Compaq does not start without charger

First of all:

Product name: Compaq Presario CQ57 301SA

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

My problem is that whenever I try to boot my laptop with only the battery as energy source, it does not start. The equipment starts and everything, but displays only a black screen. No flashing in the keyboard and the power led is displayed.

If I plug in charger and connect it to the laptop, which is the only time that the contineus to laptop to display the startup process.

At first I thought that there may be a problem in the battery, but it is completely charged (100%), said the HP battery check is OK, and whenever I remove the charger after startup and the logon Windows stage, the laptop does not turn off.

Just for the background story: I recently sent my HP laptop for hardware failure and they replaced my motherboard. When I picked up, they turned on without the charger plugged and it starts up successfully. When I turned it on in my own home, this happens.

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Hello Kazu081,

Did you get this resolved? I thought that since you had the motherboard replaced, and that's when your troubles started, you must call and speak with a representative.  Let them know what is happening and please let me know the results.

Why can I now not start without the CD?

    HiNeal2660,

It seems that the NTLDR file is not on the C: drive. NTLDR is the boot loader for all versions of Windows.

You can perform a Windows XP repair installation & check if you are able to start normally.

  • MacBook does not start without warning, please help I'm losing my mind

MacBook pro froze performs a simple operation. Got the wheel turns and could not enter the finder, etc. Did a hard reboot. Now the computer does not start. I get the apple journal and the bar for a minute or two and then a zero symbol IE forbidden - a circle with a line through it.

Surprisingly, it is less than two months after a similar disaster where the computer would not suddenly start. In this case, I was able to get repaired the program apple logic board (the problem was compatible with the congenital fail GPU result).

Incredibly this time the macbook seems to be in even worse shape. I don't get anything useful from the startup keys.

cmd R - take me in a gray screen no symbol

D - no symbol grey screen

option D - it took a while but eventually I got to choose the network, then it seemed to freeze on the globe

option - strangely this brings me to a screen asking me to choose the wireless network, but it does not all networks in the box. weird - this happens even with a simple bootable usb key

option cmd R - annoys me to the world, but the world does not revolve

T - puts me the screen of the target disk, but the disk is unreadable from another computer

cmd S / cmd V - gives me a code screen and then freezes

Shift - takes me to zero cross again

C - think for awhile, but let me on an undefined gray screen

(I need some advice on the start-up of the thumb. Pressing C should force the startup of the thumb. I did an inch bootable with el capitan. However, I am not convinced that my thumb works on a functional mac either - I just can't get a macbook functional 2009 to start the boost by pressing C, although it starts from the thumb if I press option and go through the menu. Weird.)

Help, please. Urgent need to use the computer and access the data on it.

  • ISAKMP does not start after charging

    Hello world:

We have a router Cisco 1841, acting as a member of the group in a GETVPN network. When this router reloads, ISAKMP process remains always OFF (% CRYPTO-6-ISAKMP_ON_OFF: ISAKMP is DISABLED) and only begin this process until we have forced through a command clear crypto gdoi or manually turn the off/on card crypto on the interface, if Phase 1 never start and the GM never register on KS. Other members of the group in the network does not have this problem and is the same ISAKMP policy and configuration of GDOI.

All routers in the nerwork have the same IOS (C1841-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4 (15) T8, VERSION of the SOFTWARE (fc3)) but this problem is only present on a router.

a debug crypto isakmp has been issued on the weird router but it didn't show any information because ISAKMP is stuck. After we order clearly crypto gdoi, ISAKMP begins the negotiation and authentication and the SA is finally established.

It's the router log after you issue a reload command:

    Hello

There is a known issue with GETVPN resolved in 12.4 (15) T10:

    http://Tools.Cisco.com/support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsv29424

This causes the router does not save with the KS after a reload. However, it is specific to a configuration GETVPN, what 12.4 mainline code does not support. I suggest that you open a TAC case for studying it.

    Thank you
