Compatibillity AVCHD with Premium Pro CS5 file

I first Pro CS5 and pass me my old miniDV camcorder to a new format AVCHD camcorder. I'm used to capture images directly from my old camcorder to tape, but am not familiar with the process of use of files on a flash card. I'll be able to transfer and edit video files easily - and hopefully more fast - compared to the capture of a band? Please advise before investing in the new camcorder. I'm obviously new to this process, so any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

1080 p/24 for conferences and 1080i/30 or 720 p/60 for hockey, the choice of the shooter.

  • Problems with AVCHD and Premiere Pro CS5

    Hello world

I am a rookie with the first and AVCHD format, and this is my first time that I write on this forum. I hope you can help me with the following problem:

I turned of the AVCHD clips in 1920 x 1080, 25 fps. I managed to create a project in first Pro CS5 (not a trial version), but unfortunately, I did the project with preselection of 720 p. After that, I learned that it is wiser to create project 1080i and adjust if necessary export 720 p phase down. Seems reasonable. Well I've started it all again and created a project of 1080i. For some reason I do not understand first do not recognize and import my clips and have not yet created sequence01 (default name) in the project window. Does anyone have an idea why this happened? I tried several times but the results have been as bad as the first time. Yet a 720 p test project has not imported clips. What makes this weirder is that after and hour or so I tried once more and this time everything went well. Everyone knows a similar situation with AVCHD and first CS5? This could be a problem first or did I do something wrong? I use Windows 7 64-bit.

Another thing I thought is that what are the best export affecting export AVCHD 1080i (or 720 p) a project on YouTube? As I found alternatives: mpeg2, mpeg4, H.264, wmv... And is it important if I export the video first or encoder Adobe? In other words, all the tips for successful taken YouTube video are welcome.

    Thanks in advance!

When things go weird reboot pc.

Sequence must correspond to images which in this case his 1080i50.

You choose a preset or drag an item to the new icon.

    To export on YouTube:

Export should make it faster than the queue.

  • 5 different AE comps with Premiere Pro CS5.5 in CS

I just upgraded to CS5.5 this morning. I had worked on a project in Premiere Pro with imported AE comps for lower third titles. After the upgrade, these comps are more transparent - they cover underlying video titles rather than just a bunch of third lower partial opacity. I guess it has to do with a problem with alpha channel? They worked perfectly before the upgrade, does not now. Someone has an idea of what is wrong and what to do about it?

    Thank you!

    Laree

I suppose that by 'imported AE comps for lower third titles', you mean that you use Dynamic Link to import the AE directly in Premiere Pro comps, as opposed to making it first in a file.

We're investigating a problem in first Pro CS5.5 and dynamic links that may be to blame for this.

    Your configuration is the following:

    1. The background color of the After Effects comp is not black.  (Not RGB 0, 0, 0).
    2. Hardware acceleration is enabled for the Mercury playback engine in Premiere Pro.  (Menu project > project settings > general, rendering engine is set to "The Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration".)

If so, you may have stumbled upon the same bug, we're looking at.  Sorry about that.  The cause of the problem is being investigated.

You can work around the problem by doing one of the following:

    • Change the background color of your comp to black. (RGB 0, 0, 0)
    • Only change the rendering engine in Premiere Pro for Mecury reading software engine.

If this problem does not fit your situation, please elaborate on the content and settings of your project, or post some examples to look at us.

  • Need info on taken graphics card supported with pre pro cs5

    Hello

I checked one of information on graphic cards supported on pre pro cs5 on aodbe.com.

    http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/search_result.html?manuSearchVar=1 & modelSearchVar = 0 & supportSearchVar = 0 & brand = & dataFormat = & version = CS5 & device = graphic & format = and buttonSubmit

Under column SUPPORT, it is mentioned for ATI and NVIDIA "Legacy support" and the "full support".

What is the difference in "Legacy support" and the "full support"?

I am not able to understand

    Vinay

To repeat and rephrase the original response:

Premiere Pro uses OpenGL to accelerate the writing of pixels on the screen. This is not new. It is therefore referred to as a "legacy" feature

Premiere Pro uses CUDA to speed up the processing of some effects. It's new. This feature is part of all of the features of performance known under the collective name "Mercury playback engine" ("EMT").

  • Help editing AVCHD in first Pro CS5

I've been editing on Final Cut Pro since 2001 but I plan to move to Premiere Pro. I bought the Production Premium CS5 earlier for AE and Photoshop but not much used Premiere Pro.

I shoot AVCHD and have been transcoding to ProRes 422 to work with him at the FCC.  However, while Final Cut Pro X edit AVCHD without having to transcode to ProRes, it lacks some features that I need.  Then I opened to the top of the first, has imported the .mts files I shot in 1080 p 30 fps, and when I drag the files in the timeline that they need immediately (red bar above them, assuming that this means the same thing as in FCP).  When I visited the images, he plays very well and looks great.  However, when I go then playback is jerky, includes elements of the video to move in "blocks", and it seems that it would be difficult to work with.

I am running CS5 on a new Macbook Pro 15 "with 2.0 ghz quad core i7 and 8 GB of RAM.  Then my what I was wondering it is... that's what everyone feels when they first AVCHD video playback?  Is it possible to edit images without having to make clips in order to obtain a clear image during playback?  I spoke with someone at Adobe briefly, and I think she told me that normally two AVCHD rendered must flow, but a single stream is normally not.  Tell me some good news so that I can take advantage of editing AVCHD natively and not to transcode everything I push.

    Thank you

    Mike

Then I opened to the top of the first, has imported the .mts files I shot in 1080 p 30 fps, and when I drag the files in the timeline that they need immediately (red bar above them, assuming that this means the same thing as in FCP).

No, who does not necessarily mean you have to return, but is the area code of your source footage does not match your sequence. What predefined sequence do you use? You can also drag a clip to the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel to automagically create a sequence that corresponds to your images. And read here to learn more about this that colorful bars mean in the body: Red, yellow and green make bars and what they mean "Premiere Pro workspace .

However, when I go then playback is jerky, includes elements of the video to move in "blocks", and it seems that it would be difficult to work with.

Right click on the program monitor or click on the exit button (three circles) and go to the playback resolution > full. This will force the full resolution of the AVCHD video decoding; requires more system, it will look better. This setting has no effect on the output - it's just for previewing.

Bottom line: you should not have to make. Try the above and report if back is not fix things.

When I try to run SFC/scannow, XP Pro continues to ask for a CD that I don't have.  My XP installation included SP3, so I do not know why the system keeps insisting on CD.  I just downloaded SP3 on the MS site and installed it successfully, but still can't run SFC/scannow.  Ask for CD.  What can I do?  When I downloaded the SP3 from the Web site, I saved on a CD, but system says it's the wrong CD.  What is the good CD, or y at - there a way around this request

I answered my own question.  When I inserted my disk XP Pro w/SP3, it did not matter how many times I clicked retry.  However, I found a link on the Microsoft Web site for XP Home users with a similar problem.  See: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=897128.  Bulletin MS request home users to modify two files in chain, change the 'professional' at 'home '.  Even if I have XP Pro, I edited files string to do the same.  When I re-run SFC/scannow, he proceeded to check all the files on my computer successfully.  He sometimes do a break and made me hit try again about 10 times, but eventually finished the process in about 15 minutes.  Curious, but it does not work.

  • I need assistance with first Pro CC files problem

When I record a video with my camera Canon XF100 for a long time he creates new files every 5 minutes. Continuous gunfire he keeps these separate files in a subfolder until I hit the stop button. When I start it shooting creates a new subfolder and a new file.

Until recently, first Pro CC had read each separately file in a folder under but just recently he started to combine all the... For example, if I was shooting continuously for 15 minutes I would get three minutes 5 filesand first Pro CC would normally see 3 files separate five minutes with their own names of files but recently he will see 3 files, every 15 minutes in the lenghth and each with the same content even though they have different file names.

All the world experienced this, and if so, do you have a solution?

    Thank you

  • Codecs to generate AVI with Premiere Pro CS4 files?

I would like some feedback on which codecs you think are the best to generate AVI files. I tend to use Microsoft Video 9 or Indeo 5.10 for most exporters of my AVI, but I was wondering if there are traps with codecs that I don't know?

My priority is the video quality, but I also care about how many compression, it is (IE, reduce to a minimum the amount of space is consumed on the hard drive), and I want to minimize the time required to export a media file to avi.  Are there other factors should I consider in deciding which codec to use?

For what it's worth, I am running CS4 on a Windows XP computer.

Here's what I observed in my tests...

In the order of the smallest file avi (most compression) to the larger avi file (compression less):

    Microsoft Video 9

    Indeo 5.10

    Indeo 4.5

Cinepak Codec (AVI is more than triple the size of the Indeo codec)

Microsoft RLE (AVI is almost double the size of the one generated by the Cinepak)

Microsoft video 1 (AVI is almost three times the size of that generated by the Cinepak)

In order of time the shorter 'export' longer-term export times to a 13 second clip of test, with the codec on a maximum quality:

    Microsoft video 1

    Microsoft Video 9

    Microsoft RLE

    Indeo 5.10

    Cinepak

    Indeo 4.5

As far as I can tell from the eye or video files, the quality that results is similar on all of them, but I'm missing something?  I must admit, I have not looked at the video and sound quality as carefully as I would like.

    Welcome to the forum,

If the conversion program offers it (most do, but some do not), the DV - AVI (AVI specific flavor) w / PCM/WAV Audio to 48 kHz 16-bit, would be the best.

Also, there may be something useful in this ARTICLE, even if it was written for PrElements and not PrPro.Still, perhaps a useful tip.

I also recommend HD of Jeff Belluno to SD TUTORIAL.

    Good luck

  • Premiere PRO CS5 and Matrox RT. X 2

I bought a Matrox RT. X 2 for use with CS4 2 months and after seeing a demonstration of CS5 and the Mercury playback engine powered by Cuda Nvidia cards I'm beginning to wonder if the Matrox RT. X 2 will remain a good investment for me. I would like to believe that there isn't any RT X 2 driver again for use with first Pro CS5.

While RT X 2 supports only HDV and CS5 now offers full HD real-time including the more aggressive AVCHD playback, I start to wonder if Matrox doesn't matter what will make RT X 2 users.

I'll be very grateful if anyone can provide me with useful information on this.

Well, I guess that you have bad timing in this, but... the 4600 is a dated map, you should of went with the more recent 4800.

I strongly suspect that matrox RT X 2 pilots in the works right now. not sure if they made public announcements on this yet.

CUDA offers quality max scale all the time as default, but I don't know what the problem is with the PP scaling in the first place. never had a problem with it and I'm pretty picky

  • Why can not install first Pro CS5

I have a clean first Pro CS5, and I can't install it on my new machine. Why?

    Hi NickStarBustter,

Operating system of Windows 10. Can you confirm the type problems

Your operating system is not supported: Premiere Pro system requirements for Mac OS and Windows. If the software works at all, you will have unexpected behavior that may prevent a video project.

I suggest that you buy a separate boot disk, install Windows 7 and install first Pro CS5 on this disc. Start on this disc of any time you need to edit with first Pro CS5.

    Thank you

  • First Pro Cs5 windows don't respondents not 10

    Hello

After the upgrade to Windows 10, I noticed that first CS5 will not respond for 10 to 30 seconds each time I get out of the program to check e-mail, internet, and then go back to change.

    My specs:

OS - Windows 10 pro set for priority of performance

    CPU - Intel I - 7 3960 x 3.30 GHz

Hand drive - Seagate 750 G Momentus XT (472g free)

    Storage - Seagate 2 t in Raid 0 (234g free)

    Video card - Asus GTX 570 1280 MB 320 - Bit GDDR5

    RAM - 16g

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi IOU.

OS - Windows 10 pro set for priority of performance

Sorry, you have problems with this. The problem is that you are running an operating system not supported according to requirements for CS5. Windows 10 is simply not supported, we cannot give you advice other than the installation of a Windows 7 boot disk in your computer and first Pro CS5 install it. Start this drive when you work with first Pro CS5.

If you use this software with Windows 10, unexpected behavior will continue to arise. If all goes well, another user will be upward to help you with these errors if you insist on running the outdated software with a modern operating system.

    Thanks and good luck,

    Kevin

  • First Pro CS5 pixelation with T2i .mov files

    Thanks for the great information!

    Here's my scenario...

    • Windows 7 64 bit family

    • Intel quad core processor

    • Nvidia Geforce Gt240 graphics card

    • 8 GB of ram

    • G - tech g-raid0 drive 2 TB (for image storage)

    • WD Caviar Green 500 GB (OS Win764bit & amp; applications)

    • WD 250 GB usb 2.0 external drive (for backup)

    • First Pro CS5 (prod prem) modded to enable nvidia gt240 graphics card be used with the Mercury playback engine

    Backstory:

    I shot a short film of 2 weeks using a Canon Rebel T2i at 1080 p 24 with shutter speed 1/50.

At the end of the first day of shooting, I had to transfer the .mov footage off the coast of the Trandcend 16 gb class 10 memory cards with card reader Kingston for the Raid. I used a legacy firewire card connected to the aforementioned PC (it's all I got for the firewire connection at the time), and I noticed that the file transfer has been extremely slow. So for the next two days after I transferred the rest of the video on the Raid via USB 2.0 and the other files transferred much faster.

Play the images using VLC Media Player is well most of the time, but sometimes I see for about 5 frames pixel information is lost. It is not rolling shutter or jello. Part of the pixelated frame strongly for all 5 to 10 frames. I don't know if it's the loss of data on these images? I agree with a few images here or there, I can work around it if I have to...

    The problem:

I used the DSLR 1080 p 24 preset to set up sequences of the first Pro CS5 project. After you import the images above, reading in two preview windows randomly is pixelated, similar to the effect of VLC, but random parts. For the most part, VLC is compatible with the management of the problem. Whenever I start the first it will be Pixelize frames in different places than before. Sometimes when I run first first is good, then after a few readings, it starts to distort. After management problem for the current session, the pixelation appears in the clips that have the green status bar. Also, sometimes (randomly) some of the clips in the timeline panel have green waves at the bottom of them, or are completely green.

I tested the raw images in VLC, WMP, Media Player Classic (after you temporarily install KLite hoping to solve the problem). The problem that all .mov files seem to Pixelize the same framework of each player. First, but pixilated times randomly.

Tried with two mpeg streamclip and even with cineform neoscene U transcoding. Same results.

I have not been able to narrow down what is the problem. Any ideas?

    Thank you very much.

The problem is resolved. My cache of media was written to my local hard drive (c :)), a WD Caviar Green 500 GB. It turns less 7200 RPM, as it is friendly green. After clearing the cache and redirect the path to the raid 0 drive 7200 RPM, the media reads in the timeline smoothly without pixelation. A high technology, Adobe has helped me solve this problem after a lot of troubleshooting. Thank you!

  • Moving files from first elements 8 PC for Premiere pro CS5 for Mac

Hi, I am a new user of Creative Suite CS5 Production Premium on a Mac and I'm trying to open some of my unfinished projects of video from my old computer with Premier Pro. My old computer is a PC and I had been editing HD with first Elements 8 images, but I now have an equipped MacBook Pro which is much more suitable to what I was trying to do on my old computer, and I'd rather finish my projects on my new mac rather than on my old computer.

I exported my workspace for the videos and the file of the elements, I was working on in folders and them moves on my Mac's hard drive. I read that first Pro CS5 automatically converts files of items when they are open, however, I get an error message about how they are files of a PC version of the elements and cannot be opened. My question is, is it possible to convert PC files first elements 8 into something that can be opened on the first Pro CS5 for Mac?

PrE is only available for the PC. Unfortunately, there is no compatibility between PC GER (PREL) and PrPro on a Mac project files.

It was the same with files in project PrPro 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0, because they were PC only and there is no Mac version, up to CS3. The only solution was that could get a friend on a PC with the CS3 version to open/import the PrPro 1.0-2.0 projects inside, let it convert and then make a Save_As. That the resultant project COULD be opened/imported in CS3 Mac. Compatibility is with PrE8 and CS5 - PC.

    Your choice is:

1.) export rough-edited pre on your old PC files and then import those as assets, to finish editing

2.) find a friend with CS5 - PC, import/open these project files PrE who, not a Save_As and then move the files to your Mac project

3.) finishing editing on the PC

Sorry for the bad news, but good luck.

You open Premiere Pro projects, in a more recent version.

New version of Premiere Pro will convert/modify the project file, keep a backup of your original project file.

It's the pop-up, you will get:

NOTE: The backward compatibility is not supported in Premiere Pro.

I mean, you cannot open the CC project in version CS5.
