Compatibility GPS NB200-122 win 7

Hi all

I've upgraded from Windows XP Home edition to Win 7 and am very satisfied.

I had a problem with the connection manager. Paupau has solved it for me. I thought that I had all the compatibility issues resolved. I noticed today that I have a small question (hopefully last). The connection manager told me that the GPS is not supported. I found a driver on the site of Toshiba Win 7 but it did not help.

Can anyone help please?

Which GPS device do you use?

It's a USB device?

After a thorough search on the web, consider that it is not possible to use the internal camera.

Am wrong me or are there workarounds to use?

    Hello

Chicony software is not the model of laptop.
Choose the Chicony for Win7 software that has been released for other series of laptop.
    It should work fine.

  • NB200 122 - what battery 6 cells is compatible?

    Just a question.

I bought a NB200 122 because he had 3G and the processor was a little faster than others with 1.66 Ghz.
The battery that comes with it is a 3 cell which lasts about 3 hours.
I was envious of the battery 6 cells in the model 10J NB200, I think, which is supposed to last for 9 hours.

These batteries are both compatible with my netbook, I want to say can I buy a 6 cell and use it without any problems or dangers?

    Thankss a lot in advance.

    Mohamed

    Hello

I think you can use these battery 6 cells in the two booklets since the 10J NB200 and NB200 122 belong to the same series which is PLL25E.

So I see no good reason for the battery 6 cells are not compatible with the NB200 122

    See you soon

  • PathAway for NB200-122

My NB200 supports 3G, I inserted a SIM card of twins in it and it works well. The GPS also works very well and gives me the coordinates of where I am. However, as stated in the user manual, there is no navigation software installed.

What would be the appropriate software to install on the netbook? Do a search shows me application for mobile phones and dedicated GPS devices.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Mohamed

As far as I know Toshiba doesn't offer any software of navigation, so you need to check navigation applications are available for use with laptops.
Visiting a few forums where you can read the experiences of people who use it and make a decision that is best for you.

All of us have some specific criteria for this stuff and my favorite program doesn't have to be the right one for you.
If you take decision please let us know the one that you want to use. I believe that you are the first person with this issue and it will be interesting to read something about your experiences with the 3 G, GPS and navigation using laptop.

  • NB200 122 - loading using the battery power options

    Dear all

I recently bought a Toshiba NB 200-122 Mini Netbook, I tried to use all the power options (full power)... always shows 15% battery (charge) even if I kept it charging for a day in hibernation mode... (when connected to the power unit).

Other laptops would be fully load 100% when it is connected to the unit of power for one day...

Why the netbook battery is slow or not clean load?...
Or other options with her... Or having to drain the battery completely and use it...

Could someone suggest me some advice about this...

    Thank you

    regards Sarah

    Hi Sarah,.

I agree with the user above. You should try a BIOS update you can find the Toshiba site. Before applying it, close all programs running also your antivirus and firewall and make sure that you are logged on as administrator.

In the worst case you battery is damaged or some cells in it. You can get a spare to an authorized service provider.

  • Question about the compatibility of the drivers Win XP for Satellite L40 - 12 K PSL4E

When you try to change my laptop from Vista to XP I don't find the drivers.

However I found the driver for the same model, but PSL48, 49, 4B and 4 c. Could someone confirm that these drivers also work with my laptop PSL4E? Thank you/rgds. Sonia

In general, you can install these drivers, BUT you should also check the chip chart and other devices like for example the wireless network card.
Many laptops are equipped with different graphic chip or other card WLan so in this case you should pay attention to these differences.

  • Driver chipset for A60-122 and Windows XP Pro

    Hi all.
I'm trying to upgrade my Satatellite A60 - 122 win XP Home Edition to Win XP Pro.
I downloaded the new version of the drivers that I need after the installation of operating system directly from the site, I also download and print the order to put them in my computer, but the first item is already a problem: THE CHIPSET UTILITY.
First of all, I expect to supply the operating system with the Chipset driver, not utilities.
Then I looked everywhere chiset driver, but nothing.
I also called the Italian help asking about the Center. The only thing that they where able to give me was the code number which is ATRS250M + SB200-(1XP150); It's the only thing that the operator had, not even the name of chipset (intel I guess but which?) and it's not chipset name for sure.
    So... the question is:
Where can I download the correct chipset driver? I know that www.intel.com is the answer, but what chipset is used in my notebook?
Is the utility chipset drivers or not?
Where they are... they do not work, as soon as I start, the program says that it has detected the wrong OS and then it closes. Well, I know that Toshiba loaded only the Home version, but...
Can someone help me with this?

    Hello

I can understand that you're a little irritated, but there is no reason for this. I hope that I can help you.

First of all, I assume that you have the Tools & Utilities CD and there are all the drivers you need for your laptop. Do not download all the drivers. All the drivers on your CD should work with Windows XP Home edition Professional. Order of installation is important, but it is known to you. I don't know, but the order of installation is also described somewhere on this CD.

What is interesting to me is what CD do you use to install the OS? Is this the full version of Microsoft?

I must also say that you cannot wait you become a pilot with OS. OS and chipset driver are two different things, and they belong together.

I repeat that you should not download anything. Install the OS and then install the display driver, chipset driver, driver sound and so on.

Try again and if you have some problems let me know.

    Good bye

  • Satellite C660-24F: win 10 BSOD - system thread exception unhandled

I upgraded my Toshiba Satellite C660-24F to windows 10 pro. After the upgrade it restarts again and again showing the dead blue screen with the message
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. (athwbx.sys). How can I get rid of this error?

athwbx.sys which is mentioned in your message, belongs to the Atheros WLan driver...

So, I think that the BSOD appeared because of compatibility problems between the Win 10 and driver Atheros...

    Possible solution:

I think that deletion of the Atheros driver in Device Manager should help you to solve this...

Please keep the device connected to the internet using LAN.

So after uninstalling the Atheros WLan driver and you restarted the laptop, Win 10 should automatically find a driver compatible WLan to internet automatically...

  • "Invalid serial number" when you install utilities Toshiba NB200-h-13

This model (h-13) is the student edition sponsored by the Government, used by thousands of Greek students and is not in the support downloads.

I made a new partition and installed XP Pro SP3, in addition to the standard XP Home. I downloaded all the drivers for the model printed on the label number (PLL25E-00401WMG, which I assume is NB200-122 in the Driver Downloads).

Most of the important Toshiba Utilities (value of hardware setup, Hotkey, added the logical device) terminate with the error "bad serial number.

As the Toshiba Utilities work fine in the standard installation (old)

    1. is there a way to bypass the check for the installation of utilities Toshiba serial number?

2 are there downloads Toshiba NB200-h-13?

I did some readings from my previous post. It seems that in the 2nd installation of XP the Toshiba utility cannot read the DMI information stored in EEPROM memory, containing the serial number and model of the device. This is demonstrated by the fact that the Diagnostics Toshiba PC utility reports "Unknown" for the standard model, etc.

As a result, a third question emerges, which is absent from the new installation of XP that allows to read the DMI Info? I guess I should investigate all the services that are running in the original installation of XP, but my bet is that utilities that install these services are not accessible to the public.

The same utilities install perfectly under Windows 7 (Yes, I did another partition and it installed Windows 7). This means that Win7 has in DMI information tools, or Toshiba 7 installers do not check for her.

Always in the hope of some clues to the community.

    Hello

First, I'm sorry but I speak very well English... (French)

I have the problem with the sound system when I play music or video...
The sound of the volume "up and down" every time...

I disabled all the improvements of sounds and its volume is present, but not bass...

I've updated the sound driver with some versions, actually, I use 4.121.0.60 but nothing is...

    Thank you

    X 500-122 - Win 7 64 bit

How much time do you have your laptop Qosmio?
Have you noticed that on the first day or later?
Have you noticed this up and down when you want to change the volume level or that happen only while watching the movie or listen to music?

I've seen some think similar on the brothers Win7 P300 preinstalled, but this happens only when he wants to change the volume level using the volume knob.

If you redefine the parameters of sound improvements with a default doesn't do this is starting to happen again.

  • Why not Win 7 search easily or reliably find files from subfolder and file specified?

I've been using Windows for a while now, since version 2.x. I am currently using Windows 7 64 bit. I need to find a file. Not exactly rocket science. Let's say it's fichier.ext. I know that one or more copies of filename.ext reside inside or under C:\folder\subfolder1.

So I open C:\folder\subfolder1 in Windows File Explorer. I press {COMMAND} + {e} for the search box and type filename.ext, then {ENTER}. The search returns 99 items. Unfortunately, 98 of them are not named fichier.ext. It sucks, but whatever. 98 results for the most part irrelevant are sorted by ascending file name. UH... I know by running DIR/s that there are actually 7 files named filename.ext residing in these subfolders. But Windows 7 search gave only 1 of them. The resolution of the problems of research said that everything was fine. All seem to have file system permissions. So here I am with 1 relevant result and literally 98 irrelevant results. It sucks. The files are not hidden. ATTRIB shows that they hear only the flags of A (rchive). I can find no reason why search gave no relevant results 98, yet returned only 1 of 7 planned relevant results. No, I'm starting to do this just to write a rant on the search for Win 7. I wanted just to finish a task, which would have been relatively easy in all previous versions of Windows, I used.

Given that the search for C:\folder\subfolder1 does not work, I try searching for C:\. Guess what. 43 items returned, and only 34 of the results are irrelevant. From C:\, search found 7 all the relevant files. It's a Festivus miracle! But how a top-level folder got no less relevant results, but most relevant results doesn't make much sense.

16% of the relevant results are grouped because they are sorted by filename ascending. Now, the company, right? I want the full path and the name of each of the 7 compliant files that I know exist. Who do not ask too, right? Except that there is no way to copy the text in the column of the file. And the text in the folder column is absurd anyway. The folder column shows "subfolder5 (C:\Folder\Subfolder1\Subfolder2\Subfolder3\Subfolder4). Why on Earth is subfolder5 on the left? And there is no place I can copy the path. OK, no problem, I'll just do a right click and open the file location. In fact I use {SHIFT} + {F10}, {i} instead of Right-Click, but it's because I have old habits when there was usually effective ways of doing things in Windows using the keyboard.

Thus, opens the folder containing my first relevant result. {ALT} + {d} which brings me to the address bar, where I already have the full path. Now I just type "\" and the first characters of the file name and it completes automatically. {COMMAND} + {a}, {COMMAND} + {c} and it is all copied to the Clipboard. Yay, I got my first string path\filename successfully, so I can really accomplish something. I launch an instance of Notepad and paste it in for later use. Now back to my remaining 6 to search relevant results... Hmmm... {ALT} + {left} does nothing. Focus changes often without apparent reason in Win 7 files and the Search Explorer, which prevents the work strikes. So I move the mouse and click the left arrow to go back to my 6 other relevant results. That's when I find that search threw all the results. I have to wait while it does search through each file under C:\. Ugh.

In an effort to avoid having to search several times C:\ 5 times more unnecessarily for fichier.ext, I'm thinking maybe I can click the button start and try to type here, let semi-automatic paths as I type the content of the column of the file. It does not, because the start menu obscures my 7 relevant results. I later I knew that even if they are hidden, I could select the relevant 7 of 99 total results and the selection color stick while the start menu hidden items in the name column. But in the end, the fastest way to get the 7 paths was actually copy via the mode prompt QuickEdit on DIR /S FILENAME command. Results of the EXT. I mean, really?

Windows search cannot locate surely known names of files in a subfolder that is known? Win7 search not only gave me 98 irrelevant results, but also failed to find 6 of the 7 specified files. How screwed is that? But DIR/s gave me no irrelevant results at all and find files with 100% reliability. Does this strike anyone as being a little... uh... bad?

Find names of files specified in a specified subfolder does not appear as a rare user scenario. Simply how to find a record of a known file in a known subfolder name seems ridiculously too complicated in Windows 7.

Now, there is a _ a lot of good things on Win 7. My favorite features are probably support for multiple processors, accident of insulation, and the incredible improvements in design and material compatibility layer makes this Win 3.x prey. But please, I seriously hope that someone will take a look at some of the pieces of this real scenario common and try to improve things in a future service pack or something? Pretty please?

Noel, thanks for the great suggestion! I * never * would have discovered the ' file name: ' filter with the help of Windows.

I had no idea that there was a search syntax. It seems totally weird to me that the add a drop-down list box filter search doesn't give IU for update and size filters. I think that corresponding filename deserves its own button there and something to direct users to this overview of query language syntax.

It's really great to know adding "leader:" to restrict the results to only compliant file names. I am completely floored that it is completely impossible. I would * NEVER * have discovered that the link of query syntax. There is no link between the search Help topics. Windows Search 4.0 is somewhat a component name internally. As an end-user of Windows 7, I consider that the search for files to be an integral part of the operating system. I would have never thought to search for help on "Windows Search 4.0". FYI - I just went to the research, a help file topic or a folder and a suggestion to make a link to the news of search query to win 4 left.

I fiddled with the columns, remove the folder column and replacing it with the much more logical folder path column. I was happy to find that the next time I opened a search for C:\, the path of the folder column persisted.

When I search libraries, I have the search box offers some filters, like, Date of modification, Type, name, path, Tags. This never was told to the "queue:" filter that I needed. The "name:" filter only appears when searching for my libraries, do not then the research to another part of my drive. Research on "name:filename.ext" returns all files where {(extention == «ext») & (filename contains "filename")}, for example, returns 'fu_filename.ext', 'filename_bar.ext', 'fu_filename_bar.ext', etc.

In the results, the context menu doesn't give me a copy as path option. The closest I can find is going to file properties, I can manually copy the contents of the location.

Rest of questions that I hope THAT MSFT would consider to improve:

    1. "file name:" filter is totally impossible, causing in search of filename otherwise quick to take minimum two times longer, useless due to analysis of the content of the file.

    2. DIR /S C:\FILENAME. EXT runs twice faster than Win with essential Search but impossible ' file name: ' filter, often up to 8 times faster than without the discoverable ' filename: ' filter.

    3. DIR /S C:\FILENAME. POST do not clutter results with files whose content contains the string.

    4. DIR /S C:\FILENAME. Reliable EXT returns all the relevant results.

    5. I can copy each path of results returned by DIR /S C:\FILENAME. POST in a single step (with QuickEdit active guest).

It's not too terribly demanding to expect a file search v7 o/s to at least on par with the performance and ease of use of a query of type MS-MS-DOS age 30 is?
