SRM RDM - unable connect NFC services

Hello

I'm under 4.1 SRM on vSphere 4.1 using replicated without XIV. A test of MRS. failover has produced the following error for a Windows virtual machine cluster. The task was to retrieve VM and the error = cannot connect NFC services. This virtual machine is a Windows 2003 3 node cluster using several disks of rdm in physical compatibility mode. All nodes in the cluster has failed with this error message. Why? and how to fix it?

Thank you

GTC

All other virtual machines (Inc. those in the same group as the cluster protection) more OK.

Hi guy,

the problem is my SRM Server DNS, in the newspaper that I found

NfcNewAuthdConnectionEx: Unable to connect to peer (numRetries = 0). Error: Failed to search for host for esx4xxx.xxx.int server address: the requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found

If my srm server does not correctly resolve the hostname of my ESX hosts.

Hope this is useful

As Mike said, you need fix your model first and then to supply some new VDIs starting from the working model.

Once you have done this, let us know if you still get the question of confidence.

  • HP connection manager: Fatal Error, HP Connection Manager Service has stopped responding.

    Hey there,

I have a very big problem with HP Connection Manager 4 on several Windows 7 laptops. The program is installed on about 250 laptop computers and some of them drive me crazy. Everything was fine until some point (I'm not quite sure, that could be after the installation of SP1, Win7), the connection manager has decided to stop working on some machines. Whenever I try to start it, it takes a long time to load until the following message is displayed:

    "HPConnectionManager.exe - fatal error '.

HP Connection Manager service has stopped responding. Quit and restart the application.

A fatal error occurred, check the HP connection manager in the event viewer for more details.

I tried the following on one of these books:

-Start the service manually: "Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly."

-Msconfig: Removed any connection associated with Autostart Manager

    -Reinstall the HP connection manager

    -Repair HP Connection Manager

    -Reinstall .NET 3.5

    -Changed some regkeys

-Install Microsoft Hotfix KB2519740 which is part of the system essential updates for Microsoft Windows 7 (that I can't download because there is a server error)

The only thing that really works is to reinstall the laptop with the image with which we install all of them. HP connection manager is installed as a software later so I don't understand why a reinstall is successful.

I'm really tired of this problem, and I have a few unhappy customers on my back, so if you have any suggestions for me, please help.

    Hi sunelchandraoli,

    1. when exactly you receive this error?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    Step 1:

"Make sure that all the services of the dependence of the"Remote Access Connection Manager"" are launched in the list of services...

    a. Click Start, type services.msc in the box start the search.

    b. select Services from the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    c. right click on the Remote Access Connection Manager service and then click Properties.

    d. under the general tab, click Manual next to startup type.

    e. under the general tab, click Start under the service status and then click OK.

    f. also check for long-term services.

    II. telephone

    III. Plug-and-Play

    IV. Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

    c. of DCOM Server process Launcher

    VI RPC end point mapper.

Make sure that the above services are started in the services list. If this is not the case, start all services above and check.

    Step 2:

You can also try a system restore to a prior restore point you have been affected by the issue.
