TPT2 - compatibility for Wireless display (WIDI)

Does anyone know if the Thinkpad Tablet 2 does support Wireless display (Widi)? Found something on google that Widi is not limited to core i processors. However the official side of intel does not list the z2760 of the atom as supported.

If not supported: any ideas how video stream to my TV (wireless). DLNA is used for all stored on the NAS, but for youtube etc this way is not very practical.

The wireless in the tpt2 card is not a processor intel one, and so it does not support widi.

Hi RJJB and welcome to the Lenovo user community!

The 230 X uses a PCI Express Mini Card LAN wireless.

You can't get the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200 for X 230, but you can get an Intel 6250 or 6300.

In the United States they can be purchased from IBM.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello

To be honest, I never tried to connect my laptop to the TV with Intel® Wireless Display, but I found some information on the page from Intel:
    http://www.Intel.de/content/www/de/de/architecture-and-technology/Intel-wireless-display.html

Here's a nice HowTo movie created by Intel:
    http://communities.Intel.com/Community/Tech/intel_widi

    But the requirements are:

    CPU Core i7 - 620 M, i5 - 540 M, i5 - 520 M, i5 - 430 M, i3 - 350 M and i5 - 330 M
    In addition, you need Intel HM57, HM55-, - QM57 - or - QS57 - chipset
    And preinsatlled Windows 7.

Should check this with your laptop!

Your desktop PC specifications say nothing about Intel WiDi constituting a trait. Of the specification, it is not part of all of the function that the Office was delivered with.

  • Qosmio F750-Q10 - how to use Intel Wireless Display

    Hi all

My apologies if this has been posted somewhere but I can't find it if it has.

I have a Qosmio F750-Q10 laptop and have recently bought a Toshiba LED Smart TV, which includes the Intel Wireless Display.

I wonder if my laptop is able to use this piece of software that I tried to download the software from the Intel Web site and tried to install one.

    However, when I try to install, I get the error message;
    "Abandoned InstallShield.

This platform is not compatible with Intel Wireless Display"

Can someone shed light on this for me please?

    Thank you
    Steve

Intel is the leading company behind this feature and they have a very nice document describing the necessary components and software to be able to implement the WiDi.

    You can find it here:

  • Toshiba 40TL938 - connection Intel Wireless Display does not work

    Hi all

    Recently, I bought a Toshiba 40TL938 TV.

As far as I understand it's WiDi capable so there WiDi adapter receiver bulit and could function as a wireless display.

I managed to test the WiDi connection and tried with my portable Leovo T420, who is also capable of WiDi.

I installed all the updates for gfx and wifi, activated my Wifi addon and installed Intel WiDi application. This is all required and everything went well.

I've updated the software in my TV for last available via Wifi update (July 2013)

Unfortunately - no success at all. Laptop is not TV. The TV Setup is quite obvious and sophisticated couldn't do anything there.

TV is able to connect to my wifi network and see T420 on network (because he sees as DLNA network drive). Computers laptops direct Wifi works well with other devices.

Is there something I don't understand or hurt? Is TL938 WiDi capable because he has receiver WiDi built in or it is just compatible with external dongles WiDi?

If the answer is yes then the second question technical specification for this TV is very bad - it's not WiDi enabled TV at all and it is misleading.

    Welcome,
    Tomek

    Hello

The TV is certainly capable of Intel WiDi.

You said your Intel driver and tools are p so far, but I would still recommend check update of Intel Support page:
    http://www.Intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/wireless-display

Utility the Intel® driver update keeps your system up-to-date. It detects the drivers and software updates related to your computer, and then helps you install them quickly and easily.

  • Iconia W510 no option to add Wireless Display

Hi, it does not seem possible to use Miracast with my W510 Iconia.  I have updated Windows 8 to 8.1 as soon as he was released and apply automatic updates.   I have checked and have all the updated drivers. However, when you open the Panel of charms, choosing devices then the project - it is not an option to add Wireless Display.

I guess it's something that "should" be.

It goes the same for our laptop Acer Aspire V5-552.

Not all models support Widi, which perhaps explains why you do not have the option. According to this link (http://www.umpcportal.com/2012/12/acer-w510-and-clovertrail-overview-video-and-first-impressions-alw... this product is not compatible Widi.

'Add a wireless display' does not appear in the project.

Your system is not compatible WiDi, wireless itself card does not meet the criteria listed on theIntel site.

With respect to the part number of the system, it's the first 10 chracters of serial number; just for future use, if you need to give it.
