When I visit CNETTV (http://cnettv.cnet.com/six-essential-free-apps-your-new-pc/9742-1_53-50097586.html) to view/play the video, I get an answer back "to play this video, you must activate Javascript and the latest version of Flash installed. Install Flash now. I can play the video very well with IE8. I don't know if it's just with CNETTV that this problem exists, but it seems that this might be the case. Any ideas/suggestions? Thank you.

Media Player cannot play, need to video codec not installed.  What codec?  Where do I get it? How to install it?

    Hello

The video codec that is required to decode and display the video can not be installed on your computer.

Today, there are hundreds of audio and video codecs in use. Some were created by Microsoft, but the vast majority of codecs have been created by other companies, organizations or individuals. By default, the Windows operating system and the player includes a number of the most popular codecs, such as MP3, Windows Media Audio and Windows Media Video.

    Method 1.
How to determine what codec is installed and how to install it automatically?
    a. to determine what codec was used with a specific file, play the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties.
    b. on the file tab, look at the sections of video codec and Audio codec.
Download and install the Codecs by going to the PLAYER tab and check.
    c. connect you to the Internet and Download Codecs automatically.
For more information about codecs, see the articles below:
    Codecs: Frequently asked questions
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/codecs-frequently-asked-questions

    Method 2.
If you know the name of the codec or its ID (called a id FourCC for video codecs or a WaveFormat identifier for audio codecs), try the search on the Internet. Often, you can go to the codec manufacturer's Web site to download the latest version of a codec.

  • Windows Media Player cannot play back the video DVD.

Windows Media Player cannot play back the video DVD. You may need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try to lower your screen resolution and color quality settings.

Original title: Windows Media Player cannot play back the video DVD. You may need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try to lower your screen resolution and color quality settings.

I was troubleshooting video playback issues throughout the morning after the reconstruction of a machine with a fresh install of W7 Ultimate, shot a few questions there.

The first and foremost reason I couldn't play THE VIDEOS was due to the ATI Rage video card that was in the machine, proved that this card was not compatible for playback of DVD video on W7.  No problem with the system of video files (.avi, .mpg, .mp4, etc.), only reading DVD.  Disabling this card and media player running with a standard VGA device allowed me to play regular DVD movies very well.

Another question, I stumbled on was with burned copies of the DVD, it turned out that my system DVD players, (2, one is a HP630E and the other is a typical ATAPI DVD DD internal 8 x 16), have a problem with playing movies engraved on DVD - RW discs.  Playing discs DVD-R worked well on this system.

So in your case I try to disable the video device and let the system first use a VGA Standard, if your video plays well then check with the making of video for a updated driver device, saying "you have made any changes" does not mean that the system did not have a bad patch somewhere...

  • Flash player is installed, but cannot get a flash video to play

I use a 64-bit version of vista and I can not get any flash video to play.  It shows that I have flash player installed, but it does not work.  When I click on the adobe link, which fills the video area it says that flash is not supported for 64-bit system.  I did something to my computer yesterday and managed to get the video to play, but he returned to does not after that I disconnected.  Help, please

    Hi Breeyear54,

Welcome to the responses of Microsoft Windows Vista forums.

Adobe has not yet a version of Flash for Vista 64-bit.

    It's the Adobe Web site:

Adobe Flash Player not is not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser. However, you can run Flash Player in a 32-bit browser running on a 64-bit operating system.

    Reason

Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64 bit as part of our ongoing commitment to cross-platform Flash Player compatibility. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in a future version of Flash Player, Flash Player 10 now.

    Solution

To use Flash Player to view Flash content on a 64-bit system, you must run a 32-bit browser. To run the browser 32-bit to 64-bit machine follow these steps.

    -Click Start > computer > C: drive > Program Files (x 86) > Internet Explorer > iexplore.exe

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Cannot play MPEG-4 video in Windows Media Player or Media Center from my Flip Video Camcorder

I use Win 7 with Windows Media Player 12 and when I try to play a Flip Video camcorder, which is an MPEG-4 format, I get the error "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem while playing the file."

I then help the option to select Web and it takes me a Microsoft page that describes the C00D11B1 error code.  Who has no sense to me because it speaks to my sound card and I can't read thie videos no problem via the Flip Video software supplied with the camcorder.

I was under the impression that WMP 12 taken supported MPEG-4.  Also get the Error tyring to play videos through Media Center.   Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I use Win 7 7600 version 6.1

I guess that the Flip Video software used a codec that is not Media Player. I was looking at the setting for the camera to see if it will save in another format.

It works, I should have read the instructions in the application. I should have connected to my pc and copy the videos to my phone using the recommended to convert and copy. Can now play my videos on my phone, but it would be easier if this conversion could be made directly from oneDrive.
