  I am trying to add a comments box to photos on my site. I don't know anything about java, so I was hoping you all could help. I received the script to a website called disqus.com. My script is:

• The edit preferences dialog box will not appear in Lightroom 6 - system 64-bit Windows 8.1

  When I select EDIT-Preferences dialog box does not appear.    What I am doing wrong?

  Two other things to try:

  A preferences. Reset LR, as described in this article: reset the lightroom - updated - Lightroom Forums preferences file. LR is not uncommon soil its file preferences, and when that happens, it will behave unpredictably.  (The preferences are not reset when you reinstall LR.)

  B. manually edit the preferences file to disable the use of LR of the graphics processor, as described in this article help: using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom | Graphics processor (GPU) acceleration, troubleshooting & FAQ Lightroom.  A little more detail about the steps in this article:

  1. Release of Lightroom.
  2. Click on the Start button in the lower left corner and copy them and paste "%appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs" (without the quotes) in the search box, and then type Enter. This will open the preferences file in Notepad.
  3. Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the useAutoBahn next = false
  4. File > Save followed by file > exit.
  5. Restart Lightroom CC/6

• How to stop the menu showing "export pdf, create pdf, edit pdf, comment" etc

  How to stop the menu showing "export pdf, create pdf, edit pdf, comment" etc. which always appear on the right side of the screen every time I open a pdf file?  We do not pay for any of these functions and may not use it.  The menu takes a good amount of screen and is quite annoying to have to hide whenever I open a pdf file.

  Right-click on a comment, and then select Properties. Enter your first and last name in the title of the author on the general tab, and then click the "Use default properties" box.

  Any comments that you add after that should have your full as the default author name.

  Can I ask a lot of questions, that this forum is very useful. I use lynda.com tutorials but the only comment box they offer (as far as I can see) is a code where the Send button triggers the Outlook users open to send e-mail.

  I don't know what part of the code that does, but is it possible to have just the comment send directly from my Web site, rather than open their Outlook? I find that most of my visitors do not use any of e-mail software, only email online, so I think it's embarrassing to ask them to send feedback in this way.

  So my question is, are at - it code to have a comment send directly from my site to my email?

  you will need to use the code server side (like php), in addition, to Flash.

  If your server supports the coding, use an email software and call using the urlloader class.

• Edit/Find dialog box

  A few weeks ago, I noticed that when I click on 'Edit/Search', my screen sparkle a little and then nothing else - I do not get a dialog box.  I have not rebooted, still no dialog box.  I googled and can't find all solutions in this way or the other.  What happened to the dialog box?  Maybe this related to a recent security renewal Norton?

  Thank you, I solved it myself.  I had a toolbar google open and when you click on edit and then find, google 'find' button illuminated - which was the shimmering, I saw that.  When I close the google toolbar, I can use the regular IE edit/find.

  Hi, I created a dialog box with a BasicEditField but when I run the app I can't enter alphanumeric data in the edit field.

  Sorry my fault. I guess I overide the keyChar() and that is why any touches of character have been accepted.

• The font size in the "Comments" box

  1: no, it's purely the author.

  2 and 3: the default is 'auto', which dynamically adjusts the size of the font in a field. An author has no right of publication of a document signed so that they could not change the values in a form

• Disqus and other comment boxes no longer appear.

  I upgraded to Firefox 24.0 a few days ago. (At the same time, I've also upgraded to java last.) I have a Dell laptop with Windows XP.

  After that I've updated, Disqus comment supervised (and some others) no longer appear in my browser. And I don't want to say fail to load, it's an old problem of Disqus (occasionally). They are not flat.

  Accordingly, I have returned using Chrome, which shows them very well. I like Firefox better than Chrome, but if I can't see the comments on my usual sites, he died for me.

  I have the latest version of Firefox 39. I have disabled all add-ons, restarted Windows 7, but the problem persists. With google chrome, everything works fine. Help on how to troubleshoot and resolve this problem would be appreciated.

  Deleted ALL cookies (I do it every night together with cache, but only for the last day or four hours, depending). I also had to play around with Ghost (allow facebook, twitter, yahoo analytics) and  Disconnect (disable on yahoo.com) extensions.  That seems to have done the trick.
  

  Regarding the SSL protocol, sometimes I get the warnings you mentioned. They do not make sense, because the sites are pretty reliable (banks and others). I try again a couple of times on google chrome too and everything is OK.
