Collect Stats once a day for OMA

Hi friends,

OEM Grid Control 10g WHO/OMA
RHEL 4.6

It is just an example scenario.
Given:
I have a CMS to the main office on a server.
I have a client OMA target relmote.

I am tracking our remote client, who has DB Oracle 9i using OMA.
I want to collect statistics on this client every 17:00, because they shut down the server, after office hours.
Office hours for this client is 08:00 - 17:00. And the server closes at 18:00. So I need to download the stats at 17:00.

Given that I am only collecting stat at 17:00, peux I just turn on my main server of WHO at 17:00 too, just to receive updates of this customer? Then I close after updates, so again and repeat the process daily? It comes
to save power consumption. Is this a good practice?

Thank you very much

Ms. K

Hello

To get alerts, WHO/repository database must be running.
for example if your CMS is down, agent targets will still meet the target of the data and the agent can store up to 50 MB (default) and after that it will stop the data collection. It will also continue to try to reach to the WHO and once WHO is in place, it will download all the data and you will get all alerts (latest alerts as well).

So it is always best to keep the agent targets downwards or mode blackout for the unavailability of the WHO.

To monitor the database of the WHO/repository, you an agent installed on the primary server also. So even if you keep the officer down, you will always get alerts on targets except WHO/rest DB. It is therefore necessary to follow this agent because as prod, your tracking will be done through OEM and if something goes wrong with CMS, you won't know.

It is also very easy to blackout and only once, you can select all the targets and the blackout.

As far as I know, but I have not tested, you can also keep the SGD in blackout mode, but you will still get alerts on other targets...
Also, if you don't want to receive alerts by e-mail during a time window, you can set up your electronic mail as a result notification schedule and you will get alert e mail during this time window only.

You also have the option to suspend the notification also.

Rajesh

Every day for 4 days, I had to restart my Imac before I can access the internet, download my mail etc.  Once I do all works very well.  I am running OSX Yosemite 10.10.5.  I have my router (ATT) at the top of my list of preferred wifi.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Try restarting/resetting the router.

Once a day linking Bing itself forces on FireFox. He interrupts the connection.

This is the link that is displayed: go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=219472 & clcid = 0x409

I get this message: the connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page is loading.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.

    Try again

I don't use any of Bing. Only StartPage Qwant and DuckDuckGo.

PS I also asked this question on the MS 8.1 Bing forum. As he might also be a Windows problem.

    Thank you very much.

Ok. The only thing I forgot to do, is use Qwant to for a search on the link I provided. And now the answer has been:

So I solved it myself. Laughing out loud.

  • New HP G72 turns off at random times about once a day

My new G72 at random times on average about 1 time per day (on a few days twice on others not at all) will turn off just the middle of me to use it. I have to wait for it to turn off completely. Then when I press the power button it will give me the departure of NDS "Recovery windows" message upward again normally (programs I had place works after I click on my user profile) and operate normally until the next day or two later when she repeats the cycle. Any ideas? Suggestions?

I discovered that my laptop can avoid the exit ramp once per day if I raise it slightly out of the office so that it is led may well get rid of heat. In the week since I put my laptop on a small pedestal (and old calcualtor) and raised the bottom a little more than one inch on the desktop I did have one stop. Try THIS if you encounter a similar problem out there in TV land. Has been a suggestion of a friend who I thank profusely. I would put this issue as resolved down.

  • BEFVP41 internet connection stops at least once a day (do not use DSL)

Recently started using this router and I noticed that at least once a day the internet connection is dropped and will not bounce back on until I update any random setting on the router. It's getting very annoying frickin since I work from home. I have a static IP via fiber cable directly to the House so no modem is in the way.

I have the Firmware update but apparently according to someone on this page:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/ProductReview.aspx?item=N82E16833124003

"It stopped working completely after a month. After a conversationwith a gentleman very polite to Linksys, we determined that this router comes with (v1.02.00) version thefirmware means forwireless routers! Latest firmware for the router is actually v1.01.04. »

"Much work most of the time. After using it about 2 weeks, he starteddropping the Internet and required a reboot in order toreconnect to the network. After using it about 3 months, it would be notrespond to a ping or a connection attempt, but continued to functionnormally otherwise. Currently, it can not be configured withoutrebooting and he gives a ping answer about 10% of the time. »

Same thing is happening to me so I wonder if I have a defective router or if it is that Linksys has forgotten something with the firmware. I have the last 1.02.00 on router v2.1.

Anyone know anything on this subject?

Try to reflash the firmware once more.

  • How to create a task that runs once a day, immediately after the opening of session?

Hello, I'm wondering how to create a task using the Task Scheduler that runs once a day, immediately after I have logon.

The reason is I want to use Bing Desktop to change my wallpaper every day. However, I just want to run the first time I start my computer every day, so it will change the wallpaper. By default, it starts whenever I have to logon. It's annoying, because I just want it to start once a day to change the wallpaper. However, using the Task Scheduler, I put only a trigger to start "at the opening of session' or"once a day." If I choose once per day, it runs about 5-10 min after I login, instead of logon immediately after. If I choose the two triggers, then it starts after each session.

Basically, I just want the Task Scheduler to launch the program after the connection the first time I connect to the computer on any given day. How can I do this?

  • Windows 7 64-bit hangs once a day without leaving a trace

Windows 7 64 bit freezes once a day without leaving a trace. I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on a SONY Vaio Z1 with 8Gbyte of RAM and an Intel Quad Core. It's driving me crazy. I get nothing relevant observer of events before the crash, nothing after the crash, except the question if I want to restart in Mode without failure. No blue screen. Just a clean restart from scratch.

I got IE9 beta 64 bit and Silverlight. The accidents began to occure after installing IE9. But quite often, IE9 is not yet running. Is there anything I can do to analyze the problem more deeply, for example to run a program in the background to check the system setting?

IE9 is a Beta and Beta means Bugs and bugs mean problems. So uninstall IE9.

  • Smartphone BlackBerry Curve 8310 withdrawal of the battery once a day?

    Welcome,

By our local phone provider, I was told that it is advisable to remove the battery from the Curve 8310 once per day.

    Is this true and why?

    kijanasmart wrote:
Welcome to the tagltd forums a battery pull is recommended occasionally baecause, it releases a memory on the phone. It also helps to fix minor software errors that creep after extended use. There is a free app called Quickpull that does this, so do not remove the battery to restart: http://software.crackberry.com/productMobile.asp?id=27660 yours,.

Kijanasmart guided you quite right.  QuickPull is great.  Took me to reboot my BB every morning at 4:30 for my BB is refreshed and ready to go every day.  That being said.  He is also right to say that a full battery pull is recommended if you have installed 3rd party applications or when your BB feels slow to prolonged use (like display in these forums ).  Do a battery pull as you restart your pc; Restores the memory and delete unnecessary/unwanted files.

Oh and by the way, welcome to the forums!

  • Generate Statspack report automatically once a day

    Hello

I would like to generate statspack report once per day and send automatically to my emial to important parts of this report. Right now I have this sript:
    su - oracle -c "sqlplus perfstat/perfstat" << EOF
    column esnap new_value end_snap noprint
    select max(snap_id) as esnap from stats$snapshot;
    column bsnap new_value begin_snap noprint
    select max(snap_id)-24 as bsnap from stats$snapshot;
    define report_name=/home/oracle/sp_proba.lst
    @?/rdbms/admin/spreport
    EOF
Of course I remove the lines below that parse and send information to my email. It is important to me that those command works when I paste the line in perfstat session (from sqlplus), but when I run the script it receive an error ORA-20200. Of course, it is obvious that this snap_id exists because I select in statspack view! Question is, why this code works when I run line by line of sqlplus session, but does not work when run from a script? Someone at - it such a problem?

    Best.

    try putting a------before instant stats$ $

    column esnap new_value end_snap noprint
    Select max (snap_id) as snapshot esnap of $ stats\;
    column bsnap new_value begin_snap noprint

  • intrusion via CFMAIL - once a day

I have a simple calendar tool I built for my wife's yoga studio.
This is the calendar of the volunteers.

A person is responsible for a change.
If they cannot work on this trip, they click on a small x next to their name and the change is indicated as vacant and an e-mail is sent to all other volunteers to let them know that this change is now available.

The problem is that about 80,000 have been sent last month, and I went way above my limit of shared plans. :) So this tool I built for her for free and let the studio keep my site costs me money. How is what would have happened? :)

Anyway, before I implement a workaround solution, possibly sending by email once a day in a batch to each user, someone help suggestions for a process to reduce the number of emails sent?

Ask your scheduled task hosting company. If they won't let you on the administrator, use cfschedule.

I hope that your db design allows you to identify the vacancies. If so, your scheduled task is a simple/intrusion via cfmail cfquery.

To minimize the number of emails, do not use the query attribute in the intrusion via cfmail. Use cfloop in the part of the body of the mail.

  • App tabs keep disappear when firefox is charged - at least once a day!

App tabs keep disappearing in 64-bit Windows 7 at least once a day?

(PIN) App tabs and groups of tabs (Panorama) are stored in session data [1] in the sessionstore.js file [2] in the Firefox profile folder [3].

Make sure that you do not use "Clear recent history" to clear the 'browsing history' when Firefox is closed because who wins and prevent Firefox tabs from the previous session.

It is also possible to use the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" parameter, which is generally a more reliable way to restore the session data.

If you like CCleaner cleaning software, then make sure that the Session is disabled in the parameters of the Firefox application.

  • Windows XP Professional hangs once a day

During the last three months of my computer, a PC of 16 months that are running Windows XP Professional, has been freezing about once a day. The only error message that appears on the event log is a system error, Print source, event 23. The Description is "printer hp LaserJet 1000 initialization failed because an appropriate hp LaserJet 1000 driver could not be found." I had uninstalled my LJ 1000 about 6 months ago. After that the accidents began, I upgraded my bios and ran CCleaner to clean the registry. However, I always get the same error message in the event viewer. How to remove completely any trace of the LJ 1000?

First of all, remove the printer in printers and Faxes applet.  To remove the drivers, while in printers and faxes, click the file menu and then click on "Server Properties" and then click the drivers tab and remove LJ1000 drivers, restart the computer to apply the changes.  I am not convinced that this event 23 is the source of your plant, but remove the drivers and see if things improve.
