  I am new to OBIEE and need help with the cloning of a dashboard so I can add more columns to the new cloned dashboard. I just want some assurance how to do this, because I don't want to spoil the previous dashboard because users still use it. I have looked everywhere for advice and could not find anything on this. It doesn't seem to be as simple as copy and paste it into a different folder...

  Why not?

  It's just a copy/paste

  (the dashboard of course, not only the page you want to change).

  Of course if you links/actions in your dashboard they still link to the original as OBIEE use full paths and relative paths, so these will require to be edited and modified to your new copy dashboard where you have.

  You have the latest patches applied AutoConfig and quick Clone?

  Please put to update the context file target for values above and make sure that it match those of the source instance and enforced AutoConfig then.

  .. and in all this, the only thing that no one seems to talk (as his treatise by a VC in ESX) are Windows SID.

  Take the 2nd link for example, I have reproduced the process of using the browser of data store for each (as mentioned in the 2nd link) copy the new VM VMDK file with no discs and works in principle, as long as the virtual machine starts without a problem, or to remove the inventory, or make a complete copy of the file of the virtual machine , you clone lives in, in the DS browser and add it back in stock again (sorry, almost sentence makes no sense but I hope you get my meaning).

  However, in the back of my mind and the reason why I don't want to go much more even without checking permanently with 'experts' is that I have no idea and that he can't seem to find any mention of what happens on SID wise in these "poorman cloning" alternative ESXi...

  I read so much today, my poor brain hurts wee I was wondering if someone could help to shed light on that.

  I want to only create a few templates to save me having to wait an hour for different flavors of Windows Installer. Nothing complicated, I don't need all the features of SysPrep, I do not need auto connect to domain existing etc... simply a windows fully updated the base image that I can take occasional copies of for test purposes.

  Is it possible for the simple "user" who experimented with ESXi? Or I have to sell my mother and sister to pay for the VC to clone and obtain images with unique sid?

  I'm working on cloning of multi-user single node and when you connect using
  http://...:OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp invite to adter name and user password, enter the username and clicking "login" on the next page the URL http://...:OA_HTML/fndvald.jsp dating... Unable to display the page and when checked in error_log in the apache logs I see errors like

  I checked the xml files and it of nothing pointing to the environment of the source, and ran autoconfig who successfully completes. can you please let me know, what file the source information is taken from?

  First go to the location of Apache/cfg and see the files (apps.conf, oprocmgr.conf, trusted.cof). If these files have the Instance of Source nodes entries), this error may appear.
  Temporary work around (remove entries from these source files and a bounce Apache)
  Permanent solution: update the FND_NODES table and running autoconfig, bounce Apache.

• Cloning hard drive, CC and Adobe Apps will work if I need to restore a clone?

  Hi, I am currently setting up a new Mac and intend to install my Adobe Apps through creative cloud. Installing all my software can take a long time, when I have downloaded all my apps I want to make a backup image of the hard drive of my Mac on a USB drive to give me an option to quickly restore a pure install my snack programs nothing is ever bad. My Adobe apps still work with that or they will stop working if I ever need to restore my clone image?

• Migration/cloning between ESX3.5 and ESX4

  We have a server to update 1 of vcenter 4.0 vsphere with ESX3.5 hosts.

  Once we improve some of our guests to ESX4, can we migrate/clone between 3.5 and 4.0 guests?  (no vmotion, clone/migrate just standard).

  I wasn't sure if there are changes to the "material" to the VM themselves.  Or that don't apply to the new virtual machines built directly on ESX 4?

  vSphere supports VMS created in VI-3 (Hardware version 4) and vSphere (Hardware Version 7). • R12.1.3 - question on db level cloning and oraInventory

  R12.1.3 on Linux RH 5.8 64-bit.

  I cloned an instance of Prod to go through the application Jan 2014 PSU etc.  It comes to take the DB of 11.2.0.3.5 to 11.2.0.3.9.

  Which seemed to work ok once I understood what I had to do (previous post that revealed that I had to restore a few patches).

  Now, I want to run through this process again and after cloning this instance once more I found that my order "opatch lsinventory" tells me that I'm already patched to the level of the power supply.

  I tried to rebuild my oraInventory via $ORACLE_HOME/oui/bin/attachHome.sh, then ouicli.pl, but in both cases, he tells me that I'm already at 11.2.0.3.9.

  So is this a case of my $ORACLE_HOME is not being rebuilt as part of the update?

  My cloning process is scripted and I use RMAN with a double active command I am running «adcfgclone.pl dbTechStack»  I think these are the relevant entries while I also update fnd_profile_option_values etc. and fnd_concurrent_requests.  Finally, it then executes adautocfg.sh.

  I have to do something more to get an own ORACLE_HOME?  What is my problem?

  Why do you still have files in the former $ORACLE_HOME on the target node?

  Please change inventory_loc "inventory_loc = / app/oracle ', remove all files that belong to this instance (including oraInventory), runs to go ahead with the cloning process (preclone, copy all files, postclone).

  Stop all THE APPS / DB.
  
  Copied all files from source to target nodes nodes.
  
  Now my question is should I run clone first on on DBTier APPS or APPS APPS component first.
  My understanding is
  
  (1) clone competitor/Admin (residing in pane DB) first.
  (2) level APPS.
  (3) DBTier (DB).
  
  Please suggest if anything should be updated.

  You can follow the same approach to upgrade the database and apply the fixes 7 ORS ATG group level.

  Please make sure that you apply the patches in (known issues on top of 11i. ATG_PF. H.Delta.7 (RUP7) - 6241631 [858801.1 ID]). In addition, make a full backup before you start this on your instance of production and if possible get an instance cloned with SSO enabled and test all patches on an identical instance.

  Our EBS 11i is running on server HP with OS 4.6 RHEL and a single node only. This server was purchased 6 years ago and lately it is show the performance degradation. We want to migrate/upgrade to a model like high-end HP and make a knot of multiples. But the latest HP model doesn't support a minimum version of RHEL 5.
  My question is, is the support for EBS cloning 11i RHEL 4.6 to RHEL 5? How can I migrate EBS 11i with this kind of scenario?
