Code 39 - video card driver. already tried to reinstall the drivers several times.

Suddenly, I lived this issue one day after having had a normal life with a new video card.  It was quite well until you restart the next day, where he then reports in Manager device which:

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

I am completely puzzled, as I have:

-If she had problems with drivers-free work provided by the CD the initial day of the installation,
-A tried several installations of:
(a) CD drivers provided by.
(b) latest driver from nVidia.
(c) later twist driver Xtreme-G.
(d) to allow Windows Update to install the drivers.
-Also attempted to return to the old video card and using [compatible] drivers for it, but it returned code 39; This video card, I had no such problems with in the past.

The first noticeable symptom has been toggled off Aero and the resolution to 640.  I am unable to run several games/etc. as the video card is automatically disabled "because he has a problem.  My graphics card is an ASUS 240 512 DDR5 ENGT, and the old one is eVGA 9400 GT; my OS is Windows 7 x 64.   The first time using the map with this computer, it was compared with the time 3D games Vantage / real and proved to be stable and functional order.

I can't do a restore with the drivers, or have no system restore points.  Everything is fine and I can still watch videos (assuming that the CPU is handling); I can also run games like Starcraft, which I suppose doesn't require DirectX or anything that requires a dedicated card.

I tried the sweeper driver as well as the General uninstaller, and he still refuses to acknowledge the drivers - this was done after a full withdrawal of all components of nVidia ("NVIDIA Drivers", PhysX and NVIDIA Control Panel); However, I saw again the nVidia control panel in the Panel of the menu start (no uninstall programs and features). my steps were:

(1) Uninstall using programs uninstall,
(2) secure using mode driver sweeper,
3) reset, once again in SafeMode to aid driver sweeper,
(4) restart, install the drivers.

Of this, I was successfully able to disable the generic automatic installation of drivers window; later, I was able to install the video drivers.  However it still does not.  The Control Panel also continues to say, "Now you do not use a screen attached to a NVIDIA GPU", and Device Manager reports code 39.

I'm running out of ideas, so I'm looking for outside help for this problem - I appreciate any information you may be able to provide.

Check the programs and features (and memory), I can say that I have nothing else that the drivers installed for the new video card.

I reinstalled the drivers for the 9400GT when I was testing to see if the replaced card would fail, and he gave the code 39.

Thanks for your comments.

EDIT: The problem seems to be fixed after a reinstall of Windows.  I give my thanks to both of you for the effort.

I have a folder of files in local folders that keeps reappearing after that I erase it. I tried to fix the folder several times. Any suggestions?

This is the name of a folder? Who will be in a file name in your file system. Given his situation, is it possible or likely that the total path length exceeds the limit of the operating system?

    For example: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/file-names-extensions-faq#1TC=windows-7

This is not to talk about any other limit which may be inherent in the way that Thunderbird uses names of files internally.

In your position, I explore the Thunderbird profile and check paths, as they appear in the file manager. You should be able to remove all folders that are unwanted here also.

  • Video card: driver Windows 10 required for the video card Part No.: 5188-4289

    Hello

My computer which is built from individual components suddenly upgraded to windows 10 by himself. Now the screen is not good and I tried to change the settings but, the display is even worse. The graphics card that loaded is Microsoft base display adapter. I don't know the name of the video card in my computer, but it has a sticker that says "HP part No.: 5188-4289. Anyone know the name of the video card and if there is a driver 64 bit Windows 10 for him.

Thank you two for your attempts to fix my problem. Unfortunately, the driver makes no difference, so I will need to replace the video card.

I was completely happy with the way my PC has been implemented with Win7. I am not happy with the problems that caused the upgrade to win10. In addition we have all lost so much time, not to mention the expense.

  • Pavilion HPE h8-1330z CTO: video card dying fan, tried to replace the card, the computer does not start

This Pavilion comes preinstalled with a nVidia GeForce GT 630 graphics card. The fan on the card goes bad - the card smells "burny" when I run, the fan works really hard and the computer crashes while playing graphics-heavy games.

I tried replacing a PNY Verto GeForce GT 730 2048 MB DDR3 card. But now, with the Verto installed, my flag starts, it crashes just on the HP splash screen. I can not start safe mode nor can I access the BIOS settings.

Care of the Verto seemed to think it would work in my Pavilion - PCIe 2.0, at least 300W PSU. I searched online for help but can't find a solution for my problem.

    Any tips?

I checked the support page for my Pavlillion and I noticed a updated driver for my computer's BIOS. I installed and it seems to have solved the problem.

I had to reinstall Windows, then reinstall the drivers.  Fortunately, I had saved drivers in the system with the magic of the pilot, it was simple to just restore. However, when I try to start a Windows game, I get this error message:

Hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by your video card driver, which could slow down the performance of the game. Make sure that you install the latest video card driver and that hardware acceleration is turned on.

I checked, and hardware acceleration is enabled, which leaves wondering what the problem is. In Device Manager, by looking at the audio, video and game controllers, I see only an audio driver. I came to HP site, looking for the right video driver, but I don't know what to download.  My computer does not have a separate graphics card (more pity). It is integrated into the motherboard.

  • Hardware acceleration is not enabled on my video card driver when playing Freecell

    Original title: "Hardware Acceleration"

    Ladies and gentlemen,

I just clean installed Win 7 to replace Vista on my laptop Dell Inspiron 1720 (bought in 2008), and it went smoothly.

    Hello

As the indicated error hardware acceleration must be supported by the video card
and the drivers used. Check with Dell for the updated drivers, as well as the manufacturer of the device for

IF your graphics (video device) and driver both allow hardware acceleration.

    1. choose Start > Control Panel.
    2. double-click on customization, and then select display settings.
    3. click on advanced settings.
    4. click on change settings on the Troubleshooting tab.
    5. move the cursor to Enable hardware acceleration
    6. click on apply and then click OK to accept the new setting and close the dialog box.
    7. click OK to close the display properties dialog box.
    8 restart Windows.

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (updated video driver manually.)

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then

    Hello

Thanks for asking! If I understand, you need a video card for support driver reacquire it required Open GL. I suggest you follow the troubleshooting steps to check if this may help.

What is the brand and model of graphics card?

All graphics cards support OpenGL. However, not all cards are supported the same version of OpenGL. Some older cards have drivers only to provide support for some features of OpenGL.
OpenGL is already provided with the common drivers for graphics cards. The standard will not be managed, however, on some older graphics cards.

You can check the manufacturer's Web site.

Just reply with the results. I'd be happy to help you more

    Hello

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: make sure the game is compatible with your computer.

Method 2: update the video card driver and check if that helps.

Update a hardware driver that is not working properly: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work properly

If both methods fail, you will then need to get a new video card.
