Close captions

I recently sent a video to entrepreneur to get subtitles. Unfortunately, he used the format instead of the 608 708. Given that this project is a DVD and must be a file *. SCC, 708 is not going to work. So what I need to do, it's somehow change the flow of legend in Premiere Pro to 708 to 608. Is it possible to do this? Or do I have to create new legends and spend my time to copy and paste everything in sync at the same time?

I'm sorry to hear the format you received is not just. With Premiere Pro, you can not create of CEA-608 off CEA-708 captions. You can create captions from scratch with the ORGANIZATION, but you will need to copy / paste.

  • CC2015 - this is fixed? -Management of project including SD close Captioned files does not work

    All the world and Adobe.

in reference to a discussion earlier, Re: project management, including close captioned files SD does not, this correction in CC2015?

" Clip of once an element has been imported and identified as a "bearer of legend" , body does not forget that this specific clip, legend preference checked or not. ' - 29 January 2015 10:05

How is it that PP maintains the captioning information, even if more Adobe Cloud was striped a system and then reinstalled fresh? -not the OS, just all the Adobe products.

We have a HUGE problem where a producer/editor brought about 1 TB of SD video (subtitled TV unionized) and is now unable to do anything with any of these files, because it cannot project manage its promotions up to a reasonable size for further finishing because some how PP recalls a life that these files have subtitles.

Once this system has wiped free of Adobe and reinstalled FRESH, the preference has been changed to NOT IMPORT legends. However, when we bring in a file which was imported earlier (before deletion), see PP of captioning.

Where this information on the Mac? There must be place somewhere in the bowels of the BONE that is home to the UUID for every file... What's so we can blow this kind of thing and move on?

Of course knowing that this has been fixed in CC2015 will be comforting and should accelerate the upgrade to 2015.

If it was not treated, I guess we stay Final Cut for a little longer.

(the name change solution is not a viable option at this time because of an entire Department that also uses these same clips for various projects)

    Thank you!

I'm sorry that you're having trouble getting the legend carrying files to not be recognized by the app. Here are two solutions:

    RENAME THE FILE

One quick thing you can do is to rename the file that carries the legends, and with recognition of legend turned off, then no subtitle will be analyzed in the file renamed when importing

    LAUNCH THE MEDIA CACHE FILE
I know that another solution is to launch the media cache file.  It is located on the default VICTORY in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache files on MAC by is located by default in the Users\\Libraray\Application Support\Adobe\ Common\ Media Cache files directory... There should be a .prmdc file associated with the project, close the project, .prmdc delete associated with the project. This will also eliminate recognition of the caption, if the pref is turns off

Let me know how it goes!

  • Close captioning/app in CC software

Is there any part of CC apps that offer close captioning features? I am hard of hearing and really need help to understand what is being taught.  Someone once told me they thought one of the Adobe app/software can close videos of legend. I use LR and PS and I have tutorial videos for both that I really want to be able to use to help me learn.

I'm not really sure what you're looking for. Captioning would mean that the subtitles are incorporated or are available as sources external text and are rendered during playback in the video player. There is no magic software which can add such things for a video if it has not been there. There are a number of these tools like automatic subtitles own YouTube and in Premiere Pro once made an extraction of crude dialogue once (before it has been pulped), but otherwise I am afraid you will have to do. Like most come only from Adobe Tutorials in English, much to the annoyance of users of foreign language, they come without subtitles, at least as far as I know. Perhaps it would be more effective to search text-based tutorials and then ask specific questions that you don't understand on the respective forums, possibly including the PS of this forum section.

  • Project management, including files SD Captioned close does not work

I discovered that I am unable to project manage (media management), subtitled a timeline that contains items that have been close.

    (1) for loading a file of close captioning in the source window, there is a second video track that appears in the timeline panel.

The video of the second video track is identical to the video in the first track, the only difference being the top rail holds the captioning.

Deleting of this track (track 2 video) removes the captioning.

    SDCaptioned_V1V2_Screen Shot 2015-01-29 at 10.40.41 AM.png

    (2) when I try to project manage a timeline that contains HD (XDCAM HD 422 50 MB) and SD (ProRes 422), sometimes the project well will be reduce the HD images to just the clips used, but the SD card will not.

The size of the project as a result of the winds that can reach the size of the captioned SD sources, all SD combined sources.

(screenshot of full promo - all clips)

(full promo shot - No. HD (XDCAM 422 50 MB) screen clips)

    TestTimeline_NoHD.png

    (3) remove items one by one with only the graphics being the constant, the project never reduced to a manageable size.

For example, the timeline has a task that is: 30. In this: 30 there is a SD subtitled clip which is 01:12, as well as some graphics.

When project manage this chronology, the project shrinks to 17.7 GB (846 MB are GFX).

The size of the source of the SD subtitled clip is 18,14 GB.

(promo with 1 single file close SD captioned, more GFX)

    TestTimeline_DanielBoone_singleClip_Screen Shot 2015-01-29 at 9.49.19 AM.png

(4): 30 spot containing GFX (846 MB) and a single HD (XDCAM 422 50 MB) clip is going to handle the low project correctly.

    HD-WAL_XDCAM422_Screen Shot 2015-01-29 at 9.55.29 AM.png

(5): 30 spot containing GFX (846 MB) and one unique: 11 HD (XDCAM 422 50 MB) and a clip unique captioned: 03 SD (ProRes 422) clip will NOT manage low project correctly.

In this case, the project shrinks to 16.2 GB, the file source SD captioned 11,56 GB that is, and the difference of 4.64 GB is still too much for: video 14 MB and 846 of GFX.

We have noticed with CC v7.2. We thought for sure it would be fixed by CC 2014.2.

The inability to properly and effectively project manage (media management) put our FCP pending switch in the foreseeable future.

Adequate project management is essential to our workflow.

    Thanks for your quick response!

#1 works. Once I unchecked "include legends on import" the problem on

recently imported clips has been resolved.

However, already imported clips that I had removed from the project,

Stop the PP, has reopened the same project and imported back these (drug clips

    them from the finder)

These clips kept their captioning regardless of the change of preference.

I went to preferences, media, own Cache of database and no.

    change.

I would say that there is still a bug with 2014.2 of PP and its ability to fully

work with files already captioned SD files.

I don't know if I have HD captioned files to try. HD captioning work

differently from SD (SD captioning done part of the HD video signal

    captioning is in the meta-data).

good thing #1 worked... #2 would have been almost impossible due to the file

    sizes of used items.

  • Published video overview will not play with active captioning

    Hello Adobe community!

I am having some problems with the activation of the subtitles.  Before recently upgraded to Captivate 8, I created my 7 Captivate training videos. I activated CC through the Publisher of skin for all videos and had no problem with reading.

Last week, I upgraded to 8 Captivate.  Yesterday, I have converted one of my videos of Captivate 7 to 8 Captivate.  I made some changes by adding a table of contents, edited one of the slides and double-checked all my settings of CC next Dr. Pooja Jaisingh captioning video.  I posted the video (like SWF) to test the reading, and once again everything worked well.  I made a slide more change then re-released the video.  When I went to play the video, bar of playback controls have been 'broken' and everything crushed at the top left of the screen (see screenshot).

After making several captivate restarts and computer restarted I narrowed the issue down to captioning.  If I uncheck close captioning in the skin, the preview of the video and video editor published play fine.  As soon as I "check" captioning still once, the playback bar is broken.

I am at a loss and have no idea how fix the video.  I need the captioning option closed in the video.  If anyone has any suggestions or ideas of how to fix it please let me know.

    Thank you in advance!

    Captivate Error.PNG

    Captioning should not do that.

I suggest that you remove the skin of your project and select a different skin from Captivate 8 to see if the problem goes away then.  It is possible, there are a few conflicts with the skin, applied initially in the earlier version of Captivate.

  • Newbie question-hide/show content of layers when you click on the button

HI guys, I have very limited knowledge of Flash and Action script 2, but I would like to solve this problem.

I have an animation that shows the items highlighted in a diagram. As the elements are highlighted, the audio will play (to explain the animation). because we create for people with disabilities as possible, we have also created captions with text to audio. Thus, in separate layers, we created bubbles and text that is synchronized with the actions of animation on the screen. It is also synchronized with the audio.  We want to have a button (button close captioning) when users embed it, they see the text captions and if they push it again, they do not see the text captions.

    my questions are

    (1) what is the best way to create the effect I'm looking for?

    (2) will what order actionscript take for the button actions?

    Thank you

That's the problem.  When click you on your button the first time, you have set the onRelease Manager.  then he works with the following clicks.

to remedy this, use the code exactly as I gave it BUT attach it to the frame of the timeline that contains your key for the button itself.
