  I recently bought an SSD to accelerate my HP DV7. So I tried to clone my previous 1 TB to my 250 GB SSD hdd, but it seems that it's quite simple. :-(.

  I have created the exact same partitions (with the same size, orders, except for my main Windows partition type of course being given my SSD is much smaller) on the SSD as on my old Hdd. After that I made an exact copy of each 3 partitions (HP Recovery partition, system and tools Hp) but instead of copying the windows partition, I left a void on the SSD as the size of the Windows on the old hard drive partition is larger (the data) than the available size on the remaining on the SSD partition. I thought that I could boot on the SSD drive and start the restore process to install Win7 on the empty partition. But when I restart the pc, it does not seem to recognize the boot SSD partition, he prefers not to say "No operating system found".

  I also tried to activate the 3 partition directly (which is the recovery partition) to directly on boot as the partition, but it did not work either. The partition to activate before it was the 1st partition (which is the SYSTEM partition), but he has not worked either.

  Can someone help me do that cloning to work?

  Thanks for your comments I have a previous message, but strangely I have not found trace of the previous message, maybe I forgot to press the 'POST' button:-s.

  In any case, I was thinking that I understand your remarks Wawood but my goal isn't specifically for the windows on my new SSD partition (not interested in reducing the windows partition, it is just a statement), it was ok for me to any re - install from the recovery partition, a windows 7 from scratch.

  And I'd say Mista B by saying that it would have been stupid HP do not allow someone to use the recovery on the same pc partition, just because it has a different hard drive.

  Finally, I managed to do what I wanted to for those who are interested (HP is not so stupid after all:-p), here's the method I used to clone my hard drive of 1 TB to my 250 GB SSD and keep all the native HP (recovery, hp_tools, System) partitions with a 1 TB hard drive works correctly.

  So what I have is:

  -J' put the SSD as a second drive on my laptop (I guess it should work in the same way if connected by USB)

  -J' I started my pc and downloaded the EaseUs partition master

  -J' ran the program and began by doing a thorough cleaning of the SSD

  -J' made a copy of the system partition of my hard drive of 1 TB to my SSD

  -J' made a copy of the partition my hard drive of 1 TB HP_TOOLS to my SSD

  -J' made a copy of the recovery of my 1 TB hard drive partition to my SSD

  -J' created a new empty NTFS partition in the remaining partition

  I'm done with the same exact score as agenda in my 1 TB HDD.

  After that my SSD was not bootable, because the MBR has not yet been copied.

  Then I started a live CD of Ubuntu and I installed boot-repair and he ran.

  I chose the advanced options and set set the mbr and boot from the partition 3.

  I then put the partition recovery (partition 3) as being ACTIVE.

  I removed the hard drive of 1 TB of the laptop (to avoid any error during execution of recovery which ends with the recovered 1To:-p) beeing and replaced it with the SSD.

  I then rebooted the laptop and it starts directly on the recovery partition. I finished in the recovery strategy (I could not choose the recovery from an earlier point in time given that the windows partition is empty (no windows backup)).

  I chose over the full restore, the slight recovery with only OS and drivers and it does the job of recovery. Now that the of what I write this resolved thread :-).

  Hope this helps some people out there with the same questions.

  Detailed long version

  I have a macbook mid 2012 retina not pro that I wanted to have the option to be able to boot from a windows and a mac. As a result, I bought a samsung EVO solid state drive for this purpose.   The formatting SSD is not related to the issue with the product key. Windows Setup reformats the SSD in the main Bay NTFS still. If the SSD is less than 2 TB, you can format the MBR with attempts as well as FAT32 format.

  Recently bought a laptop Y510p and of course, I wanted to have an SSD as boot drive.

  I downloaded a software of cloning and cloned partition of Windows operating system that I intended to keep all of the original partitions intact Lenovo on the original hard drive.

  I put the original HARD drive in a caddy and replaced the DVD drive and put the SSD where was the original HARD disk.

  I tried to change the boot order in the Bios, but no matter what it just comes down to boot from the original HARD disk.

  I don't know what I have to do to make it boot from SSD, clone all partitions from the disk? I have Windows 8 discs, or anything like that, so I want to just clone the HDD of origin, as it was installed in the laptop.

  If you buy your Crucial SSD, they have a kit to transfer your operating system on the new drive. There are several ways to move the operating system or preferably a clean install on your new drive and then you can simply transfer your personal affairs on the use of the external hard drive caddy.

• CS6 organize no newly cloned SSD Drive

  I am running OSX on a Mac Pro mid 2012 10.9.5. All my applications are installed on the drive including 6 CS PS to boot. This an installed version of CS6 is not running on the cloud. I cloned this drive to a new SSD to boot. I nominated the SSD cloned as my boot drive. I was able to boot from this drive cloned with all my apps launch without a hitch. The exceptions are CS5 and CS6.

  When I try to launch the new drive CS6 first I get the error message "Could not open zero because the disk is not available" by clicking ok is followed by the message "could not initialize Photoshop because the disk is not available.

  What are the possible fixes? I would prefer not to have to reinstall as I always had trouble with re to record. Would it be useful to disassemble my original boot drive?

  Running applications focused on other players does not work.  You must install the software disks or downloads.  The installation routine makes the necessary changes to system (registry) files, etc...

  From my experience, produced Adobe (Creative Suite & Creative Cloud) work best when they are installed on the main hard drive - in Apps (Mac) or folders Program Files (Win).  Of course, you can store your work files in any local folder or a drive that you want.  It is up to you.

  The answer is YES, it is possible to connect using one different user than SYSUSER CC & B. The tomcat - users.xml file configuration of the Web server to tomcat user, but you must create the user of the Application as well. The reason why you are able to connect to the CC & B using the SYSUSER user just after installation, this is because the user is already registered in the application itself, in other words, is to live in the CC & B database.

  I El Capitan 10.11.5 on my iMac and it leads me into the wall, sometimes after that the machine went to sleep maybe it's all night or just after an hour I touch the mouse or key to get the login screen and when I press a button to write my password of the logo box fills itself and I can not stop it without a manual stop and wait a few minutes then restart and every thing is ok.

  Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

  I recommend that you test the question while in safemode, and then restarting your iMac and test again.

• 10.11.4 update failure-unable connect

  I have an iMac late 2009 (16 GB of RAM, 2 to HD, DVD player) with 10.11.3 OSX that works perfectly. I tried to upgrade to 10.11.4 unsuccessfully with the update stopping approximately 65% through the update (after downloading OK). Repeated reboots gave the same question. I could also not connect mode without failure.  At this point, I used Time Machine to restore to 10.11.3 successfully (after 12 hours!)

  After watching here and Apple forums and not to see problems of update, I tried the following:

  1. Run the Firmware and OSX updates separately in the folder of the update library. Firmware updated to date very well, but when I ran the update, it seemed to fill but to restart the system gets to connect and then stops after entering the password. I tried several times and same result.
  2. Found if I login as a guest, starting system complete OK suggests something incompatible, but I cannot access my boot or a comment folder preferences
  3. Disconnected everything except keyboard and the connection attempt. In the deadlock. Reset the PRAM. No connection
  4. Recovery opportunity do OSX reinstall NET IE OSX 10.11.4 after also runs the diagnosis of disc which was ok. Completed and wedge still connecting system. I noted that Recovery HD on iMac is now 10.11.4. Fortunately, I have a backup of the old Recovery HD on external drive.
  5. Doing another restore from Time Machine to return to 10.11.3

  Looking for suggestions for this problem. Otherwise I will probably not be able to make future updates up important and maybe not then.

  Please edit your profile to reflect the version of Mac OS X, you have installed. You have a question about your old installation of Mac OS X, then restoring a backup will not help you. I suggest you should do the following:

  1. Restart the computer and after the chime hold down the COMMAND and R until Utilities Menu appears.
  2. Select disk utility, and then click continue.
  3. Select Macintosh HD entry indented in the list to one side.  Click Delete in the toolbar. Set the Type of Format Mac OS Extended journaled on the menu drop down. Click the clear button. Once the process is complete, quit disk utility.
  4. Select reinstall OS X and click on the button continue.

  Can someone help me?

  Are you using the original Win8 version you got with your laptop Qosmio (factory settings)?
  Original recovery image should have all the necessary drivers on your laptop.

  I just bought a new Macbook Pro today.

  I already have a Macbook air with imessage and FaceTime.

  But when I want to connect to my iMessage on my Macbook Pro to nog I still get the same error: "an error occurred while verifying identity.

  Can someone help me?

  If it comes with OS X 10.11.4 it is a problem with iMessage and Face Time prevents a user connection. There should be a solution soon...
