Thanks in advance...!

Most of them are around clustering. I suggest you read the section on clusters in the documentation, it will explain most of these

http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11035_01/WLS100/cluster/index.html

For example

####
Core of LS > <1348674599925>
#### <[ACTIVE] executethread:="" '16'="" for="">
' e: ' (self-adjusting) weblogic.kernel.Default ' > > <1348674600471>
Cluster 05634154558S:10.110.7.115:[8011,8011,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1]:server:server5a: view decscluster. >

is to do with communication between servers in a cluster, using multicast, and how the server loses (do not receive does not or does not receive do not answer for) multicast broadcast cluster messages.

#### <[ACTIVE] executethread:="" '7'="" for="">
'(self-adjusting) weblogic.kernel.Default' > > <1349292433387>
t for the 8042261441738434683 object. >

This is to do with replication of session between servers.

#### <[ACTIVE] executethread:="" '6'="" for="">
' e: ' (self-adjusting) weblogic.kernel.Default ' > > <1349322668940>
renew its lease for 698 seconds. The server may restart or migrated. >

It's location and how the server is not contact the main Manager server to keep its lease.

#### <[ACTIVE] executethread:="" '6'="" for="">
'(self-adjusting) weblogic.kernel.Default' > > <1349322668949>
wire of Ewing, the server has renewed successfully its lease. Is no longer a danger to be migrated or restarted. >

What is - it, only here the rental agreement is made.

#### <[STANDBY] executethread:="" '21'="" for="">
'(self-adjusting) weblogic.kernel.Default' > > <1349322020161>
the executive management of this server. > **

This means that the server can none reach the administration server, probably because it is rebooted.

    Hi vSphere community.

  • bug with the news of the spectrum

    Hello

    I have a problem with the FRF vi, which calculates the frequency response. The cluster 'info of the spectrum', the channel name is not changed when the FRF vi is looped. It seems that this problem is when the vi Polymorph selection is set to "1 stimulus, 1 reply.

    The attached vi shows my problem for a better understanding of the "bug".

    The channelname (and perhaps other properties of the spectrum) are not changed. I want to store the result of the FRF vi to a TDMS with polymorphic VI 'Write in TDMS' file available in the Toolbox for sound & Vibration. The Spectra must be registered with all of the properties and the channelname should change...

    Someone has an idea to fix this? Maybe I do not use the bandwidth as it should be, but it seems that there is a bug in the vi.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

    I found what was wrong in my code.

    In order to have the good 'spectrum info', I put the entry "reboot on average" to true on the frequency response of vi.

  • Confused on how to get CpuTotalMHz for a VMHost (not a virtual machine)

    I'm new to PowerCLI and attempted several days a list of Clusters, associated with VMHosts in the cluster, with details on each VMHost, but I can't get all the details.  I'm looking for CPU info at VMHost level, not at the level of VMGuest.  the script it returns white instead of the data.

    Can someone point me in the right direction here?

    For example, when I run the script below, the last two fields (CpuTotalMhz and NumCpu) are empty!

    Cluster.Name and VMHost.Name are populated correctly.

    When I look at the Cmdlet PowerCLI reference (vSphere 5.5) for VMHost it shows a bunch of properties, but most of them seem inaccessible.

    No error message, just empty fields.

    {foreach ($Cluster Get-cluster)
    Get-VMHost-location $cluster | %{
    $info = "" | Select the Cluster, VMhost, CpuTotalMhz, NumCpu
    $info. Cluster = $cluster. Name
    $info. VMHost = $_. Name
    $info. CpuTotalMhz = $_. CpuTotalMhz
    $info. NumCpu = $_. NumCpu
    $report += $info
    }
    }

    Your script works for me (PowerCLI 5.5 and 6.0 R2 hosts)...

    I tried to dig at the command line on the object generated by the Get - views, but can not find where VMHost information at the level of the CPU, RAM, etc. are available.

    You were close, you can see $vmhost.hardware.Memorysize to the size in bytes. CPU info is $vmhost.hardware.CPUInfo, where you will find socket and core count, threads and speed in Hz

    Do I need to worry? I don't think I'll be able to proceed with the upgrade with these inaccessible objects. I can see that there is a command to purge vswap files but I don't think this is related.

    If anyone can help?

    Just display the resolution to my problem that I've finally sorted it all last week. No point in going to detail here, but I list exactly deliver and fix it in a blog that can be read here.

    In short, we must work with GSS to remove objects manually from the affected our cluster node.

    Thank you all for the help involved!

  • VCenter downwards and no backups

    Hello, I could be walking in an environment where the Vcenter server is down and there may be no backups. Ive been told there are problems with the certificates and the database.  Now, I don't know the details right now, but it's wondering what I have to do if I need to put in place a new Vcenter server and there is no backup of database and certificates are bad?

    I don't know some info.  There are about 6 hosts running ESXi 5.1.  There are on the run from 30 VM.  There is a HA cluster and Vmotion is configured.  not sure whether the DRS.

    If I were to set up a new server Vcenter with new SS and the new database.  Can I just add the ESXi hosts on the new Vcenter server without being troubled for the virtual machine?

    IM basically worried configs Switch network, storage configs and lose this info.  Some virtual machines may need to connect to one network rather than another.  This information would get lost and my VM would lose network connectivity if I just added the new Vcenter Server?  Or ESXi hosts with all this info it would be fine and come?

    I don't like on Performance data or the user, or permissions, roles which can all be setup again.

    Reset the HA cluster should not be a big problem as im assuming that the Cluster info would no more even if the hosts have this info?

    I hope it made sense

    Thank you

    Hello

    You must be totally fine with a few re-estabilishing a new vCenter from scratch and connecting hosts ESXi back once again and then just by creating a cluster and placing it there as well as the good configuration for DTS/DRS/VCA, etc.. This will not affect running Virtual Machines somehow - but just to be safe, I recommend to do this out of hours

    The only thing you will lose is:

    • Resource pools
    • Annotations of VM
    • Custom folder organization

    The rest is retained within the hypervisor itself - if the virtual machines have been on standard vSwitch, you're good. If they were on distributed vSwitch, you want to export the configuration of a current ESXi host, then apply together via Exim vCenter again. Some useful links about that: VMware KB: export/import/restore Distributed Switch configs using vSphere client Web and: Distributed vSwitches and vCenter fails, that & #039; s the deal?

  • How to run the script with parameters such as alarm action .ps1

    Hello

    I know not how to configure alarms, I know that I can point to monitor cluster for changes (via the GUI), but... I have different groups and I would like to set an alarm by vCenter which monitors cluster for changes. Let's call it "RefreshCapacityInfoOnExternalDB".

    So, lets just say. I would like to run my script whenever a virtual computer is added, Reconfigured or ESX host are removed, added in a Cluster. The alarm would launch the .ps1 script written in turn the ability to update external db cluster info.

    Shortly said: ability to cluster values are changed

    What I need is this: run the script-> CapacityInfoRefresher.ps1 < Cluster_name_where_ReconfigEventsTookPlace >

    I guess that, first I need an environment variable (if it exists) that can be used as a parameter for the < Cluster_name_where_ReconfigEventsTookPlace > placeholder script. Right?

    Chapter 16 of the book of LucD & Friends "PowerCli reference" mentions some environment vars but I'm stuck. Anyone using these options?

    THX

    A.S.

    You can set your alarm on the node above in your vCenter tree, this way it will be active for all collections in the vCenter.

    These alarm environment variables are automatically available for your alarm script when it is triggered.

    These environment variables, you will be able to determine to which cluster the alarm was pulled.

    So I don't think that you need to pass this information as a parameter to the script.

    Perrhaps you could share what exactly alarm you want to set and what looks like the script which should trigger alarm.

    And Yes, I use these environment variables in scripts of alarm

    Hello

    I saw in our environment that in certain circumstances, coherence relies on as a full gc. Why do we do this? Is it possible to avoid it?

    Hi Mikel,

    Consistency has a few places where we make explicit calls to System.GC() to take into account the known JVM bugs which would result in a memory leak or resource if a GC is not made. One highlight is called when we drop a socket, which should be an extremely rare event. You can optionally ask the JVM to ignore the explicit requests of GC by adding - XX:-DisableExplicitGC at the command line.

    Thank you

    It is a problem in 10g. You must manually call the VIPCA utility and have the address set by you.

    It is very common that people just click OK without going through the operating system and run the VIPCA config. Deputy, so at the point where the YES program ends VIP addresses still aren't reported, causing this problem appears.

  • HA cluster summary real info?

    Dear guys,

    I have 3 hosts the same size 196GB RAM and 24 CPU

    I HA cluster AC 25% percentage

    My hosts are very memory used 3 of them have at least 150 GB of RAM used.

    Check the values HA I have this:

    memory current failover capacity 96%

    Current switching capacity 30% cpu

    configured with failover capability 25% CPU

    configured with failover capability 25% CPU

    Well, I have a few concerns about the 96% = > how can this be? configured as it means I have 96-25 = 71% of the resources available to power VMS on... sounds weird, as I all hosts using more than 50% of RAM.

    I understood the values?

    Any help is appreciated,

    I wrote a series of articles on admission control:

    http://www.yellow-bricks.com/?s=admission%20control%20reservation

    In short, admission control takes reservations of memory and the memory overhead per virtual machine into account. It does this because it is what is needed to be available for a virtual machine to the market. Admission control is not a substitute for the management of resources. • What is the best way to convert an array of bytes or string cluster

    I am writing a program that sends UDP packets and I defined the data I want to send via large groups (with numbers of u8, u16/u32, u16/u8/u32 tables and nested groups). Just before sending the data, I need to convert groups or chains of arrays of bytes. The flatten the string function is almost perfect for this. However, it is addition of lengths in the tables and strings that makes this unusable method, because as far as I can tell.

    As I have many of these groups, I would rather not hard code the unbundle names and conversion/cast of strings or arrays of bytes for each of them.

    Y at - it a function, or a tool that I'm on?

    Thank you!

    mkirzon wrote:

    The program I'm developing is to communicate and to poll an external device that includes a Protocol well documented. The messages that I built in clusters contain components accurate that expected from the other device. So, if my program adds any additional info (such as this array/string lengths), monitor the device external won't recognize messages and returns an error.

    Unfortunately, you have to ungroup your cluster and collect the individual channels to concatinate.

  • receive a cluster from a dll function

    Hello

    I have a function in a DLL, which returns a C structure.  I want to know how can I get a cluster of a COLD LAKE?

    Info struct:

    struct {} typedata

    int a;

    int b;

    const char * c;

    int d;

    int e;

    } data;

    function call:

    const typedata * hostinfo (int param);

    There are a lot of posts on this forum about this problem. Answered by me or Nathan. Try to search and find them.

    Basically, it is possible, but requires you to play a little compiler C can be a mesmerizing experience, if you don't know C AND how to work a C compiler.

    You will need to configure the value of return as an integer pointer size and then copy its contents into a compatible structure of LabVIEW by using a call to MoveBlock (a very good search for this problem term) or the GetValueByPointer node which Nathan often recommend (and are another good search term for that).

  • Migration of data from records on Win2K8 cluster to a new SAN SAN

    I hope that someone here might have a clear answer to my question. We are currently working on a project to migrate all the data of a former SAN that stores our info Win2K8 Cluster (Quorum, MSDTC and SQL DBs) to a new SAN. I know that databases SQL, the plan is to simply detach the DBs with in SQL, stop SQL services, move the DBs from the old drive to the new location and then reconnect, we intend to reuse the drive letter, so that there will be real problems.

    What I'm having a hard time trying to figure out, is how to move successfully the readers of the page Web MSDTC and Quorum, would I simply create a new set and removing the current Quorum and MSDTC leads or is there a way to move the data on the page Web MSDTC and the Quorum of the current location reuse the old drive letters and stored it on the new San without having to change any configuration or break the cluster.

    All clearification would be much help.
