CloneVM with the County of spefic CPU

Hello guys!

I use CloneVm to create a new virtual machine, but I want to specify the number of processors. I did a little research and realized I could use 'changeVMvCPU' to achieve this goal. However, I was wondering if it is not possible to define the processors rely directly on "CloneVM". , Someone knows?

Thank you

Roger

Pouvez re - write your own operations of cloneVM, manually rebuild the process/action to add the proper context to change the material at the time of the clone... If you REALLY want. I've never bored because it was not worth the effort since the way in which I pointed out uses the existing workflows and actions that do not add time to the overall deployment time. The choice is yours, so, in short, the answer is YES, you should be able to do this in a single call, it's just a lot of effort to get the installer

See the code inside the changeVMvCPU action to see how to set the necessary context for CPU. Other important actions to look at code:

cloneVM - note the entry "spec".

    Solution is below.

    While (access (rawfilename, F_OK)! = - 1) {}
    rawfilenamecount ++;
    sprintf (format, RawFileName, rawfilenamecount);
    fprintf (stderr, "file exists");
    }

  • Problem with the HP Envy 17 CPU/GPU?

    Hello, I bought this Hp Envy 17 in Hong Kong last summer, around July or August.

    http://h20386.www2.HP.com/HongKongStore/BundleDetail.aspx?pdetail=P322497&

    I mainly used for editing video and games. People frequently say oveheats, so that, I think. About 2 weeks ago I could still run my thin, especially Train Simulator 2014 Games, I use bandicam for the registration of sequences. I was able to get up to 120 fps, I lock to 30 fps when recording. A few days later if I could barely 30 when registering, and my overall fps dropped to 50. So I uninstalled the game and installed again, and Bandicam. Now I have even worse fps, I barely 27 at the no registration NO. I checked the forums and many people say that this computer is overheating, so I was wondering if it has something to do with overheating CPU or GPU or something. I don't really know what the problem is and I want to correct the situation as soon as possible.

    Thank you

  • Satellite Z930 - Possible WiDi with the Intel Core i7 CPU?

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Z930 and I am trying to expand the display of the monitor to a new TV that I just bought wireless. -Is is possible to connect to the laptop via WiDi?

    Main specifications of my laptop are:
    -Intel Core i7-3667U @2. 00 Ghz
    -Wireless LAN - AR9485WB-EG Atheros wireless network adapter

    Any ideas?

    M.

    Hello

    Intel WiDi is based on Intel technology and this support depends on the Wlan card built in Notepad.
    You need to use the Intel WiDi, Intel WLAN module which is part of the 6000 Centrino series.

    As you mentioned in you original post above; the laptop seems to be equipped with an Atheros WLan card.
    The Atheros WLan card does not support the Intel WiDi and therefore, you will not be able to use this technology.

  • Field of browser BlackBerry 2: Crash when loading web page with the County to expand

    I use the browser Blackberry 2 custom field in my application to display local html pages that I load device SD Card. For the few notes I met the application crash.

    I quickly tested behavior Blackberry browser for these pages and found that it crashes too. Steps to reproduce:

    1 torch 9800, operating system. 6.0

    2 copy attached to SD card files

    3. access to these files by using application "files."

    4. try to open the test.html file by clicking on it.

    5 blackberry browser will crash.

    Issues related to the:

    1. scope of browser Blackberry 2 uses the same API as Blackberry browser on platforms 6.0.x?

    2. is there no work around for this problem?

    Mark,

    Thank you for your comments. But I finally found the solution me

    The solution is the following:

    (1) change us html so that it will contain no image resources.

    (2) for each image resources, we create something like

    or any other appropriate HTML element. Here, we will retain certain information that will help us identify how and where we need to charge, a kind of identity.

    (3) first load us the HTML page in the application. It should load without any problems.

    (4) then call us the JavaScript function that will replace our

    items with images using the timer. It is possible with BrowserField2.invokeScript (). When the script will replace an HTML element with element, which could cause some resources load (I mean handleResourceRequest), so you should run with it.

    I tested this solution in my application and crash problems have been solved even when we have a lot of images on the web page stored locally in the device memory or on the SD card.

    Does it that way if you want to use the alias with the County, you must do the following:

    Select count (test.column) from my_table test;

    Select test.* my_table test;

    This has happened

    A few times a week

    is after update of Firefox 3.6.4

    I have the same problem with Firefox 3.6.6 except that it also consumes massive amounts of CPU during the race. This version also adds a new process on your system. I am running XP and in the beginning I tried to disable some plug-ins. Always consumed too much memory. I went back to version 3.6 and the new process went, and the CPU consumption is way down. Something is wrong with the latest version of Firefox, I never saw behave this way. Revert to a previous version (Filehippo) and you will see the difference.

  • HP DV7-3063cl laptop PC: what is the maximum temperature for safe operation of the DV7 3063 cl with the upgrade of the 640 M CPU?

    I have recently restored a HP DV7 3063 cl laptop that died a hot mother (MB). I replaced the MB with a new Board of Directors of HP when the price has been reduced to $100, updated the CPU with an announced as new AMD 640 M and applied Arctic Silver on CPU and graphics chips. I put in 4 G memory cool, got the computer to work and installed Windows 10.

    The computer seems to run very hot and stopped twice from overheating during its first period of 2 weeks when it there was not a lot of calculating, fan was run at top speed at all times, and the laptop was high to allow good airflow below.

    According to the program of the Open Hardware Monitor, the CPU had reached 97-99 C a few times. I bought support cooling a player and that seems to help a lot, dropping the temperature to 20 ° C.

    What is the maximum temperature for safe operation of the DV7 with the upgrade of the 640 M CPU?

    Anything more than 90 c is too hot. You can specify the processor and the motherboard you have installed?

    Also if this from the Manual:

    Thermal paste is used on 1 CPU and heat sink section 2 that the services it. Thermal pads are used on the chip Northbridge 3 and 4, the graphical subsystem chip 5 contact Northbridge and graphics/heatsink contact 6. Thermal material replacement is included with all kits of spare parts of processor, heatsink and system board.

    So unless you have changed the cooling system to heat composed on the chip graphic you should have used a thermal buffer. Without the pad, it may leave just a small hallway and destroy the cooling properties. You can use a shim in copper or other piece of something metal to fill the void, but if you just put the heat sink down on the video chip you won't get optimal even with thermal cooling paste.

  • ThinkPad T510 problem with the CPU frequency

    Hello
    I was a problem with the CPU frequency - in DC or battery it works 1/2 frequency (1196 MHz), but when my thinkpad plugged and is with battery it works OK (2400 MHz).
    Do you have any suggestions how to solve this problem.

    ThinkPad T510 (4384) intel core i5, 6 GB of Ram.
    Thank you.
    Best regards Nikolay

    What your seeing is actually normal and a result of power management settings. When it is on battery, the reduced CPU clock speed to improve the battery life and only increases in speed if a program requires processing power (games, adobe photoshop, CAD, etc.). If you wish, you can disable this feature by setting the "maximum performance" option in the Lenovo power management program and get into the bios and disable "Intel Speedstep" and similar power options setting. I hope this helps.

  • wanted: new HP desktops with the Intel (Skylake) CPU 6700 series

    For those who have purchased a HP desktop with Intel (Skylake) CPU 6700 series in, you should read this web info on a defect confirmed in CPU micro code which can cause blockages or problems when doing some heavy calculations:

    http://www.PCWorld.com/article/3021023/hardware/how-to-test-your-PC-for-the-Skylake-bug.html

    A fix has not yet been determined by Intel and my cat with the HP support was not successful to determine what HP knows about this problem and what they will do to ensure that those of us who have bought desktop witht this CPU will have the problem fixed.  According to web article, it could be something as simple as an update of the BIOS or as drastic as a reminder of the CPU and the replacement by Intel.

    I hope someone from HP will know more about it and reply to this post so that we are not left out in the cold.

    Hello:

    It is a peer to peer forum.

    I suggest using this link and ask HP to keep you in the loop.

    Who knows, they may not even be aware of the issue.

  • HP 550: updated hp 550 memory and cpu with the unconventional settings. is not ideal, but not other choice

    HI guys, I hope you can help or at least give a point in the right direction. I am a freelance photographer with a large part of the suite creative Adobe CS6. After a disaster of a week, I came home to find the motherboard on my editing station is fried somehow. I don't know what happened though I wouldn't put past my inattention of roommates.
    I'm desperate. I have to finish my current job until I'm able to afford to buy a replacement. So I have to rely on stop-gap measures, in desperation to finish my project, that are less than ideal, but so far are doing better than I'd hoped.
    Im a photographer, Capture One, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro are the go for workaholic applications that I need to work. without them I have no income. in order to have this machine run these applications,
    the machine I have left is an old hp 550 that was gathering dust in the closet. It was built for 32 bit Win XP and in no case is designed to run adobe products food pork I use, particularly of Lightroom.
    Unfortunately PS with Lightroom and first are 64-bit programs and LR and first are hyper threaded. so I did some research and with the help of the list of the utility windows 7 Advisor to upgrade instructions, I was able to get windows 7 Pro 64-bit to install and run.

    I know that this is not the ideal machine or the situation, but for a few weeks, I need to make it work.

    I really just 2 simple questions. First of all, I went to the HP technical support. but they were not useful. as the guarantee of the laptop are long gone, they would be not even polite and basically told me to shove off. Then on another forum, I called back and comes with a knowledge it all who constantly insisted on the fact that there was no way no how this pc could run 64 bit win 7, which i thought what am I seeing things? It works very well for 3 months. So I decided to come to you. your forums were useful on many occasions.

    Basically, I need this machine to run these programs during the next month or two, until I can buy a new machine.

    essentially, what I want to know, it's the motherboard support an upgrade of the processor? and if anything goes, what do you suggest as a substitute, given my needs? The Core 2 duo is the bare minimum of what I can limp with like photo/video rendering times are excessively slow.

    then I was talking to the support staff essential tech upgraded memory. and possibly set the bios to force to run 8 gigs of ram. They said that they have cold cannot find any version of bios that would make that possible, but only by forcing already run 64 bit, which has already allowed the pc to use the full 4 GB of ram, which was impossible in the 32-bit format. He suggested that I buy 2 4 gig modules such as 4 GB DDR2 PC2-5300 unbuffered NON - ECC, 1.8V 512Meg x 64 which can be seen at http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory/ct51264ac667 and try to install the full 8 concerts and see what would happen, saying that he had a feeling that I might get lucky. his logic is that the 64-bit system already open the ram limits and who knows, you can't make an omelet without cracking of eggshells! It seemed very optimistic. So, what do you think? It seems likely you because I love to work. or do you think the guy was a quack? and this whole endeaver is a waste of time and money?

    also, any other suggestions on how to time this month long storm that do not involve suggestions of buying new machines would be appreciated!

    Unfortunately, the maximum configuration is a processor T5670 1.8 ghz and 4 GB of DDR2-667 memory, you already have. The CPU includes the 64-bit instructions is not surprising, that it can run Windows 7 64-bit. My best advice is to save your money for when you can get a real working machine. The only other likely to help is a solid state drive, you might use in the laptop and then also use the new computer that you intend to buy.
