Cold temperatures

I want to record a timelapse of a sunset, but the window reflects light so I want to do it on the balcony. The problem is it is - 3 c outside and I would like to know if it will damage my phone or not. I'll have to capture for about an hour.

For optimal performance, the product must not be used at temperatures below - 10 ° C (+ 14 ° F) or above + 45 ° C(+113°F).

Battery died on my iPhone 6 cold weather. Phone is about 15 months and died of battery in good condition 50% to 30% down to nothing and automatic switch off. THE normal time the battery is still very good and doesn't show signs of weakening on any normal day. But if it is cold outside, the phone will dye in minutes if used outdoors. I first noticed it when we went skiing about - 5 c (20 - 25F) and this is really bad. But now he has started to do it when he is around + 5 c (41F) stop the phone battery by 30%. When I plug it in, it immediately return comes on the phone and shows 25 or 35% remaining...

Anyone? Design problem? Application to kill? Running iOS 9.3, but he was already doing it on iOS 9.2... Thank you

Cold temperatures harm batteries. I don't know what are the exact specifications for the temperature range of 6s and I leave it to you to find some online.  It wouldn't surprise me if he couldn't take the temperature in the range you mention.  You could take the phone to an Apple authorized service for evaluating provider where you got a defective battery.  At the same time keep the phone in a pocket inside.

  • Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 - delay issue - help

    Hello

I have a problem with my Lenovi Ideapad Z580. Below you can see the hardware specifications.

My problem is that this laptop is trolling (freezing) whenever I run movies, listen to music, youtube, basically while doing anything.

It happens randomly, lasts only for a few moments (like a sound of frying). I do not have to restart the computer, but it's very annoying and concerning, in particular because that machine is only a few months old and I would say, very powerful.

Just to give you some information regarding what I tried so far:

-J' checked the processes in the task each time that takes place behind Manager > I have not noticed any problem. I mean, use of CPU, disk use etc. are all aged 30-40-50% (if not less)

-Check if the laptop is overheating - 100% not the case, laptop is cold temperature. I had a similar problem on my old Acer that was overheating, so I would like to know if this is the problem

-J' ran virus scan-let me say that this computer came installed with security McAffee, I turned off and installed Avast (free), I read that McAffee can cause the problem of wireless connection (that I had also...)

    -Updated Nvidia card drivers

Any help, advice would be appreciated, I'm getting more and more concerned about this issue.

    Hello

I'm still not completely sure, but it seems that my problem can be solved. I keep will monitor the situation and meet again in the coming days.

I read everything I found on this topic (late) and found some additional advice on what could be done and I tried all the:

-Downloaded video drivers (Nvidia and Intel) support from Lenovo (the last time I think that I've updated only Nvidia)

-Plan of energy change / mode, from balanced to High Performance

-Option used to remove dust from the fan (fron Lenovo Energy Management)

    -Computer reloaded

After the steps above, I looked at a few hours of videos and I have not experienced any slow response, I just hope that it will stick.

As I said, I will come back in a few days with your comments.

  • control thermocouples

Hey, I have a strange problem and I hope someone can help. I have been using a program for about 6 months now that basically keeps a cold temperature next to a heat sink and maintains a warm temperature on the other side.  Then I 25 hung in the meantime thermocouples to measure temperatures I can do the analysis of the material in the environment.  My problem is that all of a sudden the readings of the thermocouples were out of control and unpredictable.  I add me automation program so it could run several tests at the same time and in the process developed by this problem.  The weird part is that the problem is also past in the old version of the program now too, and that has worked perfectly for the last 6 months.  I have 25 hung thermocouples and temperatures will all look all right, but then 3-5 of them will be quite wrong at random.  What is interesting about this problem, it is that when I change the thermocouple which become the use of heaters to maintain the set temperature, the values that were wrong again on the right and some other thermocouples start giving invalid data.  The installation program uses a NI 9213 and 3 NI 9211 inputs for thermocouples.  It also uses one OR 9401 to control heaters through a box pulse width modulation power we have.  Someone at - he never experience something like this or have any ideas?  Thanks for any help

    Hey Nathan,.

Thanks for the ideas.  I ended up spending to playback of multiple samples as you suggested and this error has not popped up once again, so hopefully that fixed this issue.  I think I solved the problem of both weird thermocouple readings! I think that I had a ground loop problem which I fixed it by the grounding all thermocouples to a metal table.  For all those who on their getting odd unexplained readings, certainly experiment with ground everything correctly.

  • USB6120 as meter of thermocouple

Anyone know anyway I can set up a USB-6120 as a meter of thermocouple in place measure voltage?  I have a few extra analog inputs on the device I want to use for this purpose, so I don't have to buy a whole new data acquisition.  Anyone have any ideas?  Is this possible?

I guess you meant USB-6210... Everything depends on the desired degree of precision... You will meet 2 limiting factors:

-noise DAQ of entry card: M-series cards usually have pretty good performance, without signal conditioning, you can already reach noise measurements less than 1 ° C, with the more sentitive input range (we did this on a project for a client). But to be very careful in your wiring, sampling frequency (higher), with an average of signal, etc. To get better, you will definitely need additional electronic (preamplifier and a lowpass filter anti-aliasing with cut up to half of your actual sampling frequency). You will find screws to convert the voltage measured temperature in the digital palette (Scaling).

-compensation of welding cold temperature: thermocouple, thus not only measure the temperature at their "end of remote sensing" (the junction of the thermocouple), but are also influenced by the junction of the thermocouple wires (made of some specific materials according to type of transport CANADA) with the connection of the side block DAQ board of copper. To compensate for the parasitic portion of the signal, you need to measure the temperature of the block connector (for example with an RTD, so you do really need one more Ain chanel) and fix the total voltage for the thermocouple voltage provided at this temperature. All this is done automatically when you use OR packaging, specially designed for the connection of thermocouple signals. But if you have a "precise reasonnably guess" (regarding your needs of precision) of your connector block temperature, the conversion V T screws allow you to specify its value. To first order (that is, if one ignores the linearity no thermocouple), the overall error will equal the error in your estimate of the temperature to the connection block. Not really suitable for precise (1 ° or less) the measures, but OK if you measure an oven at high temperature +/-10 ° C...

    I hope this helps.

  • unknown error code: B8302332

What does the B8302332 error code? The printer is Photosmart C8180 All-in-one. I often find this code on the screen of the printer in the morning when I go to turn it on. Close a normal night before using the power button on front. Power cord for printer is connected. Error seems to be correlated with the time. No heat in the room during the night. Error occurs during colder temperatures. See not in summer.

    Steven

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for the quick response! It's a shame, it's to die because you certainly seem to like the printer, but I hope as long as it's not too cold it will continue to work for you

I just wanted to ask, if she agrees with you, to help others who may have a similar problem, would you be able to score the second post in our thread here as an acceptable Solution? That way if others have the same error codes that they will be able to view the same information that I provide to you!

Once again thanks for your time, have a great day Steven!

    Hello

After looking at the attached copy, you experience ITB cleaning blade streaks.  The waste toner/toner used in calibration cycles is cleaned off the surface of the belt of the ITB cleaning squeegee.  It seems that C-blade is a failure on one side.  Here are a few options to resolve this problem:

    1. If within a period of the product warranty, contact HP and ask a new ITB.
    2. If outside warranty, buy a new ITB.
    3. Remove the C-blade and check to build fibre, dust, debris in the area of the belt where the failure of cleaning is in progress.

As a temporary workaround, you can try:

    1. Perform the ITB cleaning cycles by opening the front cover and close it.  This can allow the C-blade remove the toner.  Perform this sequence several times.
    2. Remove the tow tug and carefully wipe the toner with a soft lint or the toner cloth that comes with toner CRG.
    3. Increase the temperature of the environment (if less than 59F/15 c).

This defect occurs only during a cold start?

    Your product is under warranty?

Is it possible that your printer works in an environment with particles?

    What is the coldest temperature that you printer is exposed to?  If you work at a cold temperature (T<59F 5c),="" then="" the="" system="" should="" recover="" when="" the="" temperature="" is="">

    I saw this post:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/1794156#1794156

I would like to know how to make a word or a series of letters, shake as if they feel cold (temperature wise).  I thought about using an animation technique fussing, but I am helpless as to where to start or how to apply the instructions in help for AE CS4 documents.  If there is someone who can guide me through this process I would be very happy.

    Sincerely,

    Markerline

If I understand correctly what you want, it can be much easier - no need to expressions.

As you probably know, After Effects has to a very powerful text animation engine, based on the idea of the animators and selectors. I suggest you take a look at the whole of the chapter on the text animation using After Effects.

A host of text is essentially a group of properties that you add in the calendar that includes two basic elements - a number of properties of the animation (position, scale, rotation, followed, color fill and many others) and one or more text selectors, which are those used to choose which elements of the text are affected by these properties Add. Animation is done by how certain elements of text going in or out of a State 'selected' State 'not selected', going through everything in between. The beauty of it all, is that it takes only a couple of keyframes for control of dozens of characters. And you can do it very quickly, once you master the basics, instead of fighting with a thousand layers as it used to be.

In this Ernestine cazel, according to me, you can get what you want by creating a host for position with a selector of fussing: whirlpool open the layer text and the "Animate" menu select "position". You will see this host has a range inside selector (this is the default selection). Delete it and from the menu 'Add' next to the host you created, choose selector > Wiggly (the earthquake selector is on the assignment of each character (or word or line if you wish) a random selection intensity that changes x times per second.) This intensity (amount) defines how strongly the position (or other real estate to host text) value affects this character/Word/line. So, if the selector given earthquake one amount of 30% for the second, it means that he will receive 30% of the value of position specified in the animation of text. And this amount changes all the time, from the wiggles per second confusing?

To mimic this 'cold' you feel probably want to adjust the selector fussing for something quick (earthquakes per second) over a short distance (weak position values). You can set the selector fussing to create random quantities by line, depending on what you need, by word or by a character-based.

  • MacBook Pro lights at room temperature.

    Hello

I had this problem with my late 2008 unibody Macbook Pro since last year that he only turns on when I use a blow dryer and blow directly to the logic board to increase its temperature to above 70 ° c/160 degrees Fahrenheit.

I only found on this quick fix to turn it on a few days ago, before I had kept on for several months and as long as it's on it's a machine works well without any problems no matter what was the temperature of House of logic. I brought in a genius bar earlier for a verification of the material but they could not identify any problems.

Any idea of what this could be the cause?

    Thank you.

Just speculating, but maybe a cold or damaged joint to weld. When you heat, parts develop a connection. Cold, parts of contract, leaving a void in the weld joint.

  • Cold fingers should not affect the sensitivity of the trackpad to a remote AppleTV2?

I experienced problems with the trackpad on the AppleTv2 remote while VoiceOver is enabled. (It works perfectly when Voiceover is turned off). We discussed it in the store today, but the guy was rerouted...

In-store, it has worked for everyone except my mother cold fingers (which really needs, the voice off option as it is registered blind)-should affect the trackpad temperature or is she just unable to live in modern society?

(Only Apple TV 4 has a trackpad, so I guess that's what you meant).

Touch sensitivity depends on many factors, but the temperature and, above all, of sweating the difference.

ATV4 settings for control of Siri is adjustable at what speed he reacts to movement of touchpad. Updated the speed slower can be useful.

Also note that other remotes can be programmed to control ATV and there are many accessibility options that can make it easier for your mother to use.

  • New iPhone 6s dies in the 'cold '.

My iPhone 6s was to die often lately. Last night it was 0 degrees celsius or 32 degrees fahrenheit and it happened again. He actually did at temperatures as high as 5 degrees celsius. I never had this problem with my iPhone 5 that I used before the 6s and I used it at lower temperature (-10 /-15) and much more frequently too.

Took note of that Apple and is there anything put in place that this question is still attached?

    Thank you

Here is what Apple has said about it:

Your device is designed to perform well in a wide range of ambient temperatures, with 62 ° to 72 ° F (16 ° to 22 ° C) in the area of ideal comfort. It is particularly important not expose your device to ambient temperatures above 95 ° F (35 ° C), which can damage the battery capacity. In other words, your battery will not power your device as long on a given load. Charge the unit at high ambient temperatures can damage it more. Even storing a battery in a hot environment can damage it irreversibly. When you use your device in a very cold environment, you may notice a decrease in battery life, but this is temporary. When the battery temperature returns to its normal operating range, its performance will return to normal as well.

    iPhone, iPad, iPod and Apple Watch work better at 32 ° to 95 ° F (0 ° to 35 ° C) room temperature. Storage temperature:-4 ° to 113 ° F (-20 ° to 45 ° C).

    Hello

As far as I know, you can change some settings in the properties of nVidia.
Have you checked the settings there?

There must be a tab called "Color Management" or something like that.

    Would recommend cheking this.

  • iPhone 6 stops at a cool temperature

I started to have the question last winter. When I'm out in the cold, my phone suddenly stops any percentage of the battery is on the left. Even in the milder climate (5 ° C in March to the Canada) my iPhone 6 won't last a House of travel bike 20 minutes while in the inside pocket of my jacket. Once I go home, I can turn right back and it will support the rest of the day on the same charge.

So, it seems that the battery cannot provide the necessary power for the phone to operate in temperatures. But count me can last all day when I am on the inside. Everyone knows this? And a replacement of the battery could solve this problem?

    Have you already checked this?

Your device is designed to perform well in a wide range of ambient temperatures, with 62 ° to 72 ° F (16 ° to 22 ° C) in the area of ideal comfort. It is particularly important not expose your device to ambient temperatures above 95 ° F (35 ° C), which can damage the battery capacity.
