  I had to restart my laptop and re-install xp and therefore all the drivers. I lived the complete list of the network in the list provided but still drivers cannot get the wifi switch to work.

• 2009 iMac 21.5 does not illuminate

  My 2009 iMac monitor is black and does not illuminate.  It has been connected to different computers, macbook pro and a mac mini with the same result. Is there something that can be done or is it just toast?

  Try to zap the PRAM or reset the SMC.

  I'm the battery charge with the strings that came with it and a wall socket in good condition. The indicator flashes yellow. I will continue to read the forums, but none seemed identical to that.

  The device seems intact, unharmed. Customer does not have knowledge of the condition/battery maintenance. Asked about this, he said, the wires are all here - and it is plugged.

  LED flashes orange?
  If you mean the DC-in LED if it flashes orange if the output voltage of the adapter is abnormal or if power outages.
  If you mean the Power LED so it flashes orange while the computer stops if you select sleep mode.
  If you mean battery LED if it flashes orange when the battery reaches a low battery indicator.

  I think you should check if the AC adapter has no malfunction and provide enough power.

  I think you should also try another solution that I found in this forum.
  So to remove the battery and unplug the AC of the laptop and wait form (10-15 min) then several times the battery and connect the AC to the laptop and try to start the laptop.
  Eventually, it helps.

  Last fall it's intermittent start up, I replaced the cmos battery, that fixed.

  Could use some suggestions where to look next.

  I did more reading. Find more on the reset procedure.

  (1) I unpluggged the battery & left overnight.

  (2) in a hurry & has held start button for 1 mniute.

  (3) to replace the battery (new) & start-pressed: the UNIT POWERED UP!

  The PC can take 2 GB of RAM. Here is the Manual:

  However, the delivered operating system is Windows 7 Starter 32 bit that is not able to use a concert. You can install 2 GB and the hardware will support it, but you need to install a different version of Windows. If you already have 8.1 32-bit Windows, you can install 2 GB of RAM and it will work.

  If the time and date is correctly set when the PC is turned on, but the sound is set incorrectly when the PC is powered extinguished/turned on, it is usually a sign that the CMOS battery has failed or has not been installed correctly.

  Verify that the CMOS battery is indeed a good and so its equipped properly.
