  Hello. I'm new to first Pro CS5.5.

  Question 1: On the left side of the timeline panel there are different tools to toggle off the track, locking toggle, toggle track lock synchronization, etc...  When you click on the empty space that surrounds the parameters, the area greys inside or outside. Does this mean something?

  Question 2: On the left of these tools there is an empty space. Sometimes, when I drag the titles to the line time video line will show 'V' and audio will show "A1". What value do they play?

• reactivate the video for only audio clips in order

  Hi all

  I've been editor for some time now, but I'm new to first Pro CS5.

  I have a dozen of clips in my sequence I used only the audio of a file video/audio source.

  Now I want to re - activate the video of these clips.

  If I double click on it in the sequence that it opens only the audio in the source window and I can not re - activate the video to pull down on the sequence.

  How can I make the video without having to return to the original in the tray and re item - score entry points and coming overlapping it?

  Make sure the path that contains the clip you want is concerned; This means clicking the Audio buttons in the headers of the track. The CTI Park you at the beginning of the clip you want and press the button "M"; This corresponds to the frame of the original item and load it in the Source monitor. From there, you can add/refine your entry points and then do drag or insert video in the sequence. Finally, you can create a link to the video and audio; don't forget to unlink the audio first, then select audio and video and reedit. That will keep the video and audio as a single item.

  I installed original computer, but the buttons for playback audio CDs do not work.
  I have widows mediaplayer assigned as a toshiba player.
  Default player for mp3 is Winamp.

  Have you tried it at the beginning or after the installation of winamp? I don't know, but as far as I know the buttons, you can set up to work with some application defined or player.

  If you want to use with winamp you must configure it correctly.

• How can I prevent Captivate to advance to the next slide, after the end of the audio and I click on click to show/hide sidebar box?

  I currently have a slide that plays audio.  While usage is listening to the narration that I can click on three different click the boxes with advanced actions to open and close text boxes, I want the user to read the value.  When reading narrative ends and I'll click on the boxes to click to read a text box, it moves to the next slide.  I understand that I may have to replace the box with smart buttons click but I don't know how to stop the progression to the next slide.  I already have a next button that is put on pause until the user clicks.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm on a tight schedule.

  Quickly, I created a sample file, just have a slide with three form buttons that act as the toggles and a next button. The first three buttons break late exactly at the same time and the next button.

  Since it's the slide by clicking the audio stops no audio at all (common misunderstanding). I created a shared action, with the purpose to display and the variable (mine are labeled v_one instead of v_visib) as parameters:

  You can differentially control noise on a layer vs the sound on another layer.  You can control the sounds in different clips, but it is easier to use the sound class to control your sounds or attach some sounds on a schedule...

• Half of the audio is missing. After having inserted the wrong cable.

  You can try the following steps and check if it works.

  Increase the volume of the sound recorded and then try to record the sound again. To adjust the audio volume recorded, follow these steps:

  1. click on Start, click Control Panel, click hardware and sound, then manage audio devices.

  2. click on the recording tab, click the audio device you use to record sound, and then click on Properties.

  3. click the levels tab, do drag the volume slider to the right to increase the volume, and then click on OK.

  4. start Sound Recorder and record the sound again.

  'Expert opinion' is a part of the new interface of first elements 11. In version 10, you have the timeline and stage line discovers the choice.

• create the audio sample

  I can't find an answer to this question online.  I have a drum track I recorded and want to create a file "sample" of the trap.  The trap played unevenly so I would like to take the best shot of snare and make a sample.  Then I can use this sample with the function "replace or double drum track.  Thanks in advance!

  Odd that you re cannot find how to do or change an audio sample in Logic anywhere because there are many out there if you Google your problem, but here is a simple way to do this:

  Use the scissors to trim the audio file

  Put this file on a new audio track to start at position 1

  Double-click the audio file to open it in the sample Editor

  Adjust the start and end of the snare hit

  Then use the gradient tool, if there is no break at the beginning or end of the audio file.

  I solved the problem.  It was just a matter of push lines down and creating a larger space of work for each row of the audio.  Never had this problem at the time of AVID or FCP.  I appreciate your help!

• How can I map a keyboard shortcut for the reacord button in the Audio Mixer Panel?

  I was recording voiceovers in first Pro CS5 for awhile, but I would like to improve my workflow. Whenever I record take, I first press the record button (labeled B below) with the mouse and press SPACEBAR on the game with the shortcut key button. After I record audio, I hit Stop and this activates / deactivates the record off the power button at the same time. I have to then click the record button with the mouse to start the process again.

  Is it possible to map a keyboard shortcut for the record button in the audio panel so that I don't have to touch the mouse during recording of voice?

  

  There is not currently a shortcut for this. This is a good feature request, if. You can submit requests for features here.

  ·         You are able to boot to the desktop or SafeMode?

  Follow these methods.

  Method 1: Disconnect all external devices except the keyboard and mouse.

  Method 2: Start your computer in last known good configurations.

• Left mouse click selects the button but does not execute the action of the button (for example close)

  HI - this seems to be a problem with Windows rather than the mouse, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

  First of all - I have a trackball M570. Works fine connected to another Windows 7 machine.

  But on a single machine including windows 7... I can use the left click for most, but in some applications, when I click a button it not actually click the button. Yes, he selects the button but it does not perform the button action. I also see the issue in the boxes, I can't put a tick in the boxes. Or at least I just figured someway by combining fast random space bar presses and presses mouse, but it is obviously not right. Couldn't find anything useful in google, so I thought I would try here in hope!

  HI - Finally - I found a solution.

  First of all - the following solution worked for me, but there are possible solutions mentioned on the thread I linked in my previous email.

  The mouse is a Logitech wireless, with the SetPoint software installed. I also had a Microsoft wired keyboard and just in case that was the problem, I replaced it and - YES! All good new - in fact explains some other issues, I was less concerned. The problem with the keyboard was somehow screwing of the mouse.

  Since then I have been reduced to a media volume on the keyboard button, no idea how to solve this problem, and the replacement keyboard was free, so just get rid of the old. Note: I could use the old keyboard when I downloaded the Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center, installed and disabled the offending button.
