IdeaPad Yoga 13 can't see 5 GHz network

Hi all

Just got the machine from Bestbuy today, love so far except that Yoga can not see my network 5 GHz on the wireless networks list. I can connect next to 2.4 Ghz without problem.

I have Asus router providing two SSID - 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz, my X 220, Samsung phone, iPad is not any problem connect to one of them - excpet the 13 yoga.

I tried to download and run the Realtek driver on the Lenovo support site and still can't see 5 GHz network.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Thank you

    Hello

I have the new laptop XPS of 13 2015 with Broadcom 802.11ac configuration. I am unable to see my WiFi 5 GHz network and can connect only to the 2.4 Ghz band. My router is the Asus RT-N66U. Is there a solution?

    SAL

    I had the same problem.

If you uninstall the wireless card in Device Manager (select the option to also delete the driver) and then check for changes on the hardware, Windows uses its own built the pilot who can see 5 GHz networks.  It seems that the driver from the Dell Web site is borked.

My concern is that this driver is not updated, so I would like to know where to get more drivers for this device.

  • Mac OSX 10.8.4 can't see 5 GHz Linksys EA6500 wireless network

    Hello

We have an EA6500 of Linksys router work of office. I found that Macs can't see 5 GHz network quite often but can almost always see the 2.4 Ghz network. If I restart the Mac then it can sometimes see the 5 GHz network but it's far from being reliable in trying to connect.

Once all connected works correctly, it's just the operating system to display a list of network. If I same boot Mac in Windows 8 he can see the 5 GHz Wireless reliable every time.

The office is in a shared office space, and there are many visible wireless in the room, about 12 now.

I have the latest firmware of the router Linksys EA6500 (1.1.28.147876) and all software updates on Mac OSX. I fiddled with the network of automotive channels, to the setting of specific channels that seemed empty when I used a phone Android to see how busy they were.

Has anyone seen or had any sort of resolution?

When I get home, I have the same router and my Mac connect reliably, 100% of the time on the 5 GHz network.

Well, I got to the low fo this. My steps, in case someone knocks something similar were:

    1. start of Fedora Core 19 Linux on my Macbook Air

2 tries to connect to various networks near me, even if I didn't have the key

  • Brand new WUSB6300 can't see 5 GHz band - defective?

Hello. Just bought an adapter nine WUSB6300 that I read on the forums that it is reliable and certified WiFi.

I currently have an ASUS RT-AC66U dual band Router router and one adapter dual band ASUS USB-AC53 at home for my desktop running Win10, but I had dropouts and I couldn't connect to 5 GHz 802.11ac properly.

So, I thought that all my problems Wireless will be resolved now, but exactly the opposite happened.

I installed the drivers from the CD and the new adapter plugged. I have two wireless networks at home, a 2.4 and 5 GHz one, named differently, but my new adapter does not see 5 GHz network.

I spent hours trying different settings of the router (change of 802.11ac 802.11n and editing the bandwidhts, 20-40-80) but without success. Then I plugged the adapter on my laptop, which has Win7 and I had the same problem, no visible 5 GHz network. I tried different drivers from Linksys - without success. I could see and connect to the network 2.4 GHz, no problem.

The last thing I'll do, I'll try with another router, before I send it for replacement. But before that, I thought I'll ask the question here: have you had similar problems with your adapter or do you think mine is DOA?

Change of the wireless router s 5 GHz to channel 36.

  • Pavilion 15 with Realtek rtl8188ee can't see 802.11n network

    Hello

a new Pavilion 15 with the network card wireless Realtek rtl8188ee - all drivers up to date.

I have a Netgear router which is dual band and there is a network of 11g and 11n.

I can connect and use the network of 11g all very well.

But I don't even see the 11n network.

    Any thoughts?

    Hello:

If you mean that you cannot connect to the 5.0 GHz band, it's because the wireless RTL8188EE is a unique card band (2.4 GHz) only.

  • Realtek 8191se in Satellite Pro L640 won't see 5 GHz network

I have a new Apple Extreme Base Station with full support dual band 802.11n.
I set up two separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
The wireless adapter is a Realtek wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC 8191SE bundled with the laptop when I bought it.
Toshiba L640 sees only the 2.4 GHz network.
On another site, a technician HP recommended upgrading of 8192E Realtek adapter.
What can I do to get 802.11n 5 GHz work?

    Hello

The Satellite Pro L640 seems to be a Toshiba laptop we.
In any case, first you must make sure that your wireless network card is 802.11 Wlan N capable.
If the WLan card would support 802.11 Wlan N standard, then I recommend updating the driver WLan.
You must use the most recent driver from the Wlan card manufacturer page.

In addition, you must make sure that wireless network adapter has been configured to use the standard 802.11 N.
You should check the settings in the Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab.

    Welcome them

  • Connected to the wireless network, but can't see all the networks

I want to look at the properties of a wireless network that I'm not connected, but I can't do this, because even though I am connected to the Internet, some networks are appearing on the list. Please see the image as an attachment.

    Hello Nathaniel,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

According to the description of the problem, you are connected to internet but cannot see the wireless network through which you are connected. Perhaps, the reason behind this is that some settings get corrupted. Then try below mentioned methods and see if it helps.

Have you tried to restart the computer and check the status of your problem.

Try to run in built store and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

Automated convenience store is a tool that can find and automatically fix problems with your computer. These utilities are not designed to solve all the problems, but they are useful to try because they can often save your time and efforts.

    Run the network troubleshooter utility:

Try to follow the steps described in the article mentioned below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

    Why can't I find a wireless network?

If the problem persists you can try the steps provided by Professor Grim replied on January 19, 2012 in the thread mentioned below.

No display in Windows 7 64 bit wireless network

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

  • Can't see the computer network

I have two computers running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on my home network. In Windows Explorer under network, n ° 1 sees itself and n ° 2, but no. 2 can't see himself, i.e. cannot see no. 1.  Both can access the internet. The printer is connected to the N1 by USB (we had a lot of trouble at first with Wi - Fi so use cable for this).

There is no RESIDENTIAL group because I understand there are IPv6 and our router does not support that. I tried the homegroup, but no. 2 could not yet see no. 1. We operate a wireless G network.

On the computers on that network discovery is and file sharing and printer are on. Protected by password sharing is disabled.

I saw some comments which may help to a registry cleaning. Could this be true?

What Miss me? It left me speechless.

    Thanks for your help.

    It's fixed!

I found another thread in that says something about the zone of confidence in their firewall. I went and looked and BINGO! The name of the area was very different in the name of the wireless network. Now it's the same thing and I have reset certain actions and we are connected.

Yay! I thank very you much for all your hard work with this in mind.

Moreover, there is no element of network connections in the control panel in computers. Is that how it should be?

  • Strangest thing: iPhones can't see the wireless network. Why not?

Suddenly, an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 6 were not connected to the home network. I thought that the wireless router was to have a hiccup. Reset it and still no. Control a connected computer and internet. Thought that it was a wireless problem, but check the settings (I don't mess with) and they are fine. BUT, I realized my iPad is always connected to the network. IPhones don't even see the wireless network. SSID always broadcast on. I tried to enter the SSID and password manually, but iPhones say that the network does not exist. It's the strangest thing. What would make the invisible network for phones all of a sudden? Both phones are differnet OS running. One is the latest version, probably the previous version. It's a FiOS Actiontec router/router wireless. Everyone has heard of such a thing? I do not understand how it is possible...

Try this on an iPhone. No matter which even with other iOS.

Tap settings > general > reset > reset network settings

You will need to enter the password for Wi - Fi.

  • How can I see the security network key / password for my wireless network (all I see is points and the characters of the show option does not work)

I'm trying to find out what is the password for my internet connection.  I can see the properties of the network and the password appears as a series of points.  the "Show characters" checkbox does not work... is there anyway I can find what is the password?

    Hello

If you don't remember the password registered for you wireless, you can always reset your router to the factory default settings.
Unfortunately, we cannot help you recover files and features that are lost or forgotten passwords.

  • E4500 - can't see PC in network

Since the upgrade to Cisco I don't see Win7 PC on the network. I don't see the USB attached to E4500, nor that I can see my media server that is based on Linux, or any computuers of Win XP.

Similar problem after cancellation for me as well. No computers in the "working group" machines (XP Pro SP3) and no action in 'my network places '.

Have a list of intellectual property reserves and MAC WiFi permissions, I didn't want to hard reset/reconfigure the router once more. What seemed to work properly for me was to change the name of "Workgroup" (XP Pro machines) under 'Computer name' properties, 'OK' my way to the "reboot now?" ask then, without a reboot, go back and change the name of "Workgroup" back to the original one, 'OK' on and then restarted.

Which returns all my actions and Details of the 'normal' working group and all played well together.

NetScan showed all the prior IP addresses and all were to ping requests from just showing CMD prompt nothing in task force screens.

FWIW - I do not run any media or devices other than those of 6 machines WIN7 Pro and 2 XP (and 2 DD - WRT based LinkSys 54Gs) in the network. A laptop with a LinkSys 300N need me to 'force' wi - fi card to connect using my registered by default profile. The auto stand on stocks, etc.. All machines had Internet access as well.

What I have detailed above has been made only for the local wired network machines on the EA4500. Once this is done, the machines at the other end of the DD-WRTed 54Gs showed correctly as fact those plugged into the router.

In retrospect, I wonder how it would have worked if I had started with the 'primary machine' that I have configured the router with. Maybe save me a step or two? I do not know...

  • Can't see some WiFi networks, while others may

This problem only occurs on the floor of a convention center (and it takes place in several events)

    (1) I see some networks, but not the designated convention center WiFi free

    (2) everyone around me (a few feet), automatically detects and connects to the network

    (3) I do my cell phone a hotspot.  I detect cela, but does not connect.

    (4) I go back to my hotel room, easily detect / connect to the wifi at the hotel, as well as easily detect / connect to the hotspot.

    I use Windows 7 Professional

Compare the networks that you can see with one of your colleagues.  You see them with the same signal strength?  If it is then maybe your ability to receive card WiFi is abnormal and the desired network arrives just in below the level that he can cope.

If this is the situation then search this forum, the support site for your computer manufacturer & their forums of users for your WiFi card.  See if other people have reported similar problems and how they fixed them.  If there is no guideline anywhere then reinstalling the card driver WiFi might be the first thing to try.

I made this suggestion because my card WiFi Dell Inspiron 1545 [Broadcom 1397] could never receive the same strength of signal to others could.  Several other users of Broadcom 1397 reported the same problem.  In this case, the solution was to uninstall Dell utility WiFi control then [Device Manager], select the WiFi card, look in its properties, driver tab and back the driver by default that came with Windows 7.  I don't pretend that your solution will be the same and I invite you to search for reports from other users.

  • Can not see the plan network and Control Panel

Windows 7 64 bit, I can't show my control panel.  The window does not load.  First of all, I had trouble with page load network and Internet.  Now it crashes when I try to open it.  My most recent change was the installation of a new firewall.  I just wanted to see if I should add anything whatsoever to the title of the secure networks.

I can now display the network map.  After the installation of the station, I stopped and restarted.  The system should have distinguished between that and a reboot.  Thank you.
