  Hi all!

  I currently have a problem with text data that are displayed in a text field Flex < mx:Text >.

  It is a narrow textfield (100px wide) in an animated banner that displays the contents of a database. There are a few words that are too long for the space available, so flash encapsulates some of the letters to the next line. I have attached a screenshot that shows the real problem.

  
  The text is displayed in a web application, Java as well, and since this Java application is displayed as a normal Web page, there is a lot more space for text. I can't put hyphens in the text because it would look weird in web display normal.

  If nothing else works, try to insert the hyphen yourself when the data are for the component.

  You might use methods of the TextField class to get the number of rows, to examine each line of text and then insert a hyphen if the conditions are right (in your case, if there is no space between the end of a line and character at the beginning of the next line).

  Here's a quick script that can do. It assumes that there is a text file on your desktop named "name list.txt" it also assumes that the text using a return between names file, this can be changed to commas or anything else you want to use. You must also have an open file to make it work. It does not define the font or the font size, but you can put in the script or select all layers later and change it at once.

  Is there a way I can count the number of words in a text box widget?  I realize that means counting the number of words in the attached variable - but can I do this?

  Great solution to Nancy actually has a problem.

  His image shows sound only to replace in the active document and, if you are looking to replace throughout the site, you want to pull down to find in 'Current Local the entire Site' for all instances of the text or code you want to replace. Dreamweaver warns you that you cannot undo this action for any document not opened in the site. When you click on 'OK' it will open a window of progress because it makes the replacements.

  But CSS cannot replace text, create only formatting.

  Hmm. There are places on the Web where the space is not allowed, specifically in URLs and a symbolic representation, such as % 20, is used. If you have been picking them up, an email client cannot see an opportunity to break the line as those offered by a real space.

  I try to write my first semi-vaste program. He successfully install drivers and serial for my test steps, which are going well. However, I have problems with creating a nice log window. I am currently using a standard text indicator and messages of PASS/FAIL indicator formatting output.

  Basically my Subvi is trying to determine if the string is SUCCESS or FAILURE and assigns a color on this basis. index and index + 4 (success/failure being 4 letter words) are indicators, that within the MAIN program loop to increase or find the next instance of SUCCESS or FAILURE.
