  Form processing is done by some scripts somewhere - either on the form page itself, or bound to the action attribute.  Searching this forum for hundreds of threads that describe how form processing.

  I have a page with a form that will insert data into a MySQL database, using PHP. Dreamweaver has established the connection to the db fine. He sees the table and columns very well.

  My pages are based on the EMP2 table that has fields EMPNO, ENAME, DEPTNO and DNAME. This links to the table that has fields DEPTNO and DNAME DEPT. My sample form is used to fill the EMP2. DNAME field with the Department. DNAME value based on the DEPTNO entered by the user.

  So, first of all, I have a link to my report on page 1. This theme has the following parameters:

  Target: Page
  Page: 2
  Clear Cache: 2
  1 name of goods: P2_EMPNO
  Value of the element 1: #EMPNO #.

  Note that I have clear the cache for page 2

  Now on page 2 (the form) I have four fields - P2_EMPNO (hidden), P2_ENAME (that we cannot ignore here), P2_DEPTNO (text field) and P2_DNAME (display in the text field (stops State))

  P2_DEPTNO has the following parameters:

  Source: always,...
  Source type: column database
  Value of source: DEPTNO

  P2_DNAME has the following parameters:

The method is a type of "SQL query" and has the following calculation:

  I'm ignoring the report showing the DEPTNO values as it was just to check what are the numbers that I could use.

  ·         What happens when you try to open the form?

  ·         What is the file extension or the form that you received?

  If the form needs no associated program to open it, then you will need to install the program to be able to open the form. For example, if the form you received is in PDF format you need Acrobat to open the form.

  I expect a few problems with my php script but it seems to me that the button send is not do anything like that, so it is same gettting as much as the script. Is this fair? What I am doing wrong?

  I built a form Eloqua adding pre-load all fields using mergers to appropriate field. I added then this form to an Eloqua hosted landing page http://contact.parasolgroup.co.uk/SameDayPayment

  I sent me an email from Eloqua containing the above landing page.

  When I visit the email launch page, all the values of the fields are empty, except for the first name field that has a value of "Colleague" - seems to be a standard default value Eloqua?

  How can I solve this problem? No idea why the pre-population of would work?

  Hi Chris,

  Just curious - you have activated the tracking on the link in the email? I had the same problem (just do not remember what has happened) and I vaguely remember it has something to do with the link tracking.

  Rule of thumb:

  Links for Eloqua Micro site pages = TRACKING No.

  Links to external pages = FOLLOW-UP (elqtrack = true)

• Acrobat 9 Standard comes with the scanner does not install

  My serial number for the grouped Acrobat 9 Standard is interpreted by Adobe as an upgrade.  I can not install without evidence of an earlier version - which, of course, I never had.

  The scanner is a Fujitsu fi-6230 (big machine).

  I have just upgraded to Windows 7 and need to reinstall Acrobat. Would prefer to save the expense of a full version - I thought to upgrade after installation of level 9.  But here I'm stuck on zero.

  I have to place the form in a movieclip, because the shape is a good interpolation made by Laco interpolation method.

  The root of the problem (look at the code you posted), it's that there is no event that determines what should happen when your data comes back from PHP. When you use loadvariables, you need an event for mcForm, like our:

  {mcForm.onData = function ()}
  do something
  }

  The problem according to what I see is that on your main timeline code checks the value of mcForm.skickat, but you do not seem to define this variable anywhere. The php script returns a variable named 'send', but I do not see anywhere skickat. If it is not set, its value will be always "not defined".

  To make things more efficient, you should really use loadVars and a reponsed instead of loadVariables Manager. When you use loadVariables, all variables in the clip are sent to your php script that transfer really just data loss. Using loadVars, you specify what vars to send, making the process more efficient. See the docs... everything is in there (with examples).

  BTW... This is the Flash Media Server forum. In the future, you might want to ask questions like this in the general flash or actionscript forum, you will get more answers (more people read on these forums)

• My Pavilion g does not start. The switch does not work. Any ideas how to start the computer?

  Welcome to the Forum.  Sorry to hear of your problem power button on your HP Pavilion g7-1135sd.

  In a situation like this.  You have removed the battery and tried to push the power button with out.

  Have you tried while he was not powered as well.  So basically, remove the battery and hold the power button for 40 seconds with the power cord not plugged in.  Then replace the battery followed by power cord.  Then press the power button again.  If it does not at this stage I would contact HP support by phone.

• I have a HTML5 form that sends a null (%) if the user does not have a choice. It works fine, but I get an error of W3c on the value of '% '. Is there another way to send a NULL value?

  I have an HTML5 form that allows the user to select 1 of 6 provinces of Costa Rica. If they do not select a Province, I use php code to send a NULL value and the other selections research of the form looking for all Provinces. If they choose a province, we are looking for database records that are found in this province.  Currently I use the value = '%' as the selected value if the user does not have a choice. It works and looks in all provinces, but I get an error of W3c checking on the value = '% '. Y at - it another way to send a NULL value. PS: I have the same problem on the following form which allows you to select the Business category. The page is http://www.yellowpagescr.com
