    Hi Jerryh,

CS5 is several versions back and does not the recent Camera Raw updates in native mode, you can, however, use the converter DNG (Digital Negative) to convert your images to DNG and CS5 format should be able to open those. What can I do to be able to view and work on Camera Raw photos taken with both cameras? Y at - it a plug-in that I can use that will allow me to display and work on photos of 70 d and my photos of the 60 d? Helpful suggestions are appreciated.

You have two options: upgrade to at least Photoshop CC or CS6 or get the free DNG Converter to convert your RAWs 70 d DNG for use in CS5. The last option will always require an additional step.

  • Which plugin camera raw for Photoshop CS2 + Canon Rebel T21

Again, I have the excellent Photoshop CS2 and bought a Canon EOS Rebel T2i. However, the raw files come in Bridge without previewing the image. The file is a CR2. When double-click Photoshop 2 opens and gives the error dialog box:

"Cannot complete request because not any kind of document."

I see that the version 5.7 and 6.1 Adobe Camera Raw plug in are compatible with this device. Can I use with Photoshop 2 to be taken?

If you mentioned it, I forgot which OS, you work under.  I use Windows.  It is possible to see the files in Windows Explorer.  And if you want to work in this way, all you have to do is double-click on a file (if you have your raw/DNG files to Photoshop-related) and Photoshop will start but as soon as it is loaded, and realizes that you have chosen a raw file, it will start Camera Raw.  And that's where you make your changes to your raw images.

I think that you thought that you were editing Bridge is because if you have configured Camera Raw for the full screen there is nothing that indicates that you are in Camera Raw.  But there is the little icon just to the left of the histogram that will toggle full screen power switch.  And if you exit full screen mode, you will see at the top in the bar of the window you are using Camera Raw.

Personally, when I use a Bridge/Photoshop, I like to use Bridge because (in my opinion), it offers several display options in Windows Explorer.  But that's just my personal preference.

When a file was transferred from Camera Raw in Photoshop, it is not in any file format.  The pixels have been converted and loaded into memory to Photoshop.  When you go to save the file Photoshop will give you some choices, but I think it should default PSD which is a Photoshop document.

  • Why are my unsaturated when photographs open in Camera Raw and Photoshop?

    Hi all

I have problems with Camera Raw and Photoshop and I do not know how to proceed. My pictures are very different when it is open to these programs in comparison when open in Adobe Bridge and camera. Photoshop and Camera Raw change elements of photographs in a negative way (for me). I'll try to use a screen shot to illustrate.Untitled.jpg

The left image is seen in Bridge and on my camera and I want that image to look like more or less. Unfortunately, when open in Camera raw (figure on the right) the colors are very obviously different. How can I prevent that from happening. Hope that his and easy difficulty because I'm enough experianced by using this software.

    Thank you.

My best guess is that you're displaying overview integrated camera into Bridge. Check the grid icon in the toolbar and see if it is set to prefer embedded or high quality. Uses of quality high ACR to regenerate previews feature current development settings, or, if no parameters are applied, running by default.

Glimpses of the bridge are in fact of sRGB, and images with larger ranges tend to look breath.

I don't know how experienced you Raw/ACR, but it should be noted that embedded previews are based on settings in the camera control setting of the image, contrast, Saturation, etc.. Whereas previews ACR are based on ACR defaults (which you can modify to your taste), camera profile and development settings. ACR does not take into account most of the settings of your camera.

I installed Camera Raw on photoshop 11 9.1.1. When I try to open a file of a DMC-FZ200 Panisonic RW2, it tells me it doesn't have this format. the specification say it does. ???

Photoshop CS4? = version 11 or 11 elements of Photoshop?

Camera Raw 9.1.1 is only compatible with Photoshop CS6 and Cloud versions. It is not at all compatible with Photoshop Elements.

Therefore, it is unlikely that you have installed Camera Raw 9.1.1.

That said, the Panasonic DMC-FZ200 has been supported since Camera Raw 7.4.

If you have Photoshop elements 11 - which ships with Camera Raw 7.1 - check what version of Camera Raw is actually installed. Help > updates

  • Need help to update / using Camera RAW in Photoshop to 8.6

I use Photoshop CC 2014.1.0 (20140730.r.148 x 64) and my latest version of Camera Raw in Photoshop is 8.4.1.200. (I can see it by going to help-> about-> camera raw plugin)

My version of Lightroom is 5.6 (x 64) and the camera raw in Lightroom is 8.6. So basically I have the latest camera raw, but it is not used in Photoshop CC.

My main problem is that using Lightroom and choose "Edit in photoshop CC 2014" I get a message saying:

"This version of Lightroom can require the Photoshop Camera Raw plugin version 8.6 for full compatibility."

He also said I had to go to help-> updates menu in photoshop to get the last orders, but my installation of Photoshop is to next day.

If anyone knows how to change the raw version of camera used in Photoshop CC 2014 to 8.6?

    Sincerely

    Lars-Erik

    PS. I'm on Windows 8 (64-bit).

How can I move a picture of editing in camera raw in photoshop?  When I click on "Open image" I get a checkerboard in photochop

"ACR" is Adobe Camera Raw, which is that you open your images with. You make all changes using Camera Raw, or simply open them? If you are editing in Camera Raw, what happens if you use the standard file > Open option, instead of opening as...

Another thing, you'll want to do, is to make sure that everything is up to date. This includes Windows 7, Photoshop and your video card. All the these can play a role in the issue of the checkerboard.

  • Camera Raw in PhotoShop CS4?

    Hello

As I can no longer use Adobe Bridge CS4 because of his attempts to destroy my PC.

How is it possible to access the Camera Raw without opening the bridge?

I read in a book about Camera Raw (Real World Camera Raw with Adobe Photoshop CS4 by Bruce Fraser and Jeff Schewe ( ) it was possible, but the book has not explained how do.

I know that attempts to open a RAW image opens the Camera Raw plugin, but in Bridge, you could also open a JPG in Camera Raw.  My camera supports RAW and JPG.  So when I have JPG images taken by my camera I wanted to open and modify those in Camera Raw, but not if it means having to risk using Adobe Bridge - so I need to know how to do it in PhotoShop CS4.

    Can anyone help?

If you go to the menu at the top of the screen to the file , then Open... As you get this dialog box.

  • Camera Raw in Photoshop

I'm opening the camera raw in photshop, but I am unable to find it. What should I do to open and edit my photos in camera raw in photoshop?

If you have an older version that doesn't have the raw from the camera filter, there are other ways.

    (1) file > Open As - file type click on camera raw, and then choose your file. (must be a tiff, raw or jpg) Later versions add png, but I think it's also when they added the filter.

    (2) use Adobe Bridge - choose your file and then press ctrl-r under windows or cmd - r on mac

    (3) If a tiff or jpg was edited in camera raw (new metadata) double-click the file in windows Explorer or the mac finder will open the camera raw dialog box

    (4) set preferences in camera raw to always open tiff or jpg by double clicking in a file viewer. (Default value is only when published)
