Comment box

Can I ask a lot of questions, that this forum is very useful. I use lynda.com tutorials but the only comment box they offer (as far as I can see) is a code where the Send button triggers the Outlook users open to send e-mail.

send_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, sendData);

function sendData(evtObj:MouseEvent):void {}
trace (name_txt.text);
trace (email_txt.text);
trace (message_txt.text);
var theEmail:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("mailto: [mymail]?") = "+ email_txt.text +" & subject = site & body = "+ message_txt.text +"from:"(+name_txt.text);
navigateToURL (theEmail);
}

I don't know what part of the code that does, but is it possible to have just the comment send directly from my Web site, rather than open their Outlook? I find that most of my visitors do not use any of e-mail software, only email online, so I think it's embarrassing to ask them to send feedback in this way.

So my question is, are at - it code to have a comment send directly from my site to my email?

you will need to use the code server side (like php), in addition, to Flash.

If your server supports the coding, use an email software and call using the urlloader class.

  • I want to change my name as it appears in the comment box.

    In comment boxes, is to show only my first name; I would like to show him my full name. Have searched and searched for a quick fix - I know it's there.

    Right-click on a comment, and then select Properties. Enter your first and last name in the title of the author on the general tab, and then click the "Use default properties" box.

    Any comments that you add after that should have your full as the default author name.

  • How to add a comment box?

    Hey everybody,

    I am trying to add a comments box to photos on my site. I don't know anything about java, so I was hoping you all could help. I received the script to a website called disqus.com. My script is:

    < div id = 'disqus_thread' > < / div >

    < script type = "text/javascript" >

    / * * CONFIGURATION VARIABLES: EDIT BEFORE YOU PASTE IT INTO YOUR WEB PAGE * *.

    var disqus_shortname = "thecampuscocktail"; required: replace your forum shortname example

    / * * DO NOT EDIT BELOW THIS LINE * * /.

    (function() {}

    DSQ = document.createElement ('script') var; DSQ.type = ' text/javascript '; CS6. Async = true;

    dsq.src = ' http:// ' ' + disqus_shortname + «.disqus.com/embed.js ";

    (document.getElementsByTagName ('head') [0]: document.getElementsByTagName ('body') [0]) .appendChild (dsq);

    })();

    < /script >

    " < noscript > please enable JavaScript to see the < a href =" http://Disqus.com/?ref_noscript "> Powered by Disqus comments.» < /a > < / noscript >

    " < a href =" http://Disqus.com "class ="dsq-brlink"> powered blog comments by < span class = 'logo-disqus' > Disqus </span > < /a > "

    I'm not sure which place them in my Web site. And if this isn't a script can you recommend one? Thank you!

    Sorry, I didn't see a box of comments on the site.

  • Editing a comment box

    OMG! I am so NOT like what they have done with such an easy to use program. I'm struggling to find a way to edit comments inside a comment (among many other things!) box. I select 'EDIT', to highlight the text that I want to change and everything about the type is greyed out. Any help is really appreciated.

    You use the tool appear in green in this screenshot? If so, don't you see these options when you select the text that you added, and then press Ctrl + E?

  • The font size in the "Comments" box

    I recently received a document of DC/eSign requiring my signature.  He also had a ' comments: "text box in which I could add my comments on the document.  When I typed in this font size has been massive, and I could find no way to reduce it.  So I typed: "the comments sent separately. Font size... ", signed and sent the eSign document and sent my comments through a Word doc.  When I received the final version of the document of the font size in the comments text box had been reduced to a more reasonable size. It seems, that the author of the document has been able to change the font size, after I had signed the document. So:

    1. Is there a way for the recipient of a document to eSign to change the size of the font in a text box?
    2. It is true that the author can change the size of the font in a text box in a document that was signed by the recipient?
    3. If Yes, can also change the contents of such a box by other means, i.e. change not only the size of the police but also to change its content after a document has been signed?

    1: no, it's purely the author.

    2 and 3: the default is 'auto', which dynamically adjusts the size of the font in a field. An author has no right of publication of a document signed so that they could not change the values in a form

  • Disqus and other comment boxes no longer appear.

    I upgraded to Firefox 24.0 a few days ago. (At the same time, I've also upgraded to java last.) I have a Dell laptop with Windows XP.

    After that I've updated, Disqus comment supervised (and some others) no longer appear in my browser. And I don't want to say fail to load, it's an old problem of Disqus (occasionally). They are not flat.

    Accordingly, I have returned using Chrome, which shows them very well. I like Firefox better than Chrome, but if I can't see the comments on my usual sites, he died for me.

    Yes, that's what I did.

    Everything works fine now.

  • Yahoo.Politics and other sites of yahoo does not appear the comment box

    I have the latest version of Firefox 39. I have disabled all add-ons, restarted Windows 7, but the problem persists. With google chrome, everything works fine. Help on how to troubleshoot and resolve this problem would be appreciated.
    Example:

    https://www.Yahoo.com/politics/Jeb-Bush-consultant-critiques-Republican-digital-124448872556.html

    All right!

    Deleted ALL cookies (I do it every night together with cache, but only for the last day or four hours, depending). I also had to play around with Ghost (allow facebook, twitter, yahoo analytics) and Disconnect (disable on yahoo.com) extensions. That seems to have done the trick.

    Regarding the SSL protocol, sometimes I get the warnings you mentioned. They do not make sense, because the sites are pretty reliable (banks and others). I try again a couple of times on google chrome too and everything is OK.

    I really appreciate your help on this matter and your admirable patience.

  • Comment in Youtube box turns into a link, and I can't comment. Help, please.

    When I want to make a comment on Youtube of a video, I get a flash of a page that I can't make out and I can not even make a comment in the text box.  Each time, click on the comment box to write a comment, I get this flash of a certain type I can see momentarily is Google + page, but there are no upward long enough to do more than that. If anyone has experienced this?  The comment box that I would write as a comment in seems to become a link - my cursor turns into a hand (apparently telling me that the comment box all is a link). Help, please! Acer Chromebook 720-2848.

    It's an add-on brower who was the culprit. I don't remember the name of it now, but when I took it I was able to post comments on Youtube with success.

  • How can I add a box of comments testimonials on my website?

    I'm currently almost finished my site, I want to add a comment box in my footer so that visitors can leave testimonials on my company.

    I would like the data they enter to automatically appear in another div and fade in and out.

    So basically two divs different one that contains the comment box and the other who travels all the testimony of one at a time and goes off to.

    The only problem is that I have no idea where to start.

    Can someone tell me each topic entails and what I should reference to find that began and ended. As I said that I know how to build a basic site, but I don't know anything about adding a comment box or who came to view the data in another div automatically and cycling through them all.

    This site at the bottom of the page has a display similar to what I think offshore, but isn't that the comment box, but that's essentially what I'm trying to find a way to, customer quotes fade in and out. I would like to just another section next to it for customers to add comments and that the automatically updated list at day and do scroll through them that this site is made

    So if someone could just explain what are the topics I should be research specifically, I'd be very happy.

    What you need, it's using a library such as Jquery and script on the server side.  You need scripts server to send the information to a database to be saved (assuming you want to keep the comments) and then JQuery and javascript will treat and write in the page.  I won't scare you too much, but this is not a topic for beginners because there is interaction between languages.  I've provided the 2 links below for reference:

  • Creating a box of HTML editor comment

    I think that it is a difficult thing to achieve, but I also believe that experts of the forum can help me with this that I want to create a HTML editor features comment box as there should be a button for bold italic etc. If you are not able to understand, then you can check such a comment box

    http://whereweget.com

    check any post in the present and you will be able to access the comment trhe box

    FCKEditor is a pretty popular solution for this. If you don't want the hassle of setting up yourself, WebAssist creates a Dreamweaver extension called iRite. It is not free, but it is not particularly onerous. I have not used it myself, but from what I hear, it works fine.

  • capture a comment remnant box

    I don't know what their own name, but you know the yellow comment box that appears in most windows applications when you hover over an object? This guy. I understand that this could be a distraction unwanted in most cases and can understand why the default is don't not capture these but I specifically want to show this. Can someone tell me how to do this?

    Hi onetreeisland and welcome to our community

    Unless I'm misunderstanding you, these little critters are normally called 'Tooltips '. You can try one of the following two approaches.

    1. in your recording Options (Options >... recording Options > record Options tab, make sure that "Enable AutoSave" is selected.) For the recording mode, click the menu drop down and select demo. Then click on the settings... Edit button. Place a check box to enable the option "Convert tooltips to rollover captions.

    Or...

    2. during the registration process, when you see a ToolTip is displayed, press the print screen button to capture the screen with the ToolTip is visible.

    See you soon... Rick

  • I can't post comments on YouTube with Firefox more, but can be downloaded on IE. Problem intermittent, some videos that I can post to.

    The comment box is gray on videos a lot, but not all. The problem is only on FireFox; I go to the same videos on IE and don't have no problem posting comments. I have Windows 7 Edition home premium service pack 1 64-bit. The problem is new, working fine until a few days ago. I refreshed Firefox to default settings, been through the menus help Youtube and help Firefox.

    Thank you, clear your cookies for YouTube did the job.
