Compensation dynamic Flash text fields

Hello

What I'm trying to do:

I'm trying to do textfield1_txt & textfield2_txt clear, once the Send button is released.

A description of my Flash file is as follows:

I have 2 text fields on my Flash stage:
-textfield1_txt
-textfield2_txt

I also have a film clip that I'm using for the Send button:
-submit_mc


Please note that currently, once the submit_mc is out, my ActionScript has a function that checks to ensure that a data type is present in the boxes and submit the form. If errors occur, an error message displays currently:

Please enter the information in textfield1_txt
Please enter the information in textfield2_txt

Can someone tell me please in the right direction to clear text on the output of the submit_mc field?

    Separate the variable of the loop that you update in the loop to keep track of the current value of y.  The current value of there would be updated to the previous value, the height of the textfield newest once it was filled with text.

  • Flash CS5 glitch with setChildIndex and dynamic text fields?

    Since the upgrade to CS5 to have two distinct problems.

    I have a clip with 5 images.  When I'm on frame 3 (main game) and I use the command setChildIndex on one on-screen element existing on the framework itself, the item in question will now be added to permenantly stage and will persist through the management remaining (end and end the game).  This behavior was not present in the project until I converted it to CS5.  If I remove the setChildIndex command, the on-screen elements stop their depth of sorting (as your would expect) and they bleed is more in the next section, which is at the end of the level.

    I also have problems with a dynamic text field.  It is currently set to don't not selectable, but when you hover over the field it shows the symbol for the pointer of your mouse cursor, and when you click it, a highlight of small block appears to the left or to the right of the field.  You cannot change the contents of the field, or even select them, but if you try a small black mark selection appears at the end of the field.  I destroyed and recreated this field, and the bahavior seems to remain the same.

    Any other experience of these questions, or something similar with CS5?

    using any actionscript code that adds a DisplayObject instance to the list of display (including the definition of its index) has always caused this behavior.  which is expected.

    to remove this item use removeChild() or removeChildAt().

    to disable the cursor changes during a textfield, assign the property mouseChildren of the parent of the textfield property to false.

  • Dynamic text field will not wrap text

    I have a dynamic text field in my clip. This text field has built-in fonts and behavior is set to Multiline.  When I add text to it, it will not display text that wraps past the first line.

    Track orders show that the number of lines is increasing, but Flash does not display the text beyond the first line.  Anyone have any idea whats going on?

    I came across a few subjects that relate to t my question but after reading, try different approaches and internet research, I'm still confused. How to create Visual elements, for example a text field, dynamically from Actionscript in a class file?

    Basically, I created a class file that loads an external XML file and now I want to create fields of dynamic text for the items in the XML file. I did some debugging and I know that the XML is properly loaded. I can also get it to create dynamic text fields when I place the code inside the fla. The problem is when the code is in the class file. I read that you must pass the display for the class object, but I'm still not clear on how to do it.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

    Each feature display MovieClip, Sprite, TextField, etc. should be added to the display list/stack. The addChild in your class only adds TextFields to the estimatesheet class by using addChild (textField) and adds them to the scene of the film using stage.addChild (textField). Note that the latest works if estimatesheet is added to the movie because if estimatesheet is not added to the film the stage property is zero and you can't add items to something that is null, does not exist. AddChild (estimatesheet) prepares the ground for reference the main movie.

    As for making your class of the document class, you need to rearrange some things in your class and add a way to load the XML file. Things aren't sure how flexible can be.

  • Dynamic text field changes color but the bullets are not html text.

    I am tarea to use a dynamic text field to shoot in the html text that contains a bulleted list. Easy enough, that works. But don't take the balls on the color assigned to the field. I tried to put in the html text and also using NewTextFormat and no work. Someone can help me. This should be a simple solution, but I'm not... I want my text and bullets to both be white.

    Simple code below. Using html text inside the document flash and presence of a PivotTable field on the screen named txt. Code should turn text and green balls, but it does not work, only the text goes green

  • Loading external/dynamic text fields

    I have a recurring problem with my fle flash and it involves add external SWF and dynamic text files.

    Here goes...

    My flash is implemented with 5 sections. Each separate section is composed different maintimeline on frames and labeled. SO, when you click on a section in the navigation bar it tells the movie to access this section labeled on chronology. On each article, there is a space for the external txt file or an external swf. I've done many tutorials on how to load these things and I can actually get them to load when I put the instance of them on the first image with the code of the main action. BUT I still want more in the timeline panel.

    For example... When you click on a section, I put the area of dynamic text on this article which is further down in the timeline panel. When I test the movie I see that the text box there, but there is no text in there. When I put the same text on image 1 box, it works. SO I think it has something to do with the code to find the instance further to the bottom of the timeline.

    I hope this makes sense... I enclose my code. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I see this as a recurring problem for me in each section.

    You must wait until you are on the frame where the textfield must try to assign the text - you can't assign text if it is not present.  You can probably load all the text and saved it as a variable in frame 1, but this variable must be available on the framework where you assign the textfield text charge.

    I work with my .fla file and an external .as file. I have some things to work the way I want and now I am trying to add a dynamic text field to my .fla file. I added the text dynamic on stage manually (not using the action script code) field and when I publish my file I get the following error message.

    1046: type was not found or is not a constant of compilation: TextField.

    Do I need to add an 'import' to the front of my .as file? I currently have these import statements...

  • Setting text in a dynamic text field

    Hello

    I have trouble to set the text in a dynamic text field when you use an if statement.

    I have a gallery and thumbnails, which give each image a picNum, that is to say 1, 2, etc.;

    When I click on the thumbnail, it sets the picNum accordingly.

    What I want to do is set the legend according to my picNum, so I put a function to change the caption according to the picNum that is called when you click on the thumbnail.  That is to say.

    Caption = function() {}

    If (picNum = 1) {_root.caption.text = "image 1 caption"};

    If (picNum = 2) {_root.caption.text = 'image of legend 2'};

    }

    I tried to put on the other if, but I got an error.

    My problem is that it does not change the caption displayed when the picNum meets the criteria.  Something obviously wrong here, but not being is not large in actionscript, I don't know where I am going wrong.  The above code is a basic example of what I'm trying to do.  I have attached the actual file to show you what I'm trying to do. (Help of Flash MX, Flash Player 6 publication)

    Background:

    Currently, I use two different text fields to display because of different font size 10000.

    The 10 is a larger size font and 000 is a smaller font.  When I assign ' 0 ' for dynamic text from the smaller font fields I get just that '0' is not a "000" which is what I want. "

    Question:

    Is there an easy way to display zeros in a dynamic text field?  Or a dynamic text field can cause different character positions displayed in different font sizes?  or both?

    the only way you can view 'number' as you want, not the way that flash wants, is to use ropes.

    texteformatage is a response to another question, that you had on the display of the different font sizes in a textfield.

    I use dynamic text fields using the font Arial embeded in Flash 8 on Windows XP and when I set the letter spacing of 5, then run it film the spacing is lost. Tried with several other fonts and they always lose their spacing during execution.

    You must reset the value linespacing in code after you put text, as follows:

    So, I have a clip in which I put a text field. I've done the transparent clip (setting alpha to 0) and everything is OK (the pliers and the deposited text are not visible) while I'm still working with the timeline and stage. When I test or publish the movie the text field is always visible. I have a Flash Player 9,0,115,0 installed on my computer.
    I did some tests and found that:
    If the text field is static text, it WORKS. Text field has the same alpha value as the clip that holds it.
    If the text field is a dynamic text it does not. Submitted text is visible.
    If the deposited text is entered and there is NO character to incorporate, the text field IS visible (it looks like the alpha value is 100).
    If the text field is the input text and incorporate characters, the deposited text IS NOT (as expected) visible.
    It's strange. I'd say it's a bug.

    BTW, it seems that you can add comments to Flash 8 livedocs (after clicking on the add comment button, you are redirected to a log in page and you can submit a comment), but when I went to Flash CS3 livedocs you can't. There is a message 'comments are no longer accepted for Flash CS3. Flash CS4 is the current version. To discuss Flash CS3, please use the Adobe forum. ». This nonsense!

    Wow, you don't need to go through this whole process just to embed fonts in a dynamic text field that is already on scene. Click the field in your text on the stage, click the character of dipping and embed the characters you need. Fact.

    I'm stuck in Flash8 land. Especially because I use mProjector and MDM Zinc to extend flash projectors and neither support AS3 properly so far. That said...

    Flash8 SWF file is able to use the fonts included in the 'other' sovereign wealth funds? I know it's a permanent fix and an area well-known confusion and well, I'm confused. All attempts I've done so far for an affair have succeeded or failed in various ways, but never completely to operate.

    What I want to do, use fields of dynamic text filled with data from a database (or XML file) with CSS styling, use fonts embedded in a "master font SWF". (and I would cream ice with that too!)

    Import fonts in, say, "shared.fla. I put them all for export via the link (with shared.swf). I opened my other FLAs (say main.fla) and I drag the library shared.fla fonts in main.fla library. Looking at the link, I see that it it set correctly import for Runtime sharing (shared.swf). I can see the fonts available in the list of fonts main.fla and can select and use it very well. I have to define the dynamic text field to incorporate policies to actually see them (and also myTextField.setStyle("embedFonts",true)).

    Now, everything works well and fine, but the kicker is when I want CSS to my text style. If I specify a login of linkage of police embedded in CSS, the text disappears. that I load 'style.css' and I h1 {font family: someEmbeddedFont;}, the < h1 > text will now disappear.

    Clues in how can I specify a font for use in CSS which incorporated thus will work WITHOUT this needed to be incorporated into the library police (as in, not an asset related)? Because it works fine if I incorporate the police in every single SWF. But when I try to use it as a common good, it does not work.

    Any ideas on how a person can achieve this?

    This is so I can change my shared.swf and provide all new fonts with the same identifiers link and change the font in an entire project without re - export any other sovereign wealth funds.

    I was more or less asking if you could create 2 new documents and comes knocking in the fonts and settings as an example of file for each of us looking to share certain assets of fonts properly.

    I would be happy to host a ZIP containing the example on my server files and you can put a file .txt with credits for you and/or your business.

    I want to especially your solution because the solution of sharedfonts.com (which by the way, does not work) is actually exported as Flash 6, CC1. Also your method requires only 1 file instead of a charger and 1 active fonts (fonts 2 files of each). When I change the documents in Flash 8 AS2, I have nothing else to errors. I think that sharedfonts.com is based on the hack is available in previous versions of flash, and that's why when I reproduce it in functional flash8, it simply doesn't work simply.

    His method works for me on the web and offline. It ended up being that if ever I save my documents in Flash CS3 and export to Flash 8, it won't work. But if I save-as down to Flash8 and then publish under flash8 also, it works. Very weird, but works...
