Combing of string to the variable

Hello

I am sure I have done this before but don't remember the code.

I want to combine the result of a query to search for another.

Here's what I mean:

The variable purchasedpro.size is s, m, l or xl (for clothing)

< cfset therealsize = #purchasepro.size # >

"< name cfquery ="getquantity"datasource =" "#" username = "#" password = "#" >
SELECT #therealsize #.
PRODUCTS
WHERE int_ProductID = #purchasepro.int_ProductID #;

< / cfquery >

< cfset size = "getquantity. #purchasepro.size #">"

< cfset newquantity = #thesize #-#purchasepro.int_Quantity # >
"< name cfquery ="updateitems"datasource =" "#" username = "#" password = "#" >
UPDATE products
SET #purchasepro.size # = "#newquatity #
WHERE int_ProductID = ' #purchasepro.int_ProductID # ';
< / cfquery >

So if'm '(for medium) is defined as the realsize, am the coloum' lies in the products table, and then the value of'm ' is out to change.

I'm sure this is to do with the combination "getquantity. #purchasepro.size #"but I don't remember how."

Please can someone help

Daverns goes in the right direction... but...

Beware that this automatically select the first line of the query would return, if the query returns multiple rows, you will need to use cfloop to get additional values

  • String to the Variable of the PSP?

    Hello

    I was hoping I could buid programmatically a variable path shared and then use the Reading Variable VI to read a value.

    Unfortunately, while I can convert a PSP Variable in a string, I can't do the reverse. The output of the string to the shared Variable VI is not recognized by the Reading VI Variable. I tried to convert it to a PSP Variable to help more class specific, but she would not allow LabVIEW or the other.

    Is there a way to convert a string to a variable that is shared by program readable?

    What happens if you use:

    Select Replace (happy, 'EmployeeID', v (replacestring)) in the content of emp;
    or maybe
    Select Replace (content, "EmployeeID", v ("| replaceString |")) in the content of emp;

    Choose from list (point 1 of scany_col) with the title "what color to the first position.

    If you want to choose a specific sub-list on all of them:

  • Get the value of the Variable text

    Hi all

    How to get the value of the Variable text. I want to check the value of variable text title in each page.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Robert S

    myText.textVariableInstances.everyItem (.resultText) would do it.

    The representation of a TextVariable on the page is a TextVariableInstance. They are objects of 'text' (parent may be: cell phone, change, note, Note, history, TextFrame, XmlStory). The "resultText" property is the string that the variable instance currently shows. See Adobe InDesign CS5 (7,0) object model JS: TextVariableInstance

  • How to change the value of string clustered, to implement using the node value of property instead of writing directly on the flow of data or using the variable

    new to labview :-) and I have a problem when I want to change the value of a string in bunches, and I want to implement this using the node value of property instead of writing directly to the stream or by using the variable, enclosed is the picture.   No matter, I have change in cluster (control) or value of Popery out (indicator) cluster, the value (sensor 7) dataflow keeps unchanged even I gave the new value by value of property node. Thank you to give me some advice about this.

    Hi GerdW

    Thanks a lot for your answer. The reason I'm stubbornly tring to break the flow of DATA is: we have a test system that have about 100 screws, they have a few connected flow, some of them will be unbundling a cluster dataflow chain to check the value in order to make the different cases.  Now I want to insert user event by changing the control and influential cases during run time.

    As I initially uses a global variable (to control cases) instead of unbundle string data flow, it works well.  But then, I found there are a lot of screws that are using the string unbundle.  One of the 'lazy' means, I tried is to change the value via the property node (because that way, I did not need to find all the places where using the unbundle string and replace them with the global variable), then I noticed a problem with "dataflow", the value in the stream of cluster in fact will not be changed by changing the value of the property node.

    I did a test with VI simple (like the picture in last post), and after reading your advice, I tell myself that I need to understand the concept of "DATAFLOW" in labview, it seems that my "lazy" way can not work in this scenario.

    I have attached the criterion VI here, have you furthur suggestions on what I can do in this case?

    Mant thanks!

  • Using the variable string quickly calling several variables

    OK, I'm not entirely sure how to explain it, but I will do my best...

    I have had several similar Boolean variables which are publicly declared at the beginning of my class.

    for example

    public var _ball0_mcPlaced:Boolean = false;
    public var _ball1_mcPlaced:Boolean = false;
    public var _ball2_mcPlaced:Boolean = false;

    This will determine whether or not a particular ball was placed in a target area.

    Now I want to use this variable again in a function... However, I do not want to write in the variable for each ball in the service.

    Is there a faster way to access this variable by using a string inside the function varibale?  Each ball becomes a target of the event if clicked, so I could use something like...

    ("_" + event.target.name + "Placé") to create the dependent variable on which ball is selected?
    So, if ball0_mc is selected it returns the _ball0_mcPlaced variable?

    How can I do this?

    See you soon

    It would be written using the array notation in the form of...

    ["_" + event.target.name + "Placé"] = true;

  • TestStand 2012 keeps the value of the variable

    I have a problem with TestStand 2012 that preserves the value of the variable. I have a step and its parameters in the string variable. I use the expression step as Step.Settings += "00". I run the sequence under sequential model and the problem is that Step.Settings is equal to "00" on the first run, '0000' on the second throw, '000000' on the third race and so forth, but it must rest '00' on each race. I can't find the root cause. Anyone has the same problem and can advice how to solve?

    Try to uncheck the properties of the sequence > optimize reentrant calls to this sequence to the sequence that contains the step.

  • Release of connect-viserver added to the variable - how?

    Hello

    I'm fighting to understand a problem with a script that I write to stop our vSphere & NetApp infrastructure when our UPS battery is critical.  If someone would be so kind help where I am wrong, I would be happy.

    A function connects to vSphere, gets the list of running virtual machines and this output to a csv file.  The value of the csv path is then returned by the function to be used elsewhere in the script.

    The problem I encounter is that the output of the command connect-viserver is being added for the returned data, and so I did not have a clean file to a csv file name more.  When I put a breakpoint on the return line, the value of $RunningVM_File is: C:\Path\To\file.txt, continue the script and check the value of the variable of the function is returned to, and the returned value has changed:

    Port of user name

    ----                           ----  ----
