Compatibility of the PSU

I bought a HP p6520f today and a diamond Radeon HD 4670 1024 mb GDDR3. The seller told me that none of their PSUS would fit this case, so I skipped that for the moment and I would check out newegg for one of thought.

I had two questions.

(1) can I run this GPU in the case without a new power supply (current is 250w HP stock) until I have buy a little time?

(2) what food should I buy that will adapt to this case, the card says he recommended 400w +, but I know it's usually overstated.

Thank you very much for your help!

Power cord will be different. He seems to have the automatic voltage recognition.  If all goes well, also, this cycle of 50-60.

  • Pavilion 550-151na: the PSU and GPU upgrade for my 550-151na?

What would you recommend I bought this as my first PC and I am under the understanding I can't upgrade my GPU because the PSU is not able to manage up to what would work with that PC? I'll do it when I can, but I would like to know. If I can't I will return the PC when it happens and buy a PC from Dell Alienware

This desktop PC has a Μatx PSU with a production capacity of 180 Watts. It is not enough to feed a video PCIe x 16 game card. The PSU Μatx has also no PCIe connector for a video card.

  • Compatibility of the P7 1414 HP Pavilion PC graphics cards

Hey I currently have an AMD Radeon Hd 75600. is it possible that I can put in a new graphics as graphics AMD R7. im a little new to this thing whole lol

You are currently using the video solution that is integrated into the CPU. You have identified your Radeon HD graphics with a zero solution too.

    You can install a PCI-e x 16 video card in the PCI-e x 16 available slot.

Be aware that you probably need to upgrade the PSU.  Almost all the games level video cards requires a power supply 450 Watts or more, and one or two 6 - pin PCIe power connectors to.

Your PC comes with a 300 Watt POWER supply and is unlikely to have the six pin PCIe power power connector (s) required.

A map of 850-2GD5/OC A7 like This MSI requires 6 pin PCI-e power connector.

If your office has secure boot enabled, remember that you will probably have to disable in the BIOS so that the new card work when it is installed.

  • Thanks to RoyalSerpent for the excellent guide on the PSU.

I wanted to add a comment to the page with the guide on this subject, so I started this thread.  I agree that it should be a 'post-it '.

The PSU is the backbone of a computer and the more underrated and misunderstood of the components of the computer, it is good to have this guide.  He save people will award money and painful decisions.  As an overclocer, I learned the value of a power supply of quality several years ago.  I learned from people like RS who were considered experts in the field.  As most average users, I, did not understand how the PSU is important to the overall operation of a computer.  Now, we have a guide to help us determine what we require for the performance of these new CPU and graphics cards.

Thank you, SR.  It is a great gesture!

I have a big smile when I see the other users of the forum pumping PSU $ 100 to run a GPU of intermediate quality.  These experts are probably pour gasoline into the tank when the quality recommended regular unleaded gasoline.  Manufacturers of prey on the ignorance of people to make more of $ whereas they could pay CEO + $4 M a year salary.

Do you think PC vendors would pile more than 4 GB of RAM in the Board of Directors if the memory was expensive?  Same memory-hog VISTA won't shoot no more than 2 GB of physical memory under normal conditions of use.  Too much RAM unused waste electricity.  It takes also a few seconds to start the PC.

In regards to the sticky... don't hold your breath.  This isn't the old HP where engineerig prowless is working #1!

For a while, it worked fine, but recently I couldn't start my computer, then he ran the Setup repair thing and restored to an earlier point. So my wallpaper and the vista swirls and all things strange look as if they were from a previous version. How can I return the normal vista stuff?

    Hi Jellt,

I suggest you follow the methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to change the theme and check if it helps.

Method 2: Try to do a system restore to an earlier date and check if it helps.

  • Inspiron 7348 2-in-1 compatibility with the 16 GB modules

Does anyone have information updated on the compatibility between the 16 GB (as the indispensable CT204864BF160B) simple modules and the laptop 7348 2-in-1? Mine has a 5th gen CPU i7-5500U and is already updated to the latest version of the BIOS A08 published yesterday.

Being a 5th generation Broadwell Intel Core 2 CPU, I think. It is compatible. Its price fell a few days ago at the level of US $ 100, which makes a nice and relatively cheap upgrade.

  • Quality/compatibility of the new hard drive for my laptop

I have a toshiba satellite A105-S2194. I went online to get a replacement from the hard drive. The guy who I spoke to suggested that I get the data of 1 TB 2.5 5400 RPM. I asked if this was no exaggeration for my computer and if she would work with her. He assured me he would. I have windows 7 to load on this subject. My question is. It is true that he did and work in my laptop? It is with Fed - ex delivery and need to know whether to install or send back

The SATA standard is so clearly defined that virtually any disk 2.5 "will work on a laptop. High speed drives (7200 RPM +) could draw in theory more current that might have been specified, even if the newer readers are more effective. With regard to the compatibility of the BIOS limitation of size should not enter up to 2 TB

Even if the laptop is quite old it supports disks more large, Toshiba lists only readers that they mounted but Crucial list upgrades up to 1 TB.

  • How to change the setting of compatibility of the MSI installer?

I am trying to install an MSI file for an application called "Encryption Plus" from the edge of the Guardian.

When I click with the right button on the MSI file and choose compatibility, I'm presented with the checkbox to select "run this program in compatibility mode for:"

But the drop down menu contains NO items. It is an empty list. When I click on it, it does not show Windows Vista, Windows XP SP3, etc., etc., as it should.

If I try to do it on any other exe installation, it well. This happens only with the .msi installation files.

Have you tried to install the file without changing the compatibility first?  If this isn't the case, you may be able to install and then change real compatibility on the exe file of the application (and Windows 7 can do for you automatically if it detects problems with the application).

Hope this helps and have a nice day :)

  • Backward compatibility - migrating the members of 11.1.2.4 to 11.1.2.3 contour?

Good snow shoveling day everyone!  I hope that you have found the right higher training!

Our production ASO cube lies in 11.1.2.3
Our test ASO cube lies in 11.1.2.4
We want to migrate members in the outline of the ASO cube production ASO test.

There is backward compatibility of the migration of members of the contour (migration of members of 11.1.2.4 to 11.1.2.3 contour)?
In other words, we can migrate 11.1.2.4 describe 11.1.2.3 members? Is it a 'backward' migration utility that would allow us to migrate 11.1.2.4 a glimpse back at 11.1.2.3?

Psalm, we know that when we move 11.1.2.3 State to 11.1.2.4, 11.1.2.4 ASO would we require to migrate 11.1.2.3 briefly 11.1.2.4 front.

We have the planning and LCM, but tech support said 11.1.2.4 LCM is not compatible with 11.1.2.3 (aka there are a few bugs).

Otherwise I guess we can use the contour of the OLAP Underground to migrate Extractor.

    Thank you.

    No alcoholic Cheers!

If it is before 11.1.2.3.500, then there will be such issues as pointed out 'Essbase Administration Services (EAS) outline 11.1.2.3.500 to 11.1.2.3.000 empty file Migration Wizard creates (Doc ID 1927334.1).

Migration of a glimpse through earlier versions is certainly risky and you're only going to be clear if it is rebuilt.

  • Software that has a compatibility with the windows operating system 8, applies to windows 8.1system automatically?

I just want to know when you buy a software that has a compatibility with the operating system windows 8, applies to windows 8.1system automatically?

    Former title: compatibility

Yes, he does.  Windows 8.1 is compatible with Windows 8.0.  In fact, it can run almost all programs built for 7, Vista and XP as well.

  • Cannot start Dell Studio XPS 9100 - is the PSU?

These symptoms are compatible with a faulty PSU?

I have a 4 years, processor Dell Studio XPS Desktop Intel i7 960 (expired warranty) 18 GB DIMM: 64 Bit Windows 7 ultimate OS.

Computer will not start. (Dell 0M1J3H 525W) POWER supply has a green LED on the back of the envelope of the computer with a black switch diagnosis. When the computer reads the green light is on.

If I press the Start button nothing happens - the white light on the Start button does not illuminate. But if I press the button to start for at least 12 seconds then release and press it again the logo Dell at the edge of the bezel turns on for a second and the fans turn at 20 degrees, but the computer does not start and there is no light on the Start button. The same thing happens if I press the black test on the power supply switch after the button of start for about 12 seconds. If I quickly press the test switch repeatedly from 40 to 50 times, four fans will turn a little bit but stop as soon as I stop to press the test switch. If a power is to learn in the light of the collar and the fans, but the computer starts and the green light does not go or flash. As directed by Dell, the green light is supposed to be activated when the current flows through the power supply and the green light is supposed to flash if I press the test switch when the computer is turned off.

More Dell' diagnostic instructions I disconnected the motherboard and all the readers and the video card in the PSU, but the test was always negative, that would normally indicate a defective power supply.

However, if the front bezel blinking on and fans to be powered for a fraction of a second, which excludes a failure of the power supply?

GENERAL INFORMATION: One night several months ago fans have started racing as the computer was overclocking but my meter showed only 30% CPU usage. Computer subsequently began to lose power and restart at random times.  No crash dumps or stop. Just a loss of power and a reboot. Sometimes the auto restart would work and sometimes it wouldn't. When the computer restarts will not it will not re-start and there was no light white or orange, when I pressed the Start button. If I hold the start 12 seconds or more and then released it and press start logo collar flash momentarily, but no start and no other light. I would try restarts several times, sometimes by pressing the button start hundreds of times before the computer would finally boot. When you start the computer it would normally sometimes several days before losing power again.

The last restart was more than a week and the computer normally lasted more than a week until yesterday when he lost power.

I think that the power supply may be bad. But the only other time that I replaced a power supply on an old HP Pavilion. In this case, the computer was completely dead. I'm confused by the momentary illumination of the Dell logo on the collar and the shaking of the power to the fans. Which excludes a failure or default PSU?

The button BIST says that the power supply is bad.  The BIST button isn't the power button.

The LED on the back does not mean that the power supply is good.

The BIST (built in Self test) is LED and button are for.

Some Dell computers have power supplies that include a self-diagnostic function. The test for power button is visible at the rear of the system. This witness is not the same as the power led on the chips on the motherboard (which said also only + 5VSB does NOT work the power supply is OK). Press and hold the switch self-diagnosis of food-

  • Backwards compatibility of the CC Lr Lr 5 for temporary subscription

    Hello

I bought Lightroom 5 in November 2014 and I hope temporarily to CC (Lr and Photoshop). This is to make use of the panorama of Lightroom CC and HDR features but also using photoshop to merge images. I only have the demand for these functions to a handful of images, however, and so I'm likely to use the software temporarily for one month subscription.

My concern is the backwards compatibility of the software, and how my Lightroom 5 software is affected by the CC. Will I be able to use CC with my current library and after use it simply continue with Lr 5 and the new images? CC will be autonomous and does not affect my purchased version?

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Matthew

LR CC is not available for a monthly subscription.  You purchase a subscription of $120 / year with a plan to pay $ 10 / month, but for all 12 months, not only for one.

The only way to get a monthly subscription would be to a Single App to the month PS CC subscription for $30 / month.  PS/ACR will be able to do the same HDR and Panos LR, so my suggestion would be to get a subscription in single-app in PS, then make your HDR and Panos and save those 16-bit TIF, then import these objectives into LR 5.
