  To be honest, I doubt that this has something to do with the Toshiba laptop.
  Powerpoint 2007 is a Microsoft product, and in my opinion, your question/problem is related specifically to MS PowerPoint software.

  Do you mean that your view is completely dark?  :|
  Sounds a little like the FL inverter would die.

  FL-converter is a small part that is placed close to the LCD screen and control the backlight.

  For existing photos, select all your images in the grid view, and then click the Reset All button in the quick develop Panel. Then click on the auto tone button to correctly apply this feature.

  To prevent this from happening in the future, choose Lightroom > preferences > Presets (Mac OS) or edit > Preferences > Presets (Windows). Uncheck the apply auto tone adjustments.

  Can someone explain why a PNG seems so dark when they are imported into Word/PowerPoint? Bottom left is the appearance of the original in Photoshop. Everything is good.   It's all pretty simple: when you have no color management - and you don't have MS Office - you must create the file in sRGB. Assignment of profiles later in Photoshop or elsewhere, will do nothing. RGB numbers must be sRGB first.

  The reason is that most screens are near sRGB natively and therefore shows the files right about sRGB even without no color management.

  What is the embedded profile, is useless and irrelevant here. The profile will be just ignored anyway. In the color management software, it's different of course, but it wasn't the issue.

  So you can make the logo in Illustrator and export without profile - make sure that Amnesty International color settings are defined in sRGB (and that the file is in RGB mode).

• Portege R500-10J: not possible to watch movies - colors screen too dark

  I recently bought a Portege R500-10J and have a pretty bad problem - I can not watch every movie (DVD or *.avi or anyone else) here. All media are invisible on the screen. Its too dark and some colors are recorded.

  I have no problem with all office applications, or browsing the internet, the colors are perfect for screen 12.1 inch, but using any application media is almost impossible.

  Didn't help not change any settings. The colors are extremely poor. I have not install anything but this was while the computer is first.

  Anyone know - is it a hardware problem (video card) or software (drivers, codecs, sth else), or it is a normal phenomenon?

  To be honest, it is not easy to understand your problem. I guess you use battery power while traveling. In this case, intelligence tool will probably switch to energy saving mode. In this case, the display brightness will increase at a lower level.

  You can set it to the highest level by using the FN + F7 key combination. Be sure that the screen is in the right direction (90 degrees from your eyes).

• T61 screen becomes very dark

  I had this T61 for almost 6 years. Now, I turn on the laptop, the screen is very dark and nothing is displayed. But when I close the screen and open again, the screen starts to work with the color red on bottom. This will keep a few seconds, then it flashes and go dark again. Meanwhile, the laptop will automatically transfer mode 'sleep'. Can someone give me some suggestions on what do I do please?

  Welcome to the forum!

  The backlight (CCFL) in your screen is on its last leg, the reddish color is a dead giveaway.

  Your T61 needs a new LCD.

• separator bar color becomes transparent

  Hi all

  I have a split bar in my vi which I want the Transparent value at run time using its color property. However, if I set the transparent color, it becomes black. All other colors seems to work very well, it seems that it's only a problem when installing on Transparent.

  I enclose my vi that demonstrate this problem. Could someone please take a look and let me know if this is a bug in LabVIEW?

  Cannot set a separator to transparent color.  It would be as affecting the transparent pane.  There is nothing behind it.

  The work around is that you assign the same color as the component to which it is adjacent the color of the separator.  You can also try to minimize the size of the separator makes as little as 1pixel.  You can get 0 in size.

  EDIT: Also set the style for the separator to the classic, in this way, that there is no modern shadow and it will appear more invisible.

• Random colors are too dark. Questions on the color boxes

  I'm trying to change the color of the plots on a graph of mixed signals remotely using the 'color box' which works very well. However, I'll also put squares of color to a color at random when the program starts first of all which is where my problem lies.

  What I am doing, is that I have a random number generator pumping a number then I multiply the number by 10000000, just to give me some brighter than the dark colors, and then I wired to I'm defining the random color on the color box control. The problem is that even if it does not the decent colors some colors produced are quite dark and difficult to see on the graph of mixed signals.

  I could make the graphic background a different color if I have to in order to see a majority of the colors coming out, but I would rather that have the colors come out on the side that is bright and colorful.

  So I have two questions for you guys and girls:

  1) how the colors of the colorbox get determined using the unsigned int 32?

  Such an example of why I'm confused, is that the number I had is 5726420 from the random number generator (+ multiplies), but under the control of colorbox RGB value is R:87 G:96 B:212. Why is this?

  2) there is any type of algorithm out there that someone did which can produce random values that will give the kind of colors neony? or whatever it is semi bright indeed?

  Use 'RGB color' of three random U8 (o.. 255) values to generate a color. (double click on it to open the VI to understand the structure of the type of color data )

• Color does not work in Photoshop CC

  I downloaded Photoshop from the creative cloud but when I opened it all the colors were black and white. I tried looking to see if it was on shades of gray or not, but it is clearly set to RGB. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  Reset the preference settings

  Go to edit-> preferences-> General

  Reset on quit preference

  restart photoshop.
