• Help with Menu in three Dimensions

  I'm new to Indesign and start designing a restaurant three-tiered menu. I took a sample menu and measured the dimensions are approximately 5.5 "x 11" for each Board. "

  However, I know that the inner spread must be a different, perhaps smaller or larger size. I guess my question is what is the right way to implement this model tri-fold.

  Advice or tips to setting this up will be greatly appreciated.

• Persistent memory problems

  The two OS - x under macOS Sierra 10.12, all a few minutes my Mac slows down and now Activity Monitor shows at least one and sometimes up to three "Installer" process running - each consume at least 1.5 GB of memory.  Of course, these are the indicator of memory pressure in the red zone.  When I force - enough this / these process the memory pressure is green (all other processes each use 500 MB of memory (with the exception of the kernel to 750 MB) or less).  Kill the installation process does not seem to interfere with what I had running (typical set of apps: Messaging, calendar, contacts, messages, Safari (multiple tabs), etc.).

  A few minutes later, about an hour later, my new Mac slows down, I check activity monitor and find one or more "Installer" still running processes and consumption of several gigabytes of memory.

  I want to understand what causes the start installation process and consume a lot of memory - and how to cope.

• I lost the favorite icon on the right side of the top menu bar.

  I used to have the star on the right side of my head at the top of the page. Somehow he disappeared and I can't restore it. (I still unrolling of bookmarks in the menu bar, it's not what I'm missing.)

  2. think to famiiliariser: why can not I have the Menu bar (with "bookmarks" in there) AND the drop-down list of bookmarks in the Navigation bar? WHY? Redundancy is MY CHOICE if I want. And I do. User can choose the features on the navigation bar regardless of what is on the other bars. (Obviously). Programmers cannot make important choices for users of these things. Programmers are terrible to the user interface design and must be kept off it aggressively. A separate team should make the design of the user interface and protect it from programmers.

  3 use the links in your comments about re-designers of Firefox 'smart' to please LEAVE THE CONTROL INTERFACE ALONE. When 1 billion people get used to things being a certain way and they like it more or less like this, and change you it, it means that 1 billion people will have 1 billion hours of frustration and anxiety trying to figure out what the f happened to their trust, beloved the button or the menu. You have not the right to inflict this suffering - leave it alone. The user interface is to the users - NOT for programmers. If it's not broken, don't FIX IT!

• Transfer VHS video to DVD with Qosmio F10

  I really need help, I want to transfer my VHS to my Qosmio F10 videos, edit them and then burn to DVD. I have cable supplied with the machine, more I bought a Svideo cable. I have tried all the ways to connect to their place, but without success. Someone would have a go at describing the steps I must follow to do this?
  I'm not a computer expert, simple language not techno would be appreciated.

  You are looking at a three-step process: -.

  1. connect your VHS player to your laptop (S-Video/s-Video is recommended for better quality imagery, but you'll also need to connect the audio cables from your VHS player to your Qosmio for sound.)

  2. change the captured audio and video using a proprietary software package. You may already have Windows Movie Maker installed, but you can also consider other packages of Nero, Ulead, Pinnacle, Roxio, etc.

  3 burn the project finished on a DVD.

  The whole project can be a minefield, so I recommend taking each step in turn and carefully progressing thanks to gain experience.

  Finally, don't download discouraged by the apparent conflicts between the different pieces of hardware and software. The final result will be very rewarding.

• A60-155: operating system does not start.

  I have a TOSHIBA A60-155. When I turn on the laptop it doesn't load the operating system, I have read the manual and apparently it is a self-test failure, I tried selecting all modes start but nothing will work. I have not yet tried any recovery CD the problem started after I pressed the power off because the computer froze. Does anyone have the solution to this problem?

  I would also like to know what the BIOS is and what I need to update? my laptop is around the age of six months.

  Hi Ben,

  First of all, you need to update your BIOS if your laptop is only a few months old.

  Second, the boot sequence for your laptop is a three step process:-

  1. the post OFFICE will verify the functionality of your attached peripheral resources, DVD, disk HARD etc.

  2. the BIOS then load and deal with the allocation of RAM etc and also initialize the functions of the basic system of your laptop.

  3. BIOS bed the Master Boot Record to determine what operating system you have installed will be then load the required system or give you a menu of options which you can choose.

  If you press the ESC key as soon as starts the ignition process, you should see the results of the first two steps (the POST and the initial BIOS load).

  The fact that you see the selection menu with the choice of types of loads (i.e., Safe Mode etc.) suggests that your system is unable to load your operating system from the hard drive. The fact that none of the options work indicates that there is a fundamental problem with your hard drive.

  If you have a bootable CD then I suggest that you try to boot your system from CD (press and hold the F12 key during the first power on sequence and select your CD drive in the list).

  Alternatively you can restore your operating system recovery CD, but it will format your hard drive, which results in the loss of your data.

  I would create a trifold in Pages 5.6.1 brochure but are not models to choose from.  A Google search indicates that there used to be three-tiered models, but it seems that it is no more.  So is it possible to do it manually, other than the creation of 3 columns (which forces me to fill a column before moving on to the other)?

  There are two models Tri-fold in the selector of models under miscellaneous. You can use these, or use them as guides for roll. You can open models tri-fold for Pages, Microsoft Word and using them too. Otherwise, use a search engine, or visit the OS X App Store, as the models really Bravo will cost probably silver.

• Save a doc Docx

  I'm building a tool for our team. One of its features must be the ability to change a docx doc file, but so far I couldn't really figure out how to convert the file. I use tools to generate report for a few other features.

  I'm not a pro in visual basic for applications, but I made a macro that I insert and remove with labview in another goal. So far, I wasn't able to make a good macro that saves files in a doc withouth change anything.

  Can anyone recommend a solutiuon for this problem? A visual basic macro or labview solution is fine or some advice on how to solve it on my own.

  Oops, I made a stupid mistake speaking of Excel.  Talking Word, not Excel, while I was 'thinking' Excel yet said ".doc" and ".docx".  However, I think that the same principle should apply.  I understand that you have not tried my suggestion of a "three step process", nor my suggestion to post a sample ".docx" for us to try, so I'll go through the steps again, with explanation.  You don't have to try this - you can just say ' thanks for trying to help, but I'm not going to listen to you. "  I'll be disappointed, but not insulted...

  1. Let's say that your document is called "My Doc.docx".
  2. Make a 'new report', specifying 'Word' with 'My Doc.docx' as the 'Template '.  Note that this is not the same is defined as a Word (.dot or .dotx file) - template it is a term of LabVIEW.
  3. Do a "save report in a file", by specifying the name of 'My DRAFT_David_French_version_.doc' (not .docx).  You will need the full file path, of course.
  4. Throw the report and put an end to the program.

  Try this.  If it does not or does something unexpected, a report (and provide an example of .docx file!).  Or say "Sorry, I don't want try your suggestion, but thanks for trying to help" and I'll stop trying to help you.

• How can I create multiple threads parallel programaticaly?

  Hi all!

  I work in RF test lab that I would "stress" equipment using SNMP/Telnet/TFTP and other things, so I have to use parallel model for this.

  But my problem is that the user will select the number of threads in parallel will start, depending on the type of equipment!

  I created a reentrant VI which loops until a global goes wrong.

  An another GUI VI, the user inserts a number random, example 3, and in the GUI VI, I create 3 threads running through the reentrant VI.

  In GUI VI, I used a loop to "Reference Open VI", build an array of references to the first reentrant VI and then I tried to run by using "Call By Reference" in another loop, but only the first VI is running.

  By placing "Call by reference" three times in the GUI VI, all works well because the reentrant VI is cloned three times and parallelism is offered, but I need to establish the number of clones per programming.

  Is there a way to clone screws when running? Or... there at - it a different approach for this task?

  without the while loop is no problem, but you should load the vi dynamically. See the attached picture. You can set all controls with the invoke node.

• No sound, unable to update windows, a variety of error codes and dssenh.dll problems... Help?

  I'm running a Toshiba with Windows Vista. The 24th of this month, I have installed the updates for my computer, but when I rebooted I had absolutely no noise. I double checked to make sure it was not cut, I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, and then I tried to do a system restore. None of them worked.

  Then I tried to check updates more see if this would help to solve my current problem and began to find more mistakes, such as "could not find updates, error code: 800 b 0001 ' or 'Code error 8024402F' these are mistakes that I see most.

  Then when I go to open certain programs I get errors that say something about ' bad image: problem with Dssenh.dll "when I try to save it again, I get other errors with about 5 other .dll files.

  Of course, I went to the Microsoft website long enough... and I went through multiple options and steps, but nothing helped. So I thought that my last option is to ask.

  The last thing I can find is to download the "System update readiness Tool" to check for problems.

  Well, I can't download or run because of my error '800 b 0001'.

  I don't know what I would do at this point... Help?

  Before the update from the update began when my computer was being restarted... I had a black screen and had a weird three-step process that was supposed to be recommended. Meanwhile, there was a flood of information that crosses the screen.
  I ran a scan complete antivirus just in case, but it could be a virus that has not been detected?

  McAfee (and Norton) applications are notorious for not to uninstall (or upgraded) themselves!

  1. download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  4 test cycle.

• BlackBerry Smartphones (App) not available for download from Blackberry App World

  I use a Blackberry Bold 9000 (personal use) on Bell Mobility.  The operating system is v5.0.0.681 (1137 Bundle, platform 5.2.0.64) and I'm in v2.0.1.12 App World.

  My App World worked well until I have asked me to set up my Blackberry ID.  Since then, App World is basically useless.  My main questions are:

  1. Whenever I try to connect on App World, I am taken to the additive screen of Blackberry App World membership.  I accept the conditions each time, but nothing is recorded, and I have to go through the same process the next time I log on.
  2. When I try to download updates to existing applications, I get the dreaded "...". not available for download on Blackberry App World. »
  3. When I try to download new applications (IE TSN Mobile), I get the same "... not available for download from Blackberry App World."

  After a very long session with Bell Mobility and RIM Technical Support staff, I was able to solve the problem I was experiencing.

  I initially created my Blackberry ID using my mobile device (9000 "BOLD").  Apparently, the program installation but unfinished and recorded properly and that was the root cause of all problems.  When I logged in Blackberry ID of my laptop, I was able to complete the installation in three steps process.  It was to download a plug-in on the Blackberry site, connect the phone to the laptop and then completing the installation program (including seizure of Paypal information, if you wish) on the laptop.

  After completing this process, I could connect the Blackberry ID on my mobile without having to go through the Blackberry App World membership additive and all my downloads have worked without error.

  IMPORTANT: the completion of recording Blackberry ID process must be carried out using Internet Explorer.  I had actually tried to do this a few days ago, but I've been using Google Chrome.  As a result, the global need App Plug In did not download properly on my laptop and I couldn't finish the rest of the installation procedure.

  I hope this helps other people who have faced this problem.

• ReaderCEF - Win10 birthday - CPU hog, wait until the cursor in other applications

  Since then on the anniversary update for win 10 Pro on My Book of Surface with screen seriously scaling, the reader has been a problem. Monitor performance status bar icons show about 50% of each processor in use, and the heat speed fan and screen confirm at least that much. App resource monitor says he uses about 12% CPU, but it uses so it takes more than a minute ResMon to fill all the information at all. The task manager says more than 30%.

  While this is the case, the cursor inside the drive is normal but do scroll down on any other app or Windows itself, and you get a "pulsed" permanently hourglass wait cursor. Other applications will continue to function, although slowly.

  In process Explorer (Sysinternals), there are two processes drive and the three ReaderCEF process. The average CEF process seems to be the problem, although ProcExp says he uses only 3% of CPU. It cannot recover the nets or any other stats detailed for this process, or the Canadian Expeditionary corps below. (I suspect that whatever the causes you will avoid also resource monitor to see all the CPU player is hogging.) Pointing to the name of the process is alternating the message "device does not" next with long command shown in the following screenshot:

  

  Notice how the name of the company disappears with swapping between the full report and the error of path. I guess that the flashes of full report about once per second on ten times for each momentary appearance of the error message. Note also this player instance was called by my EverDesk mail program; Player has the same problems, if it is started on its own.

  All this makes the reader almost unusable! Maybe it's the way of Microsoft to promote their own PDF applications? I tried to do with them, but they lack several features that I need. Please, how can I get the drive working again?

  I have to date inadvertently a license 6 images. I'm hoping to get a credit for 4 of them. As I read on the forum of the community, I believe that I'm not alone.  For an image of license may need a three step process, or something of this nature. I comb on all of your wonderful images I save those who I believe represent the feeling I'm looking for.  After my research, I have delete the ones I like is more and inadvertently license unwanted images. Can find us a solution... I know I'm not the only one having this problem may be that someone has a suggestion that may help I'm open to suggestions. The image only I intentionally a license is # 77107461. Help, please...

  Save you previews in a library and selecting the option delete from there?  Do you remember how the image is licensed by mistake?

  The design team are working to improve the workflow license in order to avoid this kind of problem.

  I have the hierarchy of entities such as:

  -1234-abc-777-a11

  -1234-abc-777-b12

  -1234-abc-777-c15

  and I have to copy the benefit rate which present in 1234-abc - 777-> usd - > real-> 1234-abc-777 children final. I can't hard-code as I haved this type of hierarchy of 30.

  Is it possible to use any function to get 1234-abc-777-a11. I tried to use the function @Match dim crosswise but I receive the error message when running the script.

  Note:-a11 is common in any other hierarchy 30.

  Glenn, I agree that it will create blocks that are not required if you use the DATACOPY approach. But it may be advantageous to have your rate to the level that you are calculating the data (but only for valid data of block combinations)

  The way I approach this kind of requirement is using this three-step process. I have a previous post where I posted a detailed script.

  1. set on RELATIVE("Entity",0), but delete the entities holding rates, in this case use a UDA called RATE_INPUT for example and assign to entities where you enter the rate.

  Then using calc dense 'rate' = #missing to clear the old values from rates against all entities not RATE_INPUT

  2 aggregate rate to the entity above, where the rate is entered. This will mean that the entity kinship is equal to the entity that has RATE_INPUT uda

  3. FIX on RELATIVE("Entity",0) but remove the entities holding rates

  Then using calc dense 'rate' = @PARENTVAL (Entity) to enter the tax rate of the parent.

  The advantage of this method is to push a rate only to entities that already have an existing block. So not more your database or the number of blocks

• Clone VM and change of dvSwitch network

  I am currently trying to create a script to automate the creation of multiple VM environments, but I hit a snag.

  Our current production and server prototypes that I'm cloning in the new environment using dvSwitch networks that do not exist on the server that I am cloning.

  With ESX 4.1, you cannot clone a virtual machine on a server that is not available to this topic well dvSwitch during cloning to the server via vSphere, you can select the option on the last page to customize the virtual hardware and reconfigure the network adapter to use a vSwitch network and clones it successfully.

  Unfortunately when using the New - VM PowerCLI command option - NetworkName is no not part of the same ParameterSet option - VM you can not change the virtual machine network when using this command.

  If I can't change network for cloning then the process will fail because the dvSwitch network is not available.

  I know that I can change the network after that cloning using Set-NetworkAdapter, but it's no use to me if the initial clone fails.

  At this point, it seems that my only option is to clone the server on the local server, change the network and then migrate to the new server, but it is not a feasible option in a script to automate the creation of multiple clients at the same time.

  Are there other options at my disposal?

  It's just a way to do it, but it should give you an idea of the process.

  The virtual machine clone us is called TestVM and we will clone it to a virtual machine called TestVMClone.

  To avoid having to build the device NETWORK card from scratch, I use the NETWORK card of a VM sample that is already connected to the portgroup. This virtual machine is called SampleVM in the script.
