  Hi all!

  I have recently switched to my laptop to XP. I had the hardest time finding drivers for the LAN.  So I finally found them and now the connection is always limited or no connectivity when connected via ethernet.

  I tried to release and renew the IP address, but the system is unable to renew it through CMD.  My internet works fine with my other two computers.  I used the same ethernet cable connected to this computer to my laptop and they are all lead to limited connectivity or not.

  I think that the NETWORK card must be replaced, but I can't find the replacement part number.  I don't see the number for the WLAN.  Could this be the same room?  I don't think so, because the wireless is fine, it's just the connection to the LAN which I seem to have a problem with.  I see not even where I can access the bottom of the laptop ethernet card.

  To replace the ethernet card, you will need to replace the motherboard together.

  The link you mentioned (which I answered the way back when), was to replace the wireless network card.

  I recommend that you just buy an adapter USB to RJ-45 ethernet until you buy a new PC.

  To resolve this issue, you must replace the motherboard. The network card or a network location is soldered on the motherboard and cannot be traded.

  Hello!  This morning my Windows 7 (the motherboard Acer) desktop ceased to recognize the wired connection to its network card.  In other words, it shows kind of connection, but notes "no Internet access.  It connects to a surfboard by Motorola through one Ooma hub, although I encounter the same problem when I connect to the desktop directly to the surfboard.  All other devices Wi-wired and that connect to the surfboard are functioning properly.

  Thinking that the Realtek NIC on the motherboard Asus was the problem, I installed a new Trendnet network interface card in the PCI slot.  I disabled the network card to the motherboard via the BIOS settings.  No change.  Always 'no Internet access.

  Time Warner Cable test the modem from their office and said it was working properly.  I also connected a laptop directly to the surf board using the same cable, and he was able to connect to the internet.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

  Recently, I find the wifi on my laptop does not work with projected light orange. I tried hard to stop my laptop, remove the battery and then restart the same thing with resetting the wifi button but of no use. Also with F10 if I enter the configuration for starting it I find exclamation close the my network card with the message that the ability to start will be disabled if the device with the exclamation mark.

  This left me with this delema, as I DO not want to restore my laptop to original factory preload State...

  As you can read in 100 other threads, it of not possible to replace the graphics card because it s fixed/soldered to the motherboard. Therefore, an Exchange is not possible.
  You should also check out this interesting article:

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx Entertainment Notebook and wireless concerns. Your wireless 802 adapter. 11b / g WLAN and the adapter technology is still used. So I don't think you should change your adapter, no.

  You may need to update the driver. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system.

  And no to TV wireless connection, the laptop does not have the ability.
