Column VPD security: Restrict updates

Hi all.

I have a table on which I have access to two columns with limited success:

DBMS_RLS. ADD_POLICY (object_schema = > 'the_user',)

object_name = > 'the_table. "

POLICY_NAME = > "some_policy"

policy_function = > 'working_vpd_function ',.

sec_relevant_cols = > 'send an email, phone,

sec_relevant_cols_opt = > DBMS_RLS. ALL_ROWS);

Now when I query the table I see nulls for email and phone for only in the rows, while I see the actuals for the lines, I am allowed to see. It's big.

My problem is that I can update these secure columns:

Update the_table

set email = ' [email protected] '

where [line which is limited to the current session]

Now I select the line and I see still see null by the vpd auth function. However, as sys or another user who can see the line in question I see now that the email has actually been updated. That's my problem, I don't want a user who cannot see the restriction (email or Phanoe) column to be updated.

Is there an option of CAE I'm missing here? I guess I can handle this via a trigger, but I was hoping vpd included such a feature. I don't see the value of data with success, but her masking to be updated...

If anyone wants to play with this scenario, i.e. a complete example, with table ddl/inserts, package, definition of politics and, please let me know.

An idea, just use two strategies. Some things to note: 1. they have of course the names of separate policy and 2. they use the same policy_function for auth because we limit the exact same lines. Result: for a line where you are limited the first policy you can't see the columns by e-mail or telephone, and politics of the second prevents you update these lines.

    Thanks for the reassurance. Tech support McAfee response to any problem seems to be reinstalled, I've done a dozen times.

    I have several updates automatic safety that will not be installed.  I tried to intall them separately and even disabled my firewall, but they won't install always.  I'm having problems to open my mail in Hotmail as well and have tried all of the fixes suggested in the success of wihout forums.   • Connection failed - can not confirm security (since updated to 31) exception

    This morning I was able to access to our installation of plesk for our server (I had previously confirmed the security exception after receiving the warning) without problem. Then firefox updated to 31 and now it gives me this error:
    The secure connection failed

    An error occurred during a connection to (* website *). The issuer certificate is not valid. (Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid)

    With no option to confirm any security exception. I am still able to access it through Chrome, but we all use firefox here (and would like to continue to do so). I checked on computers that have not updated yet and they have managed to get in again, I updated one of them and now they get the same error, so it's a matter of firefox with the new update.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Can you put the bug for reference number?

    You can try to rename the file cert8.db in the Firefox profile in cert8.db.old folder or delete the cert8.db file to remove the intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored.

    If it helped to solve the problem, then you can delete the renamed file cert8.db.old.
    Otherwise you can rename (or copy) the file cert8.db.old to cert8.db to restore previous intermediary certificates.
    Firefox automatically records the intermediate certificates when you visit Web sites that send such a certificate.

    If that didn't help then remove or rename secmod.db (secmod.db.old) as well.

    I checked my history of computers up-to-date and I found a total of 77 MS Windows Vista security updates and updates of some regular to other programs that CANNOT install properly for some reason (I checked instalation and automatic updates) and I would like to know if I deleate all updates of 'IMPOSSIBLE' from my computer and if so how to do correctly and will be sent again when I'm done deleating them?   They have all been sent within a period of about 2 days 9 days out and have error codes different too!   • Re-Installation of security KB2644615 update failed

    KB2644615 has been successfully installed on January 11, 2012... about 2 weeks later, quite separately, my Vista Home Prem SP2 is become unstable so restored to a point of date before Jan 11... Since this update of security refused to install properly and blocks other Updates MS to settle if allowed to run. In fact it installs, but fails in step 3 of the configuration of re - start the update.  Tried Safe Mode + MSCONFIG with selective S/U & only MS Services running etc. without success... That Pasa? It has really become a nuisance.

    Thank you for your response. When I tried to install the updates from 12 January 2016 on my Windows 7 computer, I met a problem at the stage where I have to shut down the computer to complete the process. When configuring updates, he remained at 12% for a very long time and then permanently returned to the opening of session and when I checked the history update based on the x 64 updates eleven have been identified as having failed.

    I ran to the resolution of the problems of Windows Update. I did not try to reset the Windows Update components for fear of making things worse. I see at least another user, John Butler, has encountered the same problem and he identified the update of security KB3110329 as the cause of the problem of configuration.

    Later, I downloaded the updates again and hid and then successfully installed their KB3110329 leaving unchecked everything.

    Currently, I have hidden KB3110329 and wait for the opinion of its repair.
