Buttons for the CD/DVD drive

I installed original computer, but the buttons for playback audio CDs do not work.
I have widows mediaplayer assigned as a toshiba player.
Default player for mp3 is Winamp.

Anyone know what should I do?

Tomaz cordially

Hi my

Have you tried it at the beginning or after the installation of winamp? I don't know, but as far as I know the buttons, you can set up to work with some application defined or player.

If you want to use with winamp you must configure it correctly.

  • The CD/DVD drive in my laptop is missing or not detected by my Acer Aspire 4520?

A while ago my laptop Acer fell and the CD/DVD drive pulled after its fall. I thought for sure that it was broken and my laptop. Fortunately it seems not that this was the case and after that put in does what it normally would, the green light would flash and it seemed to work again. However, I never thought not to test with a DVD or CD to see if it actually worked. Is that recently that I started to use CD for games and other and I found the driver to read the discs, but nothing happened thereafter.

Well for some time now, I tried to find a solution to my problem. The driver seems to work, but when it comes to playing the discs it do anything more. Some of my other programs such as Windows Media Player saying that my laptop is missing the driver CD/DVD. I also went to the menu of F2 from the laptop to the startup and after looking around, I find that there is no entry for the CD/DVD drive and that the entry is empty. I'm not sure why my laptop can't detect the drive. I tried many things such as the Microsoft Fix It, but ends up giving me an error saying that some components are not well read or something similar to that.
Any help is greatly appreciated and if there is anything that I can provide for any further help I will do it gladly.
I should also mention that the CD/DVD does not appear in Device Manager.

    Hi Emmanuel,.

It's a hardware problem, your CD/DVD drive is not detected by your computer. I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Check if your CD/DVD drive is detected in BIOS Basic Input Output System ().

IMPORTANT: BIOS change / oxide of additional metal (CMOS) semiconductor parameters incorrectly can causeserious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • Cannot get the cd/dvd driver for CD playback

    Hiya

Earlier this year, my laptop has been infected by viruses, malware, etc. I used the program Spyware Doctor to remove any infections, but so many files and programs are removed.

On the Device Manager CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver TSSTcorp DVD +-RW TS - L632H ATA Device ended up having a typical yellow mark next to it and the cd player would not read cds or dvds. Somehow however his custom 'fixed' itself, but always play all discs.

Light to the factory side, it opens and closes, and when a cd is put in it sounds as if its going to do something, but after a few seconds only stops and don't open the program or recognize the drive. I read through many responses of forum and things like delete upper and lower filters do not work as they are already not.

Advice or answers will be very appreciated!

    Hi sugar_owl,

    1. run the troubleshooter from the link, below, you can see the link below:

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows:http://support.microsoft.com/gp/hardware_device_problems

    2. If this does not help, you can uninstall and reinstall the CD/DVD drive:

To do this, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

    b. click System and Maintenance, click System and then click on Device Manager.

Note that if control panel is in Classic view, double-click System and then click on Device Manager.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    (c) in Device Manager, expand CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, right click on the device CD and DVD and then click on uninstall.

    d. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK and restart the computer.

    e. After you restart the computer, the drivers will be installed automatically.

  • How can I get the utility auditor of system files (SFC) in Windows XP to search for the source files on a CD in a CD/DVD EXTERNAL drive instead of the CD/DVD drive internal Windows?

I use a Dell Dimension E310 PC running Windows XP Media Center Edition.  The CD/DVD drive has stopped recognizing CD long ago.  (He still recognizes DVD but not CD).  I use an external drive to CD/DVD of Asus.  I keep getting messages that Windows need to replace versions unrecognized some Windows file and asks me to insert my source CD into the CD/DVD drive.  I checked the MS Knowledge Base and got instructions on how to use the utility (SFC) System File Checker to replace the unrecognized Windows files.  I started the process and inserted the source of CD files (recovery CD provided by Dell with the PC when I bought it) in the drive of external CD/DVD, but the SFC would not recognize it it.  He just kept asking me to insert the CD of source files in the CD/DVD drive.  So I have to find a way to get the SFC utility to find files in the external CD/DVD drive source - or I have to take the PC to the Geek Squad, buy a new CD/DVD drive and get them to install it.  Would appreciate any help you can provide.

  • After dismantling Satellite A60 cannot detect the CD/DVD drive

    Hello

I opened my laptop to clean-up and it was the first time that I never opened a laptop. Messed up at the opening of the cd/dvd drive.
Instead of just pulling out, I started its opening screw but quickly realized that this is not the right way. So I took it out. Rest of the disassembly procedure went well and I assembled it back but he little silver r 2 bands and a small source, which I'm sure that belongs to the CD player and I couldn't adapt it.
And I don't know how it fits.
The computer does not detect the drive. Although I can open it by clicking on the Open button, then he hang out by sharp object. (The light will blink showing the power exists in)

The second thing is the microphone. I've never used until last week, but my voice is going through. The system does not detect any microphone.

    Help appreciated

    Hello

On this path, it is not easy to say what is the problem with CD/DVD player. Are there signs of the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager or the drive is not displayed in Windows Explorer?

How did you test mic? Try it with the tape recorder for windows. So you can test the functionality of the mic on the easiest way.

  • to eject the CD/dvd drive

I watched a dvd on my computer. Now, the disk won't work. I tried to hit the eject button on my computer, I tried going to computer, hit the button for the disc and then hitting eject. I also tried the thing of a paper clip. I've never had this problem before. What should I do?

    leopardclaw,
The disc is always running or is he arrested?  If it runs at all times, he won't allow the disc to be ejected.  What software you used to watch the movie?  Have you tried to load the software to see if the film will play?  Then you can tell him to stop and eject the disc.  If the disc does not turn, go into Device Manager and see if it sees the drive and if it has no exclamation mark above him.  Try reinstalling the driver to see if that gets the drive works again.  If it does not, and does not appear in Device Manager, it is possible that the player has gone wrong and you may need to get a computer tech to look at it.

  • Computer does not recognize the CD/DVD drive

For these last days, my computer does not recognize the CD/DVD drive.  I have tried everything - publishers of registry, check the physical connections inside the computer, the system restore and install Fix - It programs.  However, the computer does not recognize this drive.  I also wonder if it is a hardware problem.  The light on the drive is a constant in green, and does not have the Open button.  And when I use the bent-paper-clip-in-the-little-hole and can open the drive, it will not read the disc.  Please advise...

I fixed my problem with the BIOS operating system & not recognizing not not my DVD player to reinvest the solder on the motherboard.  You can find instructions on how to do it here: http://www.computerrepairtips.net/how-to-reflow-a-laptop-motherboard/

There was a little crazy with my video drivers when I started first, but everything works after resetting the BIOS by default.

  • Sdatellite M100 does not recognize the CD/DVD drive in Windows XP

It is listed in the Device Manager, but with a yellow explanation mark.
No mention of this in my computer.
    No icon.

I am able to open the drawer and I put several types of cd/DVD in them without any result.
The light flashes in orange on the door. The drive is listed as "Mat * advd-ram uj - 841 s-(sm)" in the bios under boot devices.

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the drive and reconnect but it seems that I have to disassemble the thing to do and hesitate without a diagram.

It is only a user guide in the downloads on this site so any help is appreciated: 0)

Oh, I also downloaded the driver from this site for the drie. Before that, I uninstalled the drive in Device Manager, but there was no change when I installed the downloaded driver.

Simply using a Ubuntu Linux live cd and it is running.
Unfortunately its going to be hard to know for sure what the problem in this way because I don't want to install ubuntu on this machine it is someone elses machine and they are far from would you like to try linux.

I'm in a live session now.
Ah ok when I go in the media folder there is no mention of the cd/dvd drive.

It is really a problem unless I can unplug physically the Mo and reconnect: 0 (Oh wait here it... is under 'cdrom' folder ' but only files with a relevance to the side by side with windows installation are mentioned... exe files, wubi etc..)

Ah ok that's beyond my experience.
Can someone give this amateur a tip?

First remove the player of ODD (CD/DVD) from the list in Device Manager.
Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ FAT32\ CurrentControlSet \ Control\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Finally, you must restart the device.

Once again, windows will recognize the STRANGE

  • Satellite A200-1vp with Vista - code 39 of the CD/DVD drive failure

    Hello

I was burning and watch DVDs on my Satellite A200 - 1 VP, with vista, since February, the last time I burned anything was a couple of weeks.

Suddenly, there is a problem, no response when I insert a disc and my divx player says me no recorder found.

When I am looking in the Device Manager I get the message 'windows cannot load the driver for this hardware' (code 39) "driver is damaged or missing.

I tried to uninstall it and using the limit filter upper/lower of Toshiba, repair tool but on restart it still cannot install.

Should I try the Toshiba Recovery Disc and lose a lot of that programs/files, as a last resort?
    Would this work?
    Anyone have any ideas?

Here's an interesting article from Microsoft Knowledge:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/270008/en-us

You must first access the Device Manager and should remove the reader of CD/DVD from the list of devices.
Then should access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Reboot the laptop and check if the CD/DVD drive would work again!

    Hello

When I was with Windows XP, I have never had problems to read or write on CD, CD - R, DVD, DVD - R or DVD - RW. But recently I installed windows seven, and since that day the drive won't recognize the DVD. I can still read and burn CDs and CD - R. I'm burning the same Virgin DVD-+ R/RW as before, but the drive won't detect them. Those I have already burn are not detected or the other.
My computer says that the CD/DVD drive work properly and drivers are up to date.
I tried to clean the lens, but nothing has changed. And I tried to reinstall the drivers, but I could not found for windows seven.
