Clicking printing noise

Printer all-in-one HP2610

Windows 7 Ultimate

I just installed new ink cartridges (96/97) and am getting a clicking sound when printing, but I don't get the clicks while using the copy function. I uninstalled and reinstalled the cartridge and run the alignment program. Don't know whether to run until it closed or replace it. I have about $90 in ink cartridges and impossible to find someone who uses them.

Hello Chuck1103,

  • Please open the rear hatch of the printer.
  • Clean the rollers using a lint, turning the direction of counter clock wise.
  • Close the rear access door.
  • Try to print.

If the problem persists, then call HP Tech Support (US) 1-800-474-6836

Kind regards
Jabzi

  • Satellite C670-11 q clicking loud noise the HARD drive

    Hello!

I helped my neighbor to find a new laptop and the entire installation and start-up.

We ordered a C670-11 q and it works very well, theres just a nuisance.
The drive made strong rattling noises, not as a dying or working drive. It's the same sound when you turn a disc, just a lot stronger. I guess that's the "arm of disc" that goes into its safe position.

I don't know if this laptop has a shock sensor to do this? The laptop was flat on the table, and there where NO vibrations while she does. There are no clicks under load, but they occur randomly when walking to the idle or surf/write normal.

I checked also save energy options and disabled to turn the disk, without help.
Also, this seemed odd, because the clicks occur often several times in a row. But there is no doubt it more when running on the battery.

I am running the BIOS and latest drivers in the area of support (as of yesterday).
The disk is configured in performance mode, I'm testing battery economy - should I?

And no, the drive took a beating. I was the first person to turn it on.

The drive is Hitachi, I don't run their analysis - no error.

Any help is greatly appreciated: o)

One of my computer portable HARD drive makes such noise too.

I m not exactly why, but I also think that it is at the head of discs moving record position.

However, I think that this is not really a malfunction since the laptop works pretty well and I didn't notice any problems with the HARD drive or files but I have created a backup of my files, just to be sure that you know

  • HP Envy x 360 15t w100 CTO: noticeable click/Static noise - HP Envy x 360 15 t

Immediately after the start of my new laptop HP Envy, I noticed a continual noise coming from the top right, above the numberic key. It's a click rotation, static noise and what looks like spinning. The noise resembles the hardrive treatment, however it is continuous with diferent sounds coming in waves. I read a few other complaints with the same question, but no solution. Noise is not arrogant but extremely annoying and can be heard in a quite room. I made sure to day/download the most recent included drivers and BIOS updates, which did nothing.

Here is a recording of the sound while the laptop is powered on with no application open... the noise becomes louder and more noticeable that several processes are used in 15 seconds.

Have someone solved this problem? I have the same... Thank you

NOPE! I really don't think that noise can be stopped unless HP will replace the HDD entirely for you.

I returned this laptop and just kept the other model that was purchased at Best Buy model HP Envy x 360 m6-103dx. The HP Envy 15 360 t x I received directly from HP was a major problem, not to mention the noise. It would not be closed. Every time I have would shut down the laptop, the laptop back on itself. The only way to shut it down was a closed hard, where you have to press and hold the power button for several seconds. I tried several ideas services troubleshooting HP customer and nothing has worked. No idea what was wrong with this machince.

  • Audible clicks of noise generation/acquisition vi

    Hey everybody!

    Fast facts:

I'm doing a vi to perform measurements of room acoustics.  The goal is to apply white noise octave band filtered in a room until a level of balance is reached, then turn off the sound source and measure the decay of the sound field in the room.  So, my vi generates white noise, filter by octave specified parameters, at the same time sends the output and begins data acquisition using DAQ assistant 2 blocks (both caused by an external function generator).  I put the exit exit DAQ assistant N samples (same number as generated by the simulation signal block) and the acquisition of input data is set to acquire more samples that block signalling simulation generates so that I continue to acquire the signal after speaker cuts wide and measure the sound field decomposition in the room.

    The problem:

The vi works perfectly except that when the speaker pauses at the end of the N samples is a notable very audible click, which must correspond to a kind of tip in the single output at the end of my example output N.  It is a big problem because it will change my measurements of the disintegration of his field. (see Appendix 1 for a screenshot of my vi)

    I tried unsuccessfully to solutions:

    (1) I thought that the click can be caused by sharply cutting the signal of excitement, so I tried to insert a block window to give a smooth envelope at the beginning and end of my signal.  The envelope fainted at the volume at well, but there was still a noticeable click and the end of the exit (after closing fade).

    (2) I tried to zero-pad to the end of the signal, thinking that I might be able to output a signal of amplitude zero while I measure the decay curve and I hope to delay the inevitable apparently, then click on until I have capture my data.  However, when I do this, my production Assistant DAQ gives me an error that the sample rate is 1 and the valid range of sampling frequencies are 800 1000 to 204.  Apparently the DAQ output is sent a single sample of my table of output data.  (see 2nd screenshot below)

I'm really puzzled, so any help would be greatly appreciated.  Be it a way to correctly implement my solution #2 from above, a new method to get rid or delay the click, or if someone can point me to an existing vi that will perform the functions of noise-excitation/acquisition that I need.

FYI, the material is a PXI-4461.

    Thanks in advance!

Here's the code to 9.0. As I said I have not tested, because I have no data on this PC acquisition unit

  • I've upgraded to windows 7. where is my right click Print in the missing model?

HP photosmart d7460 with all software installed on windows XP.   I had several photos of a folder selection function and do a right-click then presented with a copy to the model photo function.

I lost this feature after the purchase of a new computer with windows 7 and re - install all HP software.

I can access the photo through HP essentials model > print > print at home > photo model.

Want the option to context menu to reappear.   Any suggestions other than to re - install the HP software, which I did several times since the new computer arrived?

  • Printer after printing noises

I tried printing on my printer Photosmart C309a of just-out-of-the-box. It prints well, but 10 seconds after printing, it starts to make noise as the print heads are hunting back & suite and rolls and gear draw. It lasts about 40 seconds and does it every time. Is this normal for this model? I never heard any other printer to do this.

It's the printer print head maintenance after the print job to prepare the print heads to park.

  • My done printer a horrible, loud clicking noise when I click on print

All-in-one printer, HP Deskjet F4480: my printer is a horrible, loud clicking (3-5 clicks) of noise, just at the time when I click on print.  Once it starts the print cycle, the noise disappears.  The paper version is fine.  There is no paper jam, an ink problem or any other problem that I can diagnose.   I'd appreciate any help to what is the problem and what I can do about it.  Thank you.

  • Anyone know why the printing options has been removed in the contextual (right click Menu)?

Application Web has a window (javascript) template, cannot print more unless Ctrl-P is used, no mouse > right click > print...

Firefox has never had an element of context Menu for printing. If you had one in the past, it has been added to Firefox via an extension. Firefox 11.0a1 nightly just had moved from 10 to 11 today, it might take a few days for add-on developers test their compatibility add-on and works for Firefox 11.

  • Clicking noise rMBP 13 "Early 2015

My brand new Macbook Pro w / Retina display makes weird clicking metallic noise every time in some time even when placed on a flat surface. Even if I unplug everything including the load and mouse cable and watch a video with the sound turned off, or browse the internet, it always makes noises, (like the metal touch metal type sound) around 5 - 6 times a day. It is generally low, but it is still very annoying.

There is no HARD disk that could cause it. Well that sounds quite similar.

If you use a similar laptop, please report if you can hear all sounds (not exactly these) in a similar configuration, say, in 1 hour, by navigating with a mouse and not even touch.

I have the same kind of problem. I have a ticking noise similar to that of the hard drive with one click. It seems completely random, but I think that it is connected to the fan. I heard the sound of click while closing off the PC and when the fan speed increase. But it's completely random and unpredictable.

  • When I click on the button "print" it says printing but then fact a preview instead of print - how can I stop this?

This happens regardless of what program I'm in French - Excel, Outlook or Adobe.  I click on the "print" key expected him to go all straight to the printer, but instead I print priview & then have to click print again & then post again.

For the Office programs, you should be able to use Add the Quick Print icon on the Quick Access toolbar.  Click the arrow to the right of the QUICK access bar, select 'More commands' FRO the drop-down menu, change the menu drop-down "choose the controls of" in 'Commands not in the Ribbon' or 'Orders', scroll down to "Quick print" in the order list, select "Quick Print", and then click Add.  The icon to the position where you want to see in the QUICK access bar, and then click OK.  I don't know if the program that you use Adobe has a similar capacity because you do not say what type of program you use.  Adobe is a company, not a request.  Adobe applications are 'Adobe Reader', 'Adobe Acrobat', 'Adobe Flash Player', etc..

In addition, you must always specify your Windows version when viewing and posting in the right forum.

As your new, first of all we (as a community) asking you to do the following:

Click Start MS (lower left globe).

Click on Control Panel. then in the display control panel.

Hardware and sound, click printer. It should show different printers installed. One of them will have a green check mark. It is the default printer. You can select another printer by clicking with the right button on this printer and check marking it as default printer.

    (1) If you double-click on this printer, it will display all the documents (tail) in the meantime. In the upper bar is the printer. Click on and select Cancel all Documents. That clears the queue "impression".

    (2) test: right click on your default printer, select Printer Preferences, and did a Print Test page. He could be under "printer Services.

  • 8610e - all in one: cannot print from iMac

I have on my printer double-sided printing accessory.  Earlier she got stuck.  At the same time, internet is down too (not my friend today technology).  Internet back place - cleared jam - printer prints fine Panel of the printer (e.g. reports), WiFi connection shows that it is connected and working.

In fact a couple of times when I tried to print, I could say a signal tries to go to the printer because it makes noises as it prepares to print.

My daughter is able to print on the same network without wire of his MacBook.  Also able to print double-sided.

Please help with ideas of what could happen.

Hi @PamB56, welcome to the Forums of HP!

I want to help you print from your iMac. I understand it worked well and your daughter can always print from his MacBook, but you can't leave your iMac. Given that your daughter can print 2 sides still I believe that the hardware is functional and the problem you are experiencing may have to do with the driver. That said, I suggest resetting the printing system and repair disk permissions.

    Reset the printing system

    1. Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.
    2. In the hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/scanning dialog box opens.
    3. Do a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left panel and then click on reset printing system...
    4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
    5. Type the name and the correct password.
    6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows any selected printer

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

    Repair disk permissions

    • Click on your desktop so that it is written next to the Apple Finder icon, and then click OK (you will see this next to the Finder after file, edit and view).
    • Under Go, click Applications.
    • In Applications, select utilities.
    • In the Utilities folder, you will see disk utility, double-click on this icon to open the disc utilities.
    • Click on your hard drive, and then click first aid. Click OK to allow it to run.

Once the repair is completed, restart the computer and add the printer to the back.

When you add the printer, please ensure that you use the HP driver.

    1. Select Add another printer or Scanner
    2. Select the printer you are adding and next to the 'use' select the printer driver. As you can see from the image below, AirPrint driver will be automatically selected by default. You will need to choose your printer driver instead. Using the HP driver will help to isolate the problem, if the problem persists.

If this resolves the issue, please click Accept as Solution button below. If you need help, let me know and I will do everything I can to help.
