Color of taskbar of Windows 7 (no Aero)

How can I change the color of the taskbar when the don't use no Aero? I have a powerful enough computer, but I like to pinch every bit of speed I can get to it and which includes the use only no Aero. Currently the task bar are blue but I want a simple configuration of black.

Any help is appreciated.

Did you know that Aero lets your computer work better than basic/classic?  In fact, to get the most speed: just disable transparency but allow Aero on.

Aero uses your video card to store the image of all running applications.  In this way, when you move a window (or maximize a), your CPU and the application itself never even know!  In the old days (GDI Office treatment, which is used in basic/classic mode), the operating system will have to request the application of "re-draw itself every time,"that is why dragging a window around without Aero on the causes of lag and these weird trails when under heavy load.

If you have a powerful computer with a decent graphics card, Aero will give you much better performance.  Try it, you will not be disappointed.

(Used XP GDI, it is why turn off the themes you gave the best performance.  "It is not true more.)

This morning I received a message from Microsoft Update 'important' and so I updated my laptop, rebooted and noticed that the borders of my taskbar and window were more transparent. Before the update, everything worked fine, but now it does not work. Everything so far, works great except the issue of transparency. Was one of these updates for a video driver?  If that were the case, you might want to go back to the previous driver in Device Manager.

On the same note, ensuring that you have the latest video driver is also important if it wasn't one of the updates.

Then, you should try to restart the DWM and ensuring that it is auto-start.

In the search box, type "services".

When the window appears, select services and check for the Desktop Windows Manager.  Try to restart it.  Then right click on the entry and make sure that it is auto-start.

I think that Christopher was referring to right click on the remove safely icon on the taskbar and choosing then to remove it safely.

Otherwise, this may be a feature of the device driver and the device manufacturer may be able to tell how.

  • How to change color text icon in Windows 7?

I spent an hour of Googling with no response.

I tried other forums without success.

The only answers I can find only apply to Windows XP.

I want to change the color of the text on the icons on my desktop and I'm running Windows 7 64.

I had to to the title of the window color and appearance, and went down to the police of icon, but the color is grayed out and I can't change it much matter what I do.

I can only change the size and the police, but not the color.

The thing is, I know there is a way to change the color of the text, because he was black and I was messing around with a few different options and know that it's white and after about an hour and a half of googling and trying to figure out what I did I can not yet understand how to change it back.

I took a screenshot of the area is gray and me being not able to change the setting, but I didn't know how to post it here, so I just did my avatar.

It can be quite difficult to do, but it's the best I know how to do.

    Help, please.

There is no way simple and direct way to change the font color of desktop in Windows 7.  From what I see, Windows will judge the background color and the font color of black if the background is bright, but you have to log market again to see this change - at least sometimes.

There is a downloadable freeware tool called TransText which allows editing directly.  Note: I have not personally used this tool.  And there is a secondary problem with the evolution of a light dark police using a tool like this, and that is that you have to disable the 'shadow' effect in the performance Options dialog box. When Windows performs the change she manages both the shadow.

Keep in mind that the "BOLD" of the police Variant can be selected, which makes it a little easier to read.

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community!

If I understand correctly, you want to disassociate an application under the taskbar properties.

Unfortunately, there is no option as such in the taskbar properties.

However, you can use your favorite search engine and looking for a software that does it for you.
