color overlay

Hi all, looking to try different colors for the outlines of this layering of color portrait-tried but without success - suggestions?

Screen Shot 2015-12-15 at 15.58.08.png

Hi, you have a lot of options to do. If you use the layering of colors as a style, pls use the overlay of the menu options in drop-down 'Color' or 'Hue '. Otherwise, you can add a new Hue Saturation adjustment layer and change the tone. Or you can add a new layer (that I see in your screenshot with black color) to use as a method of superposition 'Hue' or 'Color' and painting with different colors on this layer. This new layer should be on the one you call "Portrait right" and use a clipping mask (you can do this by selecting layer/create a clipping mask), how your color will affect only the portrait and not the background.

    Could also use a color overlay layer style. (Use of the overlay blend modes with varying opacities to get what you want). No destructive as well; You can return to it at any time. At the bottom of the Panel layers:

    How I changed the color of something? OK, so I use to be able to change the color of things, but now I have use color overlay, gradient overlay, or change the color when I first create the form, it turns into another shade of gray instead of change the color, I chose.

    Three things I can think of:

    Your document must be in RGB mode.

    Layer blending mode should be set to Normal

    Masks are grayscale. If you select the mask, you cannot apply a color.

    Always check your tab at the top to see if what you choose is RGB or grayscale.

  • Question about the Texture of the paper, distressed Edge and a specific color overlay

    Hello!

    I searched for the answer to this question without luck so far - would love to hear if anyone knows how I can do this!

    I try to combine a texture of watercolor paper with a border of sponge (as much as I do) and then having the watercolor paper corresponds to a pantone color specific of my palette.

    When I superimpose a color on white paper in one of the blending modes it seems not good. Is the same for setting the opacity of the color so that the texture is evident.

    I feel that my question is not clear, so I'll try to summarize in screencaps!

    I'm trying to make the texture in a color mark, so I don't have clearance for the color to a lighter shade, etc.

    Thank you very much!

    Texture and color in blending mode multiply, order should not issue. Then load the edge as a layer mask.

  • Add Layer (overlay colors etc.) mess with sorting 3D effect.

    Bit of a weird one and I would say must be a bug.

    I have a complex walkthroughs 3D (branches, leaves, etc. of the tree) created from 2D Photoshop files.

    I wanted to add a bit of color in some of the layers using a color overlay.

    As soon as I apply the layer seems to go to the back of the composition ignoring its yard according to its position on the Z.

    The workaround I found is to re-arange the model as well as the layers are in the order they are in layers

    that is applying the style seems to be the layer back back to the 2D sort so put the layer I have first flythrough on the albums pop it back forward.

    However since my camera moves backwards in the Z of the comp plan that does not work in all cases.

    So for some, I had to comp before the offending layers and make color settings here.

    Not a huge mission, but not ideal for fine adjustment.

    I was wondering if anyone has a solution or just an explanation would be a good thing.

    It is not a bug. It works as it should. Layer styles are applied after all the operations of the EA and thus break the 3D rendering. It's somewhere in the help. If you really need a few coloring Basic, to use other effects as fill, tint or whatever.

  • Why the selected color change itself?

    Hello!

    I use Ps CS6. I created a text and put it in a layer style. I put 0000ff color overlay. When I click 'OK', the color displayed on the text is not really accurate that I chose. So I went back to the 'blending options' and check under the tab "color overlay". Then, I realized that she had changed and a 3953, 4. I have no idea why it happened. I tried to fix it again at 0000ff and clicked on "OK". Then the same thing happened again. I couldn't get the text to color, like I wanted. This happens to any color what to choose. They will automatically change to another color code. The document is in CMYK 8 bits. What is actually wrong with it and how do I get the text to color as I wanted it to be?

    Thank you.

  • Black in color

    I have a jpg file I need to change. There is a black part I want to change to blue. so my question is, how to change a black solid color?

    These methods come to mind.

    (1) make a selection of the black part of the image

    (2) apply to a solid blue color Overlay

    (3) to keep the luminance of the underlying pixels set the blending mode of the layer of COLOR overlay

    And black will turn blue

    An alternative is to make a selection of the black area and use a selected Hue Saturation with COLORIZE layer. You will find

    You can also adjust the color like that

    I used the color range to select black in the image below.

    Then selected COLORIZE in the dialog box and change the color

  • Help with the creation of color sets in the Illustrator file

    I'm repeating a specific background image on every page of a calendar and want to change its colors on each page. There are 2 shades in the image using a total of four different colors. I am not at all skilled in the theory of color and I was wondering if someone can please tell me if there is an easy way to come with harmonious color combinations that I can apply to the original Illustrator file? My solution shortcut would be to convert color to grayscale and apply a color overlay, but the image will seem just flat when I do this. I prefer to set the gradients individually but do not know how to find the compatible colours.

    Here's a preview of the image, followed by a DropBox link to the Illustrator file.

    Couple for you ideas:

    First of all, try to use the color wheel on color.adobe.com.  Select the middle color and add your hex code of the color.  The app will automatically show you similar colors.  See an example of here. You can also experiment with other rules of color in the color rule menu (just click on one of them).

    Second, take a look at themes created by others.  If you are generally looking for colors that work well with the yellow, you can browse the most popular themes and identify some that use yellow.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to do really simple things? tool change, set color etc.

    Hi all

    I tried to do a color picker. I managed to make it work with a user interface and all the sweet looks, but I have no idea how to actually do something! Photoshop, he's throwing very well.

    Really simple things:

    1. How do you define the pipette tool? (I already have working code that detects when the mouse moves outside the window)

    2. How do you define the color? Looking as setColor() function so that the current color, and the user can preview the result (i.e. color overlay)

    For me, seems like these two would be a simple of liners, but I can not for the love of God understand how do!

    However, documentation for JS is pretty good, but I was not able to run my swatches JS code. Here's my attempt att runs javascript code:

    bool runJavascript (const char * jscode)

    {

    If (sSPBasic is nil)

    {

    NSLog (@"sSPBasic is NULL");

    Returns false;

    }

    ERR = sSPBasic-> AcquireSuite (kJSScriptingSuite, kJSScriptingSuiteVersion2, (const void *) & sScriptingSuite);

    If (sScriptingSuite == NULL) //Also support Photoshop CS4 CS1 and items 6-10

    ERR = sSPBasic-> AcquireSuite (kJSScriptingSuite, kJSScriptingSuiteVersion1, (const void *) & sScriptingSuite);

    If (sScriptingSuite == NULL) return false;

    JSEngineRef engineRef = NULL;

    ERR = sScriptingSuite-> CreateEngine (& engineRef);

    If (err is kSPNoError)

    {

    Ascii to unicode conversion

    wchar_t * wcode;

    size_t codelength is strlen (jscode) + 1;.

    wCode = (wchar_t *) malloc (codelength * sizeof (wchar_t));

    mbstowcs (wcode, jscode, codelength);

    const ASUnicode * result = NULL;

    ERR = sScriptingSuite-> ExecuteScript (engineRef, (ASUnicode *) wcode, kJSExecutionModeNoDebug, & result);

    If (err! = kSPNoError)

    {

    NSLog (@"error (%d) JavaScript.) ("Script: %s ', (int) * result, jscode);

    }

    on the other

    {

    NSLog (@"JavaScript OK!");

    }

    Free (wCode);

    }

    on the other

    {

    Returns false;

    }

    If (engineRef)

    {

    sScriptingSuite-> DeleteEngine (engineRef);

    }

    Returns true;

    }

    Which doesn't really work. It seems that the culprit is the conversion of char * in ASUnicode. In the example they had

    const ASUnicode test [] = {'a', 'l', 'e', 'r', 't', ' (','------", 'h', 'i', ' \", ' ') ' ', ', ';', 0};

    which works very well. But apparently I don't convert my string to ASUnicode the correct way. Ideas or comments are much appreciated!

    CBC char [1024] = "alert ('Hello dissolve')";
    ASZString newZString;
    ASUnicode script [1024];
    sASZString-> MakeFromCString (src, strlen (src) + 1, & newZString);
    sASZString-> AsUnicodeCString (newZString, script, strlen (src) + 1, false);
    const ASUnicode * result;
    sScripting-> ExecuteScript (engineRef, script, kJSExecutionModeNoDebug, & result);
    sScripting-> DeleteEngine (engineRef);
    sASZString-> Release (newZString);
  • How to change the color of an object without losing its detail?

    Hi all

    I get by creating most of the time the artwork for my ad in photoshop, my finished product is always good, but I'm not an expert by any means.

    Currently, I am in need a yellow real estate sign post... all sock images that I can find to buy are white. I'm sure that there is a way to fix it, but I'm coming without the required knowledge...

    Starting with an image like this:

    [IMG] http://i1043.Photobucket.com/albums/B439/just_luc/Firefox%20Uploads/stock-vector-for-sale-Signe-vecteur-1.jpg [/IMG]

    (And before everyone says anything yes I know this is proof... I fully intend to purchase the image once I determin I'll be able to use it for my needs.)

    I tried just using the paint bucket tool in the color I need:

    [IMG] http://i1043.Photobucket.com/albums/B439/just_luc/Firefox%20Uploads/test.jpg [/IMG]

    If I spend a little time I can obviously do a better job, filling all space missed, but the image loses the grain of wood and other details...

    Is there a better way to do this?

    As always with Photoshop, there are several ways to achieve this.

    One method would be to select the woodwork in the Panel (see below) and to promote this selection into a new layer Ctrl (or cmd on a Mac) + J

    Then select the layer effects (by clicking on the button fx at the bottom of the layers panel.

    Then select color overlay

    Choose the color that you want to

    Then play with the blend mode (you will probably find that multiply or color will work better - but have a play).

    To select the woodwork, you can use a number of methods, including the following:

    Use the pen tool and then convert the path to a selection

    Go to the menu select, then select color range

    Use the quick selection

    There are other ways (do a search to make selections in Google)

    Another method would be to create an empty layer above the layer that has the Panel and then (on this layer) with the paint brush tool on the Panel with the color you want. If you multiply or the selected color in the blend mode, you can keep all the texture of the original image.

    As I said there are probably at least another 99 ways to do it - the above is only a few suggestions.

    I suggest that you have a good game and see what happens.

    Any clarification - then just after again.

    See you soon

  • Choose/change some color

    Hello

    I've been scripting in various Adobe products for a while, but simply, I'm stumped on this one.

    I have a series of PNG files which consist of different forms. The forms are black and the rest of the document is transparent.

    I wrote a script to retrieve all documents in a new Photoshop file and place each file/shape on its own layer.

    I then randomize the order of the layers. This theoretically generates unique genre of 'form'.

    I want to do now is change the black pixels of each layer of a different color.

    For example, all the black pixels in the layer 1 will turn red. All the black pixels of the layer 2 will be changed to green, etc, etc.

    As the black PNG forms are placed randomly in different layers, it will again give a unique and colorful model.

    I'm good up to this point. However, I can't figure out how to change black pixels at a specific color using the script interface.

    I thought by selecting only the black pixels and then fill it with a color. Could not know how to do this. Thought to apply a colour change script. Could not know how to do this. I even thought to apply a style or a filter. Could not know how to do that either.

    Any help or suggestions or examples would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Have you tried to use the ScriptingListener code for something like the Style color overlay layer for example?

  • Is there an easy way to change the color of the Glyphish icons?

    Hello

    If you go to http://www.glyphish.com/download/, you can download a PSD that contains a group of icons, each in its own layer. All the icons are gray, however.

    http://www.glyphish.com/images/icondemo.png

    Is it possible to apply a color overlay to all layers and then create a PNG file by icon, with the new color applied?

    Hello

    I found a way to do it by getting rid of unnecessary layers, select all the layers icon, grouping, apply color overlay to the group, and layer creation based slices out of them.

    Then save for Web did the trick.

  • Change color or color change?

    Using After Effects CS5 windows.

    I'm changing this white area in colors more surrounding blue clothing.

    Do not know what would be the best tool to do this

    Change color or change color.

    But change color does not seem to have a place to change the color OF.  At least I don't see a color picker to change the color of...  And I don't see a slider that will allow me to choose a color to change it too. (I'm sure it's to look at me.)

    Color change, even if I use the pipette on the white area, then select the blue of clothing as his replacement, I can not just the white area to change to blue. (I even tried to change to red, without a bit of luck.)

    White is more difficult to change a color simply change a 'true' color (I see these tutorials about chaning pink red to pink blue and it seems to work very well in the tutorials.  But I have no luck with this white area.

    Any suggestions?

  • Change the color of the image

    Hello

    I have an image that I copied from a PDF file. The image is green. I want to make it black. It isn't vectorised and transparency. I tried to add a fill color, without success.

    Someone knows how can I do this? I know that Photoshop is as simple as adding a color overlay in the Merge Options.

    Thank you

    Assuming that the image is indeed a bitmap and you do not want to redefine your image in Photoshop or another bitmap editing program, need us more details to know exactly what the image is and that some parts of the image that you want to color 'black' instead of 'green '. You're talking about coloring the dark green parts, or you want to give the whole picture a black tint? You want to remove the color entirely?

    If you just want to give the whole image a black shade, create a black rectangle in Illustrator, paste it on the image, and set the option "Color" of transparency. Then, use the opacity percentage to vary the amount of black. (This will also color the background, however.) You can then use the Eraser tool (for example) in Illustrator to remove parts of the shape of recovery in order to expose his background or the original image.

    In addition, if you want to remove the color of a bitmap entirely in artificial intelligence, you can select convert it change - change the colors - the menu in grayscale command.

    I don't know why you would oppose the image editing in Photoshop and then import into Illustrator, considering it as a bitmap image in a first time.
