  You can do that on Windows XP. Your second screenshot comes from Vista and there you can have it like that. In XP you will always have the title bar as shown in your first screenshot.

• How to change the overall color of the active style for button

  I am creating web buttons.  I'm pretty new to this.  I created a button that has two layers (text and background).  For the background layer, I have selected this layer and then click one of the styles in the active panel.  These styles have a certain set of effects.  When you click on a style, it is implemented in the color that is indicated on the style.  Is there a change in the way in which the color of this style and its effects?  For example, if you click the style "chrome misc 004", how the color is changed to something else like green but still maintain the effects?

  Select your button, then watch the properties (lower-left) area.

  You will see that some filters have been applied to the button.

  Scroll the filter Panel, and then select the Hue/Saturation.  Click on the little "i" icon and have a play around with it and you get the look you are after.

  Setting filters will also change the appearance of the button - just play with them and see how you will :-)

• Asterisk arbitrarily in title bar changes

  I've always relied on the symbol of asterisk on the title bar of a file to alert me of a colorspace by default. In previous versions of the PS, this meant that the file was not in the current default color space, and it's something I paid attention when 40 students different subject files for evaluation.

  Here's the situation...

  In PS CS4 I AdobeRGB set as my default RGB color space. I can open a file that contains the tag this color space, and the title bar has no asterisk - as expected.

  However, when I select file > print and simply click done or print, the title bar of the file suddenly pushes an asterisk. The file is STILL in the Adobe RGB space as seen under Edition > convert to profile, but still has the asterisk display.

  I've done other things if you change a photo and suddenly get the asterisk as well. A quick search here brought to the top of any other question about this.

  Any ideas why this happens?

  System: newish 24 "iMac, OSX 10.5.7 8 GB of ram, Virgin installation of CS4 suite with all available patches currently applied.

  The asterisk outside jurisdiction parens means you have changed the file (unsaved changes took place - in this case, print settings). The asterisk inside the parens jurisdiction means that the image is not in your workspace. I am completely at a loss as to why someone would choose such a confusing symbol for this feature.

• What happened to the window menu (title bar, left corner)?

  There has been an icon of the menu window on the title bar of windows applications. I've just updated to Firefox 29,0 and you have removed all. I want it back (not to talk about the status of the old-school bar; and Yes, I have 4-status-evar and Firefox 29,0 messed a now too).

  The title bar is disabled by default. Open customize in the Panel Menu and click on the title bar to switch it on.

  Instead of jumping into the list of cards for a collection (the so-called Page Browse), there is a setting on the collection of jump in the first article. Essentially, this allows to bypass the page browse and opens the first item in the collection.

  For now, there is not a way to disable the application user interface.

• Muse is not let me change the color of the text in different States - "changes to text can be edited or formatted by the State [...]"

  When I watch tutorials on the buttons of the State etc.. I see that Muse allows you to select different States, then highlight the text and change the color to set the color of the text in this State.

  But whenever I select the State I want to change, and then select my text and change its color, it changes the color of all States as a default color to be applied only for a State.

  I get the message "text ranges cannot be edited or formatted by the State. Change to this mode effect all States. "in the window of the States while text is highlighted.

  But people seem to be able to do it just like that. Any help is very appreciated.

  States are associated with blocks of text rather than the text itself. Please make sure that the entire text block is selected instead of text to apply changes on different States.

• What are colored in the timeline panel horizontal bars?

  Where are the horizontal bars colored in the timeline explained.  It seems that a red bar is placed on a surface that is to be made.  Green is on the areas that should not be made.  Don't know what yellow means.  And are there other colors here?  I'm running the first Pro CS6.

• Installed new HARD drive with the new installation of XP, old HDD ShowAs saw as the active partition, how to change this?

  I installed a new HARD drive with a new installation of Windows XP Edition family. I want to keep the old HDD and reformat the drive, but I can't because the second HDD is listed as active in the management of the computer. Why? It's not the drive that contains the operating system (Windows XP) that is initialized from.  I put the BIOS such that the new HARD drive is the boot drive. The old HDD has Windows XP on it, but isn't the startup disk. I just don't understand.
  If only the new HARD drive is installed, the computer management doesn't show that it or any other of its partitions are the active partition (C drive is listed as the system partition, of course).

  How can I get an active partition and no active partition when the new HARD drive is installed on a HARD drive that is not the boot drive, when I have two hard drives installed?

  In case it is necessary, the new HARD drive is a SATA and the old HARD drive is IDE with the cavaliers as a slave.

  The system partition is the Active partition. The system volume contains the system files needed to start Windows, Windows XP, these system files are:

  NTLDR
  Boot.ini
  NTDETECT.COM
  Ntbootdd.sys (present/used only with older SCSI controllers)

  Windows files are not necessarily on the system volume, they can reside on another volume, when on a different volume this volume holding Windows files is called the boot volume.

  When you install Windows on a computer, playing a mixture of IDE and SATA setup discs tends to favor with IDE drives on SATA drives and tends to use the IDE drive to house the system partition, (even if Windows is installed on a different drive).

  Running the command SYSTEM SET at a command prompt may shed some light on the problem...
