  In Pages, type your number. Select the Edit menu: Emoji & symbols. This will launch the character Panel. In the search table, type "combining macron" without the quotes. The first character to appear on the central display is the macron combining. Your insertion point is always behind the number (or letter) that you typed, click twice on the macron combining symbol in the Middle character Panel. I was wondering how to insert symbols in the current timeline... which means I'm trying to create new layer and convert it to a symbol but I don't how to combine with existing chronology.   Here's a way to do what I think you want to do.  In the menu bar, select Insert-> new symbol-> Movieclip.  Assign a name to describe what it is, and then click OK.

  You can add what you want in the timeline of this new symbol, including the new layers and code and designs etc...

  When you want to go back first to place this symbol in the main scenario for the file, choose Edit-> Edit the Document to return you to the main timeline.  Then to the discovery of the library symbol you just created and place it where you want in the main timeline.

• Combination of cards symbols appear incorrectly in the Pages of the IPAD

  I often get Word documents by e-mail containing Bridge hands and problems.  They are normally written using Times New Roman or Arial and include costume ♠ symbols (for example).  ♥.   Looks like it's more a problem of police with the iPad having not the police symbol to display the symbols.

  The job easier would be for anyone who is sending them to send you a PDF or convert a JPG file, which the iPad would be just as a picture of their document.

  Or you can experiment with other word processing applications to see if they read the symbols. Unless they have a free version or 'lite' which can be a costly experience.

• Key combination to bring up the emoji & symbols

  It's driving me crazy.  There must be a simple answer, but I can't understand it.

  on my imac, the key combination to bring up the viewer characters is command-option-t.  on my macbook pro, it's the control-command-space.  both machines run the same system (latest version of el capitan).  It's a real pain because I regularly use both machines and I can NEVER remember what combination works on which computer.  where is this combination set?

• Combining the 3D symbols

  I imported 3 forms in a framework, each converted to a MovieClip instance and classified and selected all. I can't find any sort of "collaborating" them together so that when I animate, they move in conjunction with one another. Can someone help or provide a good tutorial? I tried Googling, but it seems to get bogged down with a game called flash! I am trying to create a 3d part I can return on the timeline using the 3-d rotation function.

  Select all clips in 3, right click, click on convert to symbol and select movieclip.

  then, any animation applied to the parent will host the 3 child movieclips.

  The Mac comes with many keyboards international pre installed you can switch to. There are also the key combinations that will call the other symbols and foreign alphabets. You should visit the keyboard pane in system preferences.

  I suggest allowing the mini-menu keyboard/selector character in the Finder, and then save the symbols and characters that you use most often in a Favorites list. A double click on the character, adds it to your t xt.

  Always do here in all the applications I use. The problem may be the font you're using. It has either a degree sign, or it is a non-Unicode font, so when you press Option + shift + 8, you get everything that's in this ordinal position of the police.

  If my diagnosis was good (I'm sure 99% at least) the problem is that:

  • The printer driver is assuming, or be told, that the default font is not present in the printer.
  • If it downloads a soft font, that is "hidden" and he expects to scramble text based data.
  • Then, you try to inject some PCL escape sequences to select a printer-resident font - but you do not cancel the "interference" of the following data (the only way to do this would be by the DBase? command).
