the graphics that you want in the case of true and false. They can easily be made to look like an oversized check box. More details, especially about radio buttons can be found here.

  You could probably do it in edit mode programmatically by using scripts. You can't do it at run time.

  To fill a RadioButton with new Boolean values, you can simply drag the new values Boolean inside or even shift-do drag an item to create a copy of it. Don't forget to change the labels to something intuitive.

• Advanced action not updated on the click box update

  I inherited a model with a quiz with boxes made from boxes to click. In its current form, the user can cilck the button submit without clikcking on any of the 6 boxes (not an ideal situation for a trial).

  I created variables for all click areas and associated with 0 (set checkbox 1 with 0... etc.).

  In the in the slide, I have on enter slide Execute advanced Actions, I have AND of statements indicating that if the checkbox is = to 0, then hide and disable the button send... and I am doing this for all the checkboxes (if checkbox1 = 0 AND checkbox2 = 0... etc.). I then an Else, indicating to display and activate the submit button.

  In the clickbox I have when it is activated (there's a box for clicked and clicked not), I put the variable checkbox to 1 between 0... that means that the advanced Actions 'should' be updated with the new variable to 1, but it does not work.

  I think it has something to do with the click boxes because it seems to stall the reading head and not continue to run the advanced Actions. It's my guess only as that is the question.

  Any thoughts?

  Removal of variables is possible in Captivate 9, not in previous versions. Even in CP9 that it's always a bit tricky, some variables seem is always 'used' so that they do not.

• Shares advanced with effect applies on the click boxes

  I could use some help troubleshooting one of my projects.

  I use a couple of clickboxes that perform distinct advanced actions - by clicking on the first clickbox (CB1) shows a picture, a text caption and click box (CB2) that appear with a fade-in effect apply (see the + ApplyEffect). Then, once everything is displayed, CB2 makes all melted (ApplyEffect only). It's like a pop - up glorified that fades in and out. It works very well... once!

  The problem is that if CB2 hides everything stated by CB1, I can open and close until the cows come home. However, as soon as I replace Hide to apply effects (fadeout) in advanced actions, he won't again. I click on CB1 but nothing happens.

  What I think is that CB2 is not hiding anything (only fades them out of sight) and when I click on CB1 the second time, it displays them, but I don't see it because they are always made disappear.

  I tried to add assign rdcmndGotoFrameAndResume with v_startframe at the end of advanced action of CB2, but nothing helped. Simply, he jumps the fadeout and go to the first image.

  Is it possible to delay my last action? Or maybe I do not have that sense. just started using advanced actions.

  First define the variables two user I've been using: v_start and v_fadeout. No need to give them a default value.

  On the slide, in the properties, Action on enter, accordion panel you choose entitled and in the drop-down list, you select v_start and then you will need to type in the system variable $$rdinfoCurrentFrame$ $. I find it easier to make a standard advanced trigger action on enter, because in the dialog shares advanced, you can also select this variable system instead of having to type it. With this action, the value in the v_start variable will be the first image of the slide number.

  For buttons, unlike the click boxes, you can time the point of suspension in the properties, timing Accordion Panel. Here, you can type in 6 to "Pause after '... You can display two buttons during the rest of the slide (CTRL-E).

  It will automatically return to the first image, that's what makes the rewind button: assign rdcmndGotoFrameAndResume with v_start.

  There is no possibility of time in a tip action.

  Explanation of Expressions: in the first expression, I calculate the number of frames corresponding to 6 seconds. the variable rdinfoFPS system automatically gives the number of frames per second, default value is 30. If the first expression will result in 180 frames. But I have to navigate to the absolute number of this framework from the beginning of the project. That's why I add the number of the first frame of the slide that is stored in v_start.

• Average click boxes, and text entry fields are noted

  I create several CBT intended to show users how to navigate a new software. When I record, I choose the demonstration and training modes. For the part in training mode, I have several click boxes, and text entry fields. At the present time, when the user clicks on or between text, it has to click in the right place or enter the correct answer to move forward, otherwise a failure caption appears that says something to the effect of 'should have clicked here, please try again.' They try again and go to the next slide. When the training section is marked, everybody gets 100%.

  I was wondering if it is possible to create a user click in the wrong place or enter the wrong answer and still be able to advance to the next slide. So, not everyone would have a 100% automatic.

  As I wrote in my first response, simulation training is not intended to be marked. You should really start with a simulation of assessment to avoid having too many change thereafter.

  Have created a lot of assessments used in examinations (do not use an LMS, but this is not necessary) and my students would have been very happy if they could all have scored 100%.

  Enough joking. How you have configured the settings for the click boxes, text entry boxes, buttons? I give them only 1 attempt, never show failure, success, or legends of suspicion. As both actions for success or failure, I put in 'go to the next slide. The evaluation progresses so what was the action of the user, correct or incorrect. And the score will be awarded only if the user has performed the correct action. It works fine, really. If some actions need to be repeated several times, sometimes I will put the note of some of them to 0.

  Really think you can change the training simulation to work as an assessment, in the future it would be best to start with the last mode, possibly in combination with a demonstration or a training simulation.

  I cannot start a file from a click box. I enter the url and deselect contine, running project. I have test the link in the preview and it works fine. However when I publish the file of the click box does not work. I click it several times and finally all that happens is the next slide appears. Something that should not happen at all.

  Often we see problems when you try to run the project to your local computer. Could be Flash security settings. If this is the case, see if the tutorial below the help link.

  Note that this affects only playback on the local PC. If you have decided to copy the files on a web server and your users will run from there, you have nothing to worry about. If your intention is for each user to copy the files to the C: drive and run from there, then you concerns. But there are solutions if this is the case.

  Assuming that you are referring to Safari. Control by clicking in the title bar, choose "Customize toolbar...". ", drag the rear icons in the title bar.

• Details pane has suddenly appeared in the window programs and features, when it had not appeared there before.

  I have a strange problem.  When I first installed Windows Vista Home P. 32-bit program and features or uninstall a program window did not have a details pane; It was the only window that did not have.  One day, he showed no reason and now it will not disappear.
