  When I do an alt - tab in Windows 7, if I change constantly window (by pressing alt and quickly by clicking tab), it will be in Peek mode.  Normally, I'm expecting the alt - tab window to stay on top, when comes the Peek, but instead of this, my little alt - tab window disappears behind the windows being presented by the look.  I can still scroll through windows by pushing alt - tab, but my window has disappeared.  When I tried this on someone else the Windows 7 box, it has not done this.

  In my case, I narrowed down it to the Windows Gadgets (i.e. sidebar.exe). Once I have closed all my gadgets, the problem disappeared. Otherwise, when I killed sidebar.exe, the problem disappeared.

  Lately, we updates Microsoft has introduced some lag in my system.  I did a restore of last week, the 10th and it was fixed, and the last round of updates automatic introduced the problem again.  Basically, here's the question: when I hit win - L to lock the machine, I get a good 10-20 second delay before it crashes, even with nothing running.  Same with ctrl-alt-delete, or when I alt - tab to go a game of running a browser open.  Now I realize that some of them are more intensive applications in resources, but I could do all these things before the updates almost instantly.  I don't know what are those who have caused the it.  Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

  For the record, I use Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit on a Core2Duo built home 3 GHz with 8gigs of ram box.  GeForce 8800 GTX w / 768 MB of ram at 1600 x 1200 on the screen.  So go to a window of the Explorer browser should not really be a problem.

  @ jesuscheung - I think that it is possible to display a classic style using the DWM rendering engine, but since there is no default theme that looks like this, you can use StarDock WindowBlinds (or a similar application) who can apply skins.

• hearing cs 5.5 accidents after coming back from 10 to 7 windows

  so I've upgraded to windows 10, didn't like it and went back to 7.  Since the start screen opens for hearing, then then an error window informing you that windows closes the program.  After the guests from the window, he said that the software is not compatible.  I tried several xp service pack, windows 2000 compatibility mode settings etc., and the same thing happens.  A uninstall and new installed software... same question.

  This problem could occur due to these reasons.

  • Corrupt Windows Update components.
  • Conflict between third-party applications or external devices.

  To get the classic Alt Tab functionality in Windows 7 the Registry Editor:

  1. go to start, type regedit and press ENTER.

  3. in the right pane, create a new DWORD AltTabSettings and set its value to 1.

  Any new system here - computer laptop Dell Vostro 1720 with the latest drivers according to Dell and Nvidia and all updates on windows update.  Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit installed.

  I get the bug where Alt - Tab disappears immediately once you release the tab button (not allowing you to tab between windows).  Similarly, when you hover over a program in the taskbar, previews immediately disappear.

  I had this same problem and ended up doing a complete uninstall of my Logitech keyboard and mouse software and reinstalled the latest version. This seems to have solved the problem. I suspect a complete uninstall, and then reinstall with the latest version of all Logitech drivers & software can solve the problem. I am running Win7 Pro 64-bit.

  I literally JUST this is done about 10 minutes ago and have not yet tested to see if it sticks through the sleep/wake extended/recovery or restart, but leave the Logitech software resulted in an IMMEDIATE solution to the problem, which prompted me to try the reinstall.   I recently encountered a problem trying to pass the cab to a different application/Office using the standard < alt > < tab > combination of key race.

  When I try this, icons for all open application (+ office) appear correctly in the usual area.  However, when I select an application and release the keys, it jumps to ACR.

  When I get dumped in ACR, the Open Image, OK and Cancel buttons are missing.  A simple click on the window back in focus, and the buttons reappear.

  The alt - tab combination works very well in the PS, LR and other applications.

  Aero switching < start > < tab > fails as < alt > < tab >.

  I've recently updated to the latest versions of CC of the bridge and Psalm

  Any thoughts?
