Commas in the section titles, and the *.htm file names reach the hyperlink jumps?

I have two subjects that I'm trying to move on to other topics. The thing that these two issues have in common, is that I originally used commas and apostrophes in the topic titles and the *.htm file names. This seemed to screw things, since my jumps to topics has never worked.

I deleted the subjects that were causing problems and they added without using punctuation. I can not yet jump to these subjects. To check if there was a restriction on the maximum number of hops, you can add to a project, I created a jump to a completely different question - the jump worked.

So, I think that something has been corrupted with these topics. I could try removing them and adding them "fresh" again, but I thought I'd post here to see if someone has encountered the problem before.

Thanks in advance,
ChristyG

I managed to solve the problem by recreating (for the second time) the section titles and files and do not use any sign of punctuation of any well-founded. I think that the problem resulted from using the keywords that have been used and not used/removed/reused. I went to the tab Index, selected 'see also' in the drop-down list and delete keywords that have been put in bold.

Kind regards

  • In any case to stop WMP using identification tags and simply use file names?

I do not use DVD or CD more - for the most part, torn from my PC and streaming via WMP on my PS3/TV

Only problem I have, is that I used the folder & file naming to organize all my media
in fact I only use the view file on WMP
but uses WMP ID tags where date and/or filename if not - that seems messy
In any case to stop WMP using identification tags and simply use file names?
Or at least WMP can be used to remove unwanted tags - mainly video?
I tried to remove them one at a time that "seems" to work until I have re-catalog and tags miraculously reappear?

Tri-pour those who have the same problem - I used Windows to remove the ID tags

Open the window containing the media files > search * to reveal all the files (save you open folders one at a time)
    Folder view > Details
Right-click on the column details bar / > more >
Add the 'title' column (this will display the titles (tags) > OK)
Sort by title window will consolidate all the videos that have set the title/tags
Select all video files with titles
    Right click > properties > Details >
Choose "Remove properties and personal information" > OK
Choose "remove after this file properties.
Check "Title" (multiple values) - careful not to tick/delete other important tags
    Ok
Take a few minutes depending on the number of files
    Sorted
WMP shows now all my media by filename
  • Problems with A3 and published htm file

I published my file - had my htm/js/swf files and we moved them to our Web server. We have made a link on a page that opens the htm file, but when you click on this link, nothing happens - we get a blank page. However, when I typed in the URL of the swf extension he plays. However, when I click just from my hard drive, it reads the file htm very well.

I've published using Flash 7 extension.

    Someone help me?

Thank you for any assistance. We made a new folder and put the files in that one and now it works as it should.

  • Cd to mp3 Ripper and retain their file name

I tore the 36 CD of sequential readings in MP3 on Windows 7 Pro machine. After that I carefully their renamed and put them in five different folders, they are mysteriously renamed and disordered. When I put them on an mp3 player - had not chaotic - files got created and even more in the right order.

Another problem is that I can't find two files that says WMP have been torn - and for some reason any will not tear them again.

So I ripped the cd that contain on a XP machine - not connected to the Internet. I realized after that it was torn to the WMA format. I changed the settings in mp3 - but it won't tear again.

Use just one or two issues

There are a few issues different past here by the looks of it... I suspect that, in some cases (where you ripped using wma), copy protection has been applied and preventing you to access these titles again. Unfortunately, there is no easy way around this.

Keeping mp3 tracks placed in a particular order, it must be set to the top in a particular way otherwise the defaults are likely to be used to organize them, and it will depend a lot on what the information is encoded on the original discs that you ripped. When you ' carefully their renamed and put them into five different folders " I suspect that you have changed only the file names but unfortunately all the machines that read mp3s take the info from the track properties, and not the file name (these properties will also include source info original... which is probably how these additional folders were created...)

The best course of action is to try and beg or borrow another computer to pull them out and start over, leaving them in drive folders.* with make sure you rip in mp3 settings (it is not protected against default copy but you may be asked to agree to comply with the copyright laws before you start).

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news... Ric

  • After a search of the library of bookmark for some a bookmark (and believes it is research), how did you then say it's in the folder? There should be a column 'File' in the line of title like this, Tags, file name, location. Thank you.

A search in bookmarks in the library should provide each bookmark folder and name, Tags and location.
As it is now, a search (for example) for the string 'IESI', a company in the center of Texas garbage collection, actually concludes IESI. But what happens if you don't remember which folder you put the bookmark IESI? Ongoing research fails to provide information of record.

  • How can I change the font color on the title of file name list in a folder?

When you do a "file save as"..., type a document name... Can have the police on this document at a red name round (or other color) fonts for the list of files in the folder.  I want to be able to open the folder and have a file name "stand out" in other securities of black font in grip my eyes with red font?

Vista does not have this capability.  There may be some 3rd party programs that might work for you, but I could find no one who were free and no coming to add this feature to Windows Explorer.

Here "a s business option: http://www.xyplorer.com/index.htm but it's a pretty radical change (it is just to add the ability to change the fonts, colors file, and includes many other options, but it is not Windows
Explorer - this is a totally different file manager) and it costs money so I do not recommend because I think that it is better to use a totally different program Windows Explorer, even if it means not to change the font color of file names.  And if you check, it's a bit expensive just to get this functionality (and who knows the other features of Windows Explorer that you like that you may lose with this alternative - don't really know us much and that it works well with Vidta or causes problems - maybe even serious problems as far as we know - because I know anyone who has ever tried it).

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that. I think the right answer is that Vista is not supported this feature, and then remove it.

    Good luck!

  • File names image missing from the underside of the Photo Image

I recently spoke with someone from Apple support and they confirmed that displaying the name of the file Image is a present feature in iPhoto, but was lost in the update photograph.  Their suggestion was to send feedback to Apple.  He said that it is the most effective way to get results and more of us than that best the chance we have to see this feature in a future update of photography.  It was my return to Apple:

"Thank you for the update photograph... I appreciate some of the improved features that have been made for him. However, I would like to note that the absence of the names of files that appears under the image is cruelly.  I find this information very useful as I get pictures from other sources and helps determine the ownership of the photos.  Now, I'm a little lost without her.

While the screen may look sharper and more user friendly for some, it would be good to know that this feature could be made available View (display Image File Name) option.

Could I do that as a suggestion for your next release? »

If you are also missing this feature, I encourage you to submit your comments to http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html

iPhoto has used the names of files as a default title to be displayed as thumbnails, if no title has been assigned. Photo for Mac displays only the titles under the thumbnails, if a title had been awarded. He makes a distinction between a title assigned user and a file name.

As a workaround: in the tip section the user to change the title of a photo file name - have a look, we have posted a few Scripts from Apple:

Photos will show the title under the thumbnails if you select the titles in the menu: view > metadata.

An alternative workaround: you get pictures of the power.  It allows you to browse your photo library with fields of metadata under the thumbnails - keywords, titles, names of files. You can customize what you want to see in the title or subtitle.

But I support the request for better support of metadata in the pictures.  The feedback form is here: Feedback - Photos - Apple

  • What is the difference between. MHT and. HTM?

Original title: is anyone know about MHT files?

What is the difference between. MHT and. HTM?

    Hi Sheryl,

Welcome to the Windows 7 community!

I understand that you would like to know the difference between file MHT and HTM file. I'm happy to help you.

MHTML, short for MIME HTML, is a format to archive web page used to combine resources that are usually represented by external links (such as images, Flash animations, audio files, Java applets) as well as the HTML code in a single file. The content of an MHTML file is encoded as if it were an email message to HTML, using the MIME type multipart/related. The first part of the file is normally encoded HTML; subsequent parts are additional resources identified by their URL original and encoded in base64. This format is sometimes referred to as MHT, after the suffix .mht given to these files by default when created by Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer or Opera. MHTML is a proposed standard, distributed in an edition revised in 1999 as RFC 2557.

HTML Web page that is used by Web browsers; contains the code markup that is stored in a plain text format; used to display and format the text and images in a Web browser.

HTM files serve the same exact than purpose. HTML files. The extension ".htm" appeared with the use of the Web Microsoft, such as FrontPage, SharePoint Designer and Expression Web development software.

HTM files are much less common than HTML files.

It will be useful. For any other corresponding Windows help, do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help you.

  • How to set different fonts for numbers in the titles and tables of contents

    Hello

I noticed some people to use a different font for the numbers in the titles and tables of contents to get an extra magic. Is it possible to automate the use of fonts in paragraph styles?

Oh and suggestions on which fonts would be a good thing for numbers?

    Thank you!

Furthermore, you must doany of this fancy stuff if you use an OpenType font that made OSF glyphs (and if you are not you will need to set the font as part of your style). Just head on to the style definition and enable OSF there OpenType features section.
