Compose Font

Under settings > display is an option to "Dial fonts" on my new Crush.  The choice is 'normal' or 'big '.  I see no where that doesn't matter.  Can someone explain?  The book that comes with the phone has very little information.  DC

Question for Motorola technicians:

Is the function of Dial Font just an old wear more/non-usable part of function menu on the phone of Crush, may be part of generics menus used in smart phone?

Why display the unusable menu functions to add additional space or it not working properly?

Like DennyC, I don't see any difference in parameters, normal, or Large.

  • How do I change default font size of Outlook Express?

Outlook Express 6 on Windows XP Pro.  My compose font is defined as Verdana 10 pt.  But when I compose a message now the text is 12 AND all attempts to change it to 10 in the wee top box have no effect - it boils down to 12.  And this applies to each of several alternative fonts (Verdana, Ariel,...) I tried.  I don't have this problem in the past.  Something changed - any ideas on how to fix?

Certainly, reboot and see if something might get fixed by that.  Otherwise, you can go to file | Identities and establish a new identity.  This will give you a basis of costs of messages and fresh registry hive (where settings are stored for the most part) and that could fix the problem if its related to a kind of corruption of the registry.  It certainly won't hurt to try.  If it works, then you can go to file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.  You can also see what other programs are running.  It could be some kind of other program interfering.

    Hi Robin,

What e-mail program you are using (name and version)? Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Outlook, a program that you access through your browser (and if yes, what name and version of the browser?) something else (and what version and/or year of this product)?

What Version of Vista you are using (for example, 32-bit Vista Home Premium SP2 or other)?

    Thank you!

P.S. I am pretty sure that the procedure is simple and can be done-, but it varies depending on whether you use, so I want to provide the information that is applicable to you.

EDIT: Just a few alternatives which may help:

If Windows Mail, go to Tools / Options / compose / font settings (ditto for fonts Signature if you use signatures) and change it to anything you want.  Save the changes and close Windows Mail, and then reopen it.  Your default sending policy should now be what you set with this configuration.

  • Step by step, how can I permanently change part and size in the composition of my email?

I would like to permanently by default my answers by e-mail and compose on the AIR, 5 PT, bold.

Can someone give me a step by step how to do this?  I tried, but can't find it.  I have WINDOWS XP.

    T H A N X!

If you use Outlook Express, then go to tools | Options | Compose | Font settings.  BUT, pt 5 is very small and very few can read it.  In addition, Arial usually only goes down to 8 pt.  You should maybe use the paper and set the font in the HTML code.

  • Increase the size of the font when composing emails in Mail

I saw a number of posts about this, but so far no solution that doesn't involve alternative e-mail software download...

When I compose an email on my iMac 27 inches with OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.2 and using the Mail application, the text is too small!  I could obviously increase the font size in each email (or zoom with command +)- but then the recipient of the email would be a size unusually large police (unless I remember to reduce it again before I hit send)!  Much of your time to do this for each font.

This isn't a problem when reading the emails received in the Mail application.  Can I use the keys cmd + to increase the police * looks a * size without increasing the size of the current font.

The question: to compose e-mails from Mac Mail, how can I increase the size displayed without increasing the actual font size when I send the police?

    Thank you very much

You answered your own question.  Using "command +" to zoom in as you type so you can see clearly, and then use "command - 'to decrease after you have click Send.  This way the person on the other end doesn't end by with an email with the type of massive police.

  • How to permanantly change default font when composing in windows mail

I want to permanantly change the default font from Arial to Times New Roman. I can't find instructions on how to do it. I know how to compose a single message, but I want to change it permanantly. Is it still possible?

Keep in the default font of mind changes in Windows Mail only will be not honored if you have installed IE 9.  You would have to do the default font in IE TNR for it to stick.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#15 if you do not have IE 9 installed, then you can go to tools | Options | Read | Fonts and the font of reading by default there set.

  • How to compose an e-mail message with larger fonts?

I just sent a message starting with some information, but when I copied and pasted a line address, he stressed and when I spaced back to my default font, the message continues underlined and in much smaller font. How can I continue in my own default font and color?

Re: but when I copied and pasted an address online, it was pointed

by "address line", I presume that you are referring to the address of the Web page as shown in the address bar of the browser to let you know that you look at the page: for example:
    https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/all.html

If you use "Insert" > 'Link' method then the link is added and stressed.
Simple copy/paste or hand typed links placed directly in the editor are not highlighted in the editor, but they become auto stressed after sending or if you save it as a draft.
If you save it as a project and then choose to edit the project, you would see the link pointed out in composition.

However, if you did a simple copy paste, but copy a piece of text on a Web page that was a link pointed out, not copied from the address bar, then you will have copied some also good formatting.
If I do that and then go back and then type, copied to the hidden format will be always used and are similar to a part of the link. Although if I press space the underline does not continue, but then it doesn't matter how exactly moves you make and the copied text may have included an empty space with a hidden formatting.
If this sounds like your situation - copy text that says that it is a link try to go to the link and then copy and paste the info from the address bar and not the text link.

You can see what is happening with the fomatting.
Save as draft, then navigate to the project folder, select email and click on 'Other Actions' > View Source.

  • Y at - there any ay to restore these Harrington and Curlz fonts that were in previous versions of Thunderbird?

I used to compose messages in Thunderbird using these fonts Curlz and Harrington. They are more options. How can I restore them?

If you have used the police in the past, it was on another machine?

Thunderbird uses the fonts that are already present on your computer (Win10 and use of many other drunks "C:\Windows\Fonts"). Thunderbird uses the Windows fonts list provides. If the font is always installed in your fonts file, then Thunderbird should list it in the font drop-down list boxes.

Curlz fonts are licensed and has a price.
Harrington is available as a free download.

Beware of fancy fonts. If the recipient does not have the police on HIS computer, his mail software will use its own fonts 'selectable recipient. " As you can the in 'Options '. It may also decide to substitute your choice of fonts, in favor of its own. In these cases, the message is not displayed as you hear it.

  • Font scale/meter size

I've always used OSX Mail. When I decided to switch to Thunderbird, I installed and opened, when I got to compose my first message, I couldn't find the simplest in the world the thing in an e-mail program that is the size of the font.

It really makes Thunderbird look cheap, some organizations require a font size, and we can not use Thunderbird for this!

I really wish that it is added to the next version, so I can move to Thunderbird.

    Thank you.

Yours is a common request, but I do not think that those who ask have been conditioned by other mail clients to believe that the sizes are useful or reliable in particular email and digital messages in general.

I maybe need 16pt type on my screen based on my view. It would be discourteous of me to that cause all my correspondents. So I can dial by using a large screen font, but by setting the markup of message to specify the way, I know that it will be shown to any size the recipient likes or chooses to use. Similarly, your message to me, if the average value when you compose, allows your message to shown to me to whatever font size, I usually use. In any case, Thunderbird lets me ignore and override both your choice of fonts and the font size, if absolutely necessary.

Most of us who use Thunderbird do so precisely the modules and the opportunity that they give us to adapt it to our own needs or preferences. Use of modules is inherent in the product, and this intentional design feature will not go away. If you are really worried about "third party" components, then Thunderbird may well not suit you, and I think it's fair to raise this issue at the outset.

I hope that you will come to appreciate is strong points and even to consider the two Add-ons, I have suggested, since they can automate or simplify the definition of a specific font size company. Either way, stationery is one of the few places in Thunderbird where you can set the size of the font in points instead of pixels.
