CMD disabled, disabled Regedit and gpedit.msc disabled/access denied to my school PC

Hey, I tried to enable CMD to the PC at school, then I looked at how to do it.
Almost al the routes are blocked by admin.

Regedit has been blocked by the administrator.
gpedit.msc denies access.
Virtually all the batch files do not work...

Does anyone know how to turn on these things?

I suspect that the administrator does not want you mucking in them.  Your best bet is to ask

  • Impossible to update of Windows Media Player and Microsoft Security Essentials and the error is "access denied error 80070005."

Apparently an involuntary change of administrative privileges or permissions (Windows XP Pro, SP3) keeps me updated Media Player version 9 to 11 v. and updated virus Security Essentials definitions.
For Media Player, wmsetup.log reports access denied error 80070005 and UpdSpAPI.log reports access denied for the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Settings\MP3Encoding\LowRate registry key. In regedt32, I'm blocked from display HKLM\...\MediaPlayer\Settings and below, and "are allowed to view the current permission settings, but... can make a change." Except that I can't. I can enter the change but get «...» Access is denied"trying to apply them. So this is the first problem that I need help.
But of course it's more than a registry key and the subkeys, because MSE too is affected and will download but not install virus definitions. WindowsUpdate.log reports: failed to install with error 80070643.
My user account (it's the only one!) is part of the Administrators group and all that I tried to verify administrative permissions is positive. This is a new issue. No virus/malware, according to MSE, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, MalWarebytes Anti-Malware.

  • I forgot my windows XP administrator password and the returned solutions "access denied."

I tried all of the following without success.

Since your account invited > start > run Type "cmd".

    Once command prompt opens type

NET user comments / add an administrator

    Press enter

It works on computers pretty much all that I tried, it elevates the guest account to Administrator status, where you are free to edit and change things, that you must change.

    OR

Since your account invited > start > run Type "cmd".

    Once command prompt opens type

NET user administrator (or the name of your administrator account) *.

    Press enter

You will now be able to enter a password for this account. Confirm the password and Voila! You should now be able to log on to your account with the password that you set.

    OR

System startup and when you see the home screen, press ctrl + alt + delete twice and it'll show a connection box. Now type administrator username and leave empty Pword. Now, press Enter and you should be able to open a session.

Now you can reset your password from the control panel and user accounts.

    OR

Enter SafeMode to restart the computer and press f8 repeatedly until a screen somes up which gives you a few options, use the arrow keys to the forts of the 'start windows in safe mode' when you start windows in safe mode, you will see a new account on the login screen, titled administrator , click on it, there is no password (unless you have changed it).

  • How to disable access to the cd player while windows is locked.

    Hello

Does anyone know it's possible to disable access to the cd/dvd drive while windows is locked?

That is, I would like to press Ctrl + alt + delete to lock my pc, then while I'm away, someone presses the eject button on my cd player and it will not eject.

I have looked in device, properties of D: drive management, security settings, etc., but have been unable to find such a control to this day.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    J

    Hi JC_226,

This isn't the Windows feature. Can not disable access to the cd player while windows is locked. However, there is an option to disable the CD/DVD device. To do this, you can follow these steps:
    a. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc, and then click ok.
    b. in the list of objects, expand CD/DVD players.
    c. right-click on the sub element and click on disable.
    d. follow the instructions in the wizard to disable the device.

Important: If you disable a device that is required to start the system, such as your floppy drive or CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive, these devices will not work, and your system might not start.

  • Disable access working group

I want to disable access to the computers of the Working Group, i.e. prevent some users from accessing any thing shared on the network. User type usually computer name in run or any window of the Explorer to access shared data. I want that it should be disabled while a user types IP or name of the computer to access.
Is it possible to prevent certain users and computers to access whats shared on the network?
I use Windows XP on all systems and all computers are connected to the "working group".

Although I have not tried, you can try to remove the 'Client for Microsoft Networks' machines you want to access network shares.

Go to the network, control panel right click on your network connection, and then select "Properties".

then select "Client for Microsoft networks" in the login window and uncheck it or click on "Uninstall".

This should remove the access to files via file sharing on other machines from this computer.  It also removes access to the printer if you print to a printer attached to another computer via a USB cable.  (It should not affect printing to a TCP/IP connected printer).  Computers should still be able to use Internet Explorer or access the internet.

  • Disable access via RDP client?

    Hi guys,.

I'm all new to vmware view. Have a good undertanding of vsphere and have now been asked to do a trial of opinion.

I'll probably ask a lot of questions, probably the most stupid in this forum.

I have a very operational core facility and was able to access my VD through the client on several different platforms.
My first question is whether it is actually possible to prevent someone to access the DV via a RDP client and only allow access through VMware View Client?
Now I can connect through the client view, determine the host name and access via RDP disconnecting as well display the session.

    See you soon

How about disabling RDP of the OS and that the only available connection connection will be PCOIP - which means he would only come from the customer to view.
