  I need tot draw road maps. This should be easy with the pen tool, but my problem is that I can't find a way to draw a double line with this tool. I've seen a lot of models and fancy border styles. Some do not have the lines double or even quadruple, but the problem is that they have an offset from the vector line and the space between the two lines (the edges of the road) cannot be filled.   Here is a picture. You can adjust the color of each stroke by selecting the line in the appearance Panel, and then change the color in the little box. Your best bet is to save the appearance as a graphic Style, so you can apply it to any line in the future. Not necessary for a brush and easier to change.

  Hello kayjay76, this looks like a problem caused by some sort of adware on your pc. Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also, go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software you have in place and various other tools such as the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

  The map view wouldn't make any difference, so more clarification is needed on your workflow.

  First, you must set the line height. Usually, I take double the font size and add 2 for good measure.

  Now you can adjust the drawListRow. You get a parameter which determines where you are in your current line. drawText takes x and y as input. You can draw the first line by using drawText(5,y,text) and the second using drawText (5, y + listField.getRowHeight / 2, Text2). You must take care of a linebreak correct etc, I usually do with a StringTokenizer.

  It is a question of a total novice with Illustrator but I was googling like crazy without result, so any help would be appreciated!

  I'm experimenting with creating seamless models, using forms. I know how to crop shapes by using the pathfinder tool.

  I can do this by placing the different shapes on a square. I then glue a square of the same size in front of all objects, select all then and use the crop to scout tool.

  However if I try to use it with painted lines (or lines created with the online tool or the pen tool) it will not work.

  Is there a way to do it, or am I missing something very obvious? Thank you to everyone who takes the time to answer

  You must not cut the objects you put into a shade of reason. Simply put an invisible rectangle in the back. But in case you want to cut, first expand appearance.

  Both are defined to align to baselinegrid. In order to work the baselinegrid both need to have the same ad leader. If a style has a leader more than the baselinegrid he will skip a line.

  If I (put) understand it, you can keep the direct Type and:

  (1) create a copy, and then type > vectorize and block the direct Type.

  (2) select all the paths described copy, object > path > offset if you wish and then object > compound path > Release and Pathfinder > unit.

  Select what you want the line to encompass. copy and paste to the prior (ctrl + f). Keep what you paste selected. Open the pathfinder Panel (window > pathfinder). Click on "join". Give your new object no race / no fill.

  One way to solve this problem is to use the function SUMMARY, rather than the aggregate COUNT:

  Most of the functions of aggregation (including COUNT) have analytical equivalents, which can produce the same results without causing the disintegration of all results in one line per group. The PARTITION BY clause from analytical functions corresponds to the GROUP BY clause in the aggregation queries.

  I wrote a paragraph for deletion and now the red lines are shown on each line of the paragraph, which is exactly what I want.

  My problem is that when I print the page delete red lines do not print.

  You have the trunking and no appearance of 'group' applied.

  Graphic Styles are actually 2 States - objects and groups. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing, looking at the Panel, what styles are which.

  You don't need two lines, one line with an applied appearance.

  

  Drag that to the graphic Styles Panel and it will work very well.

  If you really want to use two lines, and then do a brush model out of them instead.
