Compatibility for ATC - 605

Hello

I have two questions about the compatibility of the ATC-605 (http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/acer-acer-aspire-atc-605-desktop-pc-intel-core-i5-4440-1tb-hd...)

Thank you in advance. Please respond even if you may be able to answer any of them.

1. possibility to upgrade graphics card with 600W POWER supply or 750W. I saw a related topic. However, according to Acer, power supply maximum power is 300W. So are common PSUS with a higher power (for example, 600/750W) compatible with this motherboard? Appropriate in this firm? What is the form factor for this system? A higher power will burn everything ?

2. the current DDR3 - 1600 PC3 - 12800 RAM compatible with this card?

3 virtualization is supported? I ask because the Chipset Intel H81 coming with it does not support, it seems? What is the meaning of H81 of Intel Chipset (Intel® DH82H81 PCH)?

4 warranty policy for the upgrade of the desktop computer. I would like to know if the upgrade memory voids the warranty? I'm guessing that the graphics card and PSU upgrade will void the warranty? I ask because I bought the system only recently

Thank you

Jerry

Hi, Jerry

1. Yes, any power supply will fit this PC and will be fully compatible. The higher power will not burn anything, the parts inside of only take power they need!

2. not necessarily. Best thing to do is run a scanner as Crucial. This will tell you everything you need to know, and will make recommendations for you.

3. According to the Intel Web site - H81 chipset does not support virtualization.

4. usually, opening a PC still under warranty is void. Check your warranty for all exceptions guide or contact Acer support to see if they can advise.

Is there an ETA on how Acer will release the new update driver HD4600 in their driver downloads? Recently, Intel has released a new driver who "apparently" solves this problem of sleep for HDMI screens connected. The problem with the current driver for ATC-605-UR13 on the Acer website to download it, it's that the monitor sleep properly. The monitor remains lit from the rear in mode "Eve". The monitor will be finally of force when the computer sleeps. Drivers graphics Intel HD4600 Acer has on its Web site is VERY OLD for the ATC-605-UR13 with i5 4440. On the Acer site, there is an updated driver included with management engine, but that the driver software is only for Intel processors with PRO - V... for example i7 4770. It won't work for my Acer with i5 because it lacks the PRO - V technology. A message error refusing installation confirms that the management don't engine not for i5 4440. In addition to the problem of sleep apparently solved HDMI monitor, the new driver Intel HD4600 has more settings for significantly improved performance. My request is for Acer to test (and approve if all goes well) the new intel driver HD4600. And then do this driver available for download on their Web site. At this time, the generic Intel HD4600 driver is blocked for installation on my computer and includes an error message while not approved (by Acer). Thank you.

Just a follow-up. I did go ahead and force the driver update using the "have disk". The computer works now. No problem with the new driver Intel HD4600. My HDMI monitor now sleeps as it is supposed to. I have not tested with games or video editing performance improvements, etc... purpose of my tests of short of two hours, the driver is definitely an improvement.

  • What should be the compatibility for windows 7 32 bit setting

Recently, my computer guy me from Internet Explorer to Firefox. Since then, I had problems with the computer overheating. In my view, it relates to the Flash player used to play games on facebook. I researched and found others have had problems with that also. In my research, I looked properties Firefox and found that the compatibility settings display Windows xpService Pack 3 and wonder why the setting is not Windows 7.

I researched and found the CPU is much higher percentage and my computer overheats certainly when I use the flash player, play games. Properties setting may be wrong and would that be the problem. If this isn't the case, any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you

Philipp... When I looked at the setting... .even though he said XP box has not been checked, and so I would like to now since you said that... assume it was not implemented... so I'll leave it as it is... not checked for nothing... I guess that part is a false problem... Thanks a lot for your help... Diane

  • I NEED TO KNOW WHY THE _ THERE IS NO COMPATIBILITY FOR WINDOWS XP MODE 7 HOME PREMIUM EDITION. AND WHY HAVE WE NOT "WAGES" TO ASK FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS AFTER THAT WE PAID HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR THE SOFTWARE?

I PAID A LOT FOR NEW WINDOWS IN NOVEMBER LAST, AND I ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FREE SUPPORT?  THAT BREATH!  TEXAS INSTRUMENTS GOT GREEDY IN THE 1980S AND TOYOTA IS GOURMAND RECENTLY, NOW THEY'RE LOOKING AT BANKRUPTCY!

SO MY QUESTION IS IS THERE A DEMO FOR LATER VERSIONS OF WINDOWS 7? BECAUSE I NEED OBVIOUSLY BUT XP COMPATIBILITY MODE I WANT TO BE 100% CERTAIN THAT THIS WILL FIX THE PROBLEM OF MY GAMES CRASHING THE SYSTEM WHICH REQUIRES A REBOOT.

FOR MICROSOFT REAL, JUST HOW GREEDY YOU NEED BE?

I ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FREE SUPPORT?

If you buy retail (non OEM) then Microsoft generally taking care for the first two free incidents. Please consult the documentation provided with your copy of Windows 7.

IS THERE A DEMO FOR LATER VERSIONS OF WINDOWS 7?

I think that the only DEMO of Windows 7 available currently is approved specifically for the IT professionals. The demo lasts 90 days, but I "think" that Microsoft recommends that you be part of a company to participate. I don't know how they would feel if the average end user participated in the demonstration program.

I NEED OBVIOUSLY BUT XP COMPATIBILITY MODE I WANT TO BE 100% CERTAIN THAT THIS WILL FIX THE PROBLEM OF MY GAMES CRASH THE SYSTEM

I don't 'think' the XP COMPATIBILITY MODE in Windows 7 will help you a lot. I "think" it uses Para-virtualization, which is unfortunately too slow for almost all games. I was able to run some software in a virtualized copy of Win XP, but the software was not a lot of resources like computer games is.

I am surprised that your games break in Windows 7. I run 32 Bit Win XP Pro SP3 here at home, but I have recently built a machine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with 4 GB of RAM for my mother and it seems to work. My mother runs a Sims 3 and Sims 1 without problems, but Sims 2 gave here a few rendering problems that I don't think are associated with Windows 7.

I recommend that players stick with Windows 7. Although there are other available operating systems, Windows 7 is probably the best operating system currently available to players. High compatibility and DirectX 10 + Support + 4 GB of RAM (or more) supported in Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit make Windows 7 a good set of OS. Trust the creators of the XBox of world-class, Super Sidewinder Joystick and high-speed Direct X technology.

BTW: Now you can upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro for only $ 90

    http://store.Microsoft.com/Microsoft/Windows-Anytime-Upgrade-Windows-7-Home-Premium-to-professional/product/C562285E

Probably upgrade will not make your game better, but it will give you the possibility to have a safer computer.

    Final note:

I wish Microsoft could release a Version of Visual Studio 2010 Standard... Who doesn't have my feathers ruffled a little because I can't see paying $800 for a compiler...

  • compatibility for windows 7 and the weather channel desktop application

I tried to download the weather channel for my office application, but because I have windows 7, they are not compatible.  The Compatibility Wizard recommended I go to the XP version, but it did not work. While I tried to do it manually, when this does not work, I hit the Web, but apparently nobody had this problem but me.  This thing STINKS full compatibility!  Can anyone help?

    Hello

What happens when you try to install the application by changing the level of compatibility to Windows XP mode? You receive an error message?

Method 1: You can try to install the application at boot and check.

Note: After installation, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 2: You can try to install the app to re download the app again.

  • ESXi 5 provides a great compatibility for several NIC?

    Hi all

This is my first time to vSphere install, and I want to configure a vSphere cluster with a vCenter server, ESXi 12 and a central storage 5.

I intend to use 6 NIC for each ESXi, its use is less than

    eth0 for vCenter/ESXi management

    eth1 for vMotion

eth2 and eth3 to VM networks

    ETH4 & eth5 for iSCSI (multi-path)

What worries me is the compatibility of multiple ESXi 5 NIC. all 6 of my ESXi NIC are Intel (2 exist on the motherboard, 4 from the Intel PCI-E network card)

Intel® 82575EB Dual - Port Gigabit Ethernet Controller (motherboard)
PRO/1000ET four-port network adapter for the server (network card)

    Here are my questions:

    1. ESXi will still perform well? There is no bad effect of multiple ESXi of NIC? (It is generally understood that this NETWORK 4 ports card will consume a lot of CPU and memory)
    2. Can I have 'real' advantage of multiple NIC? There are many examples of books about vSphere implement, that we would make better use of each NETWORK card based on different functions, so several NIC is a good recommendation. Is it really a best practice in the actual implementation of vSphere? or even a golden rule to follow?

Any response will be highly appreciated and useful to me.

Because of the lag time (I'm in China), please execue if I so can't quickly at the time.

    Johnny

Your design concept of NIC has merit. The following link is a design article about 6 implementations NIC for vSphere 5 using IP storage:

    http://vrif.blogspot.com/2011/10/VMware-vSphere-5-host-network-design-6.html

For a procedure step by step on iSCSI SAN Setup and configuration are trying the following (remember that this article is for vSphere 4.x):

  • No compatibility for FLAs AS2? Absurd.

Will you consider adding compatibility please?

The dark interface - love been waited long for it in fact. Didn't know why it happened not when Photoshop got it. But very disappointed that I can not open FLAs with AS2 in them, an update, and simply export regularize them.

Yes Yes... I've heard - Adobe 'can't' AS2. But this does not mean that the new products we pay for should have zero 'compatibility' with our previous work. Opening, changing and closing an AS2-based FLA file does not mean that I refuse to get on board with AS3 after 1 million years. It is a simple necessity. I prefer AS3 coding in AS2. I get the focus on the last script rev. I get that he uses the best VM that runs 10 times more effectively blah blah - so better mobile etc. (probably the motivation here). So, is more 'support' programmers AS2 - like being there to help/encourage those who still write it etc - is understandable at this stage. BUT to turn off the ability to open a file inherited with AS2 inside - perform simple Assembly and re-export - is a horrible decision. This is just a real-world example of why.

The group I work with has developed HUNDREDS of modules and learning tools over the last DECADE, the use of the Flash. Some of the tools are complex interactive games etc. - that require updates from time to time according to the requests. Am I supposed to recode them entirely so I can use my new software? This as opposed to spend 15 minutes on an update and export? Each lesson module uses a shell coded AS2 designed custom which load - average - swf files - external environment of 30-50 all coded AS2 themselves because shells cannot load AS3. To go back and reprogram the shells themselves (very complex), as well as all the interactivity and the videos and the buttons and the audio and stable which is inside these environment-load files swf (numbering of thousands probably) would be a huge and absurdly unnecessary company. They need regularly to small or tiny updates of their content - simple text changes here and there even - previously taking only minutes to perform. Now, if I export the swf file, it will be AS3 and will not work. These updates are made regularly. Are we supposed to now say hey 'guess - customer - what - your stuff must be completely reorganized for no good reason - though even it works beautifully as-is'? I can't even open a FLA and export it on if there a AS2 in it? I don't expect Adobe 'support' with regard to the new AS2 projects, but backward "compatibility" is another thing. Some people have a ton of work still used on a regular basis that was written before the AS3 being the norm - and the customers don't care about AS3 - they care about their budgets.

I'll have to keep Flash CS6 installed apparently, though even I pay 50 dollars per month for the CC Flash. -for many of us interactive devs, who build things for government contracts or large companies that still work in IE7 and IE8 in all of their societies (with no intent to update at any time in the near future - it seems) have no choice other than Flash, so we still have an incredible amount of time in this tool. I can't just deport static images in steps down to these guys with my on-board software animate magic. Very good product too - which I use for other things - but not the silver bullet of animation in line/interactivity by any stretch of the imagination.

    SOLUTION.

Install Flash CS6 through creative cloud.

Open the creative cloud. Highlight the apps not installed. Above them, there is bar. Click on the text in blue on the right and choose 'previous Version '. Then click on 'Install' related to Flash and choose CS6.

Look at how. Click on the link below.

  • Why does Firefox 5 keep runing whenever I start it control of compatibility for addons?

I've just updated to Firefox 5 and now everytime I open the browser, it works an add on compatibility check, even if I have not installed all the new add ons. It also opens the "Welcome to Firefox 5' ('NEWS') each tab and never time.

Try to remove compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder.

Who should initiate the compatibility, but if all goes well he does return next time.

If this does not work then try a new profile.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See basic troubleshooting: make a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

  • Updated compatibility for 2009 MacBook?

I have a MacBook OSX Snow Leopard - I forgot the exact date of the purchase, but the hard drive says that it was created in August 2009.

I did not expect to be able to improve as much as OSX El Capitan and surprised a few weeks ago to receive a message reminding me that it was an option.

Read the information I feel that only MacBook since early 2009 are compatible. Would anyone please be able to clarify this for me?

  • TPT2 - compatibility for Wireless display (WIDI)

Does anyone know if the Thinkpad Tablet 2 does support Wireless display (Widi)? Found something on google that Widi is not limited to core i processors. However the official side of intel does not list the z2760 of the atom as supported.

If not supported: any ideas how video stream to my TV (wireless). DLNA is used for all stored on the NAS, but for youtube etc this way is not very practical.

The wireless in the tpt2 card is not a processor intel one, and so it does not support widi.
