  New owner Dell, autonomous worker tutoring.

  My needs are simple: good advice and good backups and anti-virus now, basically that the computer works as announced and reliable.

  I had an external hard drive but not the premium software, I bought.  So, I made the necessary backups with the entire system partition.  I'll buy another external hard drive to a comprehensive approach to backup but I potted the computer so I have lost some files?

  I have a small blue clock faces that say "Restore Dell backup... "on most of my files.  Is this to say that I am protected or that I have scratched the disc and may need to restore or reinstall the operating system / software virus protection and other stuff maybe later if she is funky.

  A Dell technician did a check-up through, especially looking for any virus attack, given that the ads were so aggressive that I thought there may be a.  Mozilla? Or Windows?  How to place these ads?  So, I'm happy with Dell.  And I'm going to buy another external hard drive.

  Since this is a new pc, call customer service and to explain that the reverse may be damaged and you need a DVD or USB upward.

• How to get the remote session actionscript samples?

  I tried to get the data from my laptop running my swf with enabled(password-protected) advanced telemetry application.

  I created. telemetry.cfg in the folder % USERPROFILE:

  TelemetryAddress = 192.168.1.7:7934

  SamplerEnabled = true

  CPUCapture = true

  DisplayObjectCapture = true

  Stage3DCapture = false

  Scout shows data for connected remote swf, but in info Session he ' Advanced Telemetry: Disabled.

  If I run the same swf on my machine with Scout everything works well and ActionScript Sampler is enabled.

  Is there something wrong with the cfg file?

  Where can I find documentation on all parameters of cfg file?

• Adobe Air framework - where is the Documentation

  I am very confused about the use of the Adobe Air framework to learn how to upgrade my applications. There are tutorials on the Adobe Web site, but they are all from 2008 or 2011 and discuss the Air 1.5 versions 2 or 2.5, but since I was on 3.7 Air I would like to see examples of how to use the framework.

  I am new in the Air, but not for AS3. Looks like the Framework includes APIs that allow you to update applications and much more, but I can't find where the documentation is in particular. I find constantly:

  Back now, so I looking to implement a form of update of your application within itself using Air updater Application. The second link you provided says everything about how to do this, just ignore all the MXML and use snippets provided in the examples. There is no difference between the framework released in 2011 (for updating), so any tutorial around this time will be sufficient for you. I quickly Googled it for you and it seems to be easy to understand:

• How to pass variables by using the command line when starting from a native application ActionScript

  How to pass in variables or arguments to start using the command line when starting a native ActionScript application? For example, I have my app MySweetWidget call and it was compiled with Adobe AIR runtime in captivity so now I have MySweetWidget.exe.

  In the command line, I call MySweetWidget.exe and would like to pass in variables or properties of the application. I guess that these variables are read from the loaderInfo.parameters object.

  Please let me know if the Adobe AIR runtime supports passing the parameters to native execution. If so, I would like to help determine the correct format of how pass variables. So would you want to read those loaderinfo.parameters object?

  I found the answer to my own question:

  Yes, it's a feature supported. It is documented on the following page:

  When you subscribe to the event from the NativeApplication invoke it will subsequently send the event and you read the table of e.arguments object to get the start in the native application arguments.

• ActionScript 3 coding to return to the homepage of 10 secs after audio file stops

  Hello..

  I am having some problems with my Flash project.

  At the moment it all works, but I need now to do something I've never done before.

  Basically, the user selects a page and the project can run through actionscript 3.0, coding, an audio file and displays the page right in the timeline.

  I have a return button which once typed will return to the home page.

  I now need to return to home page 10 dry after the audio file as well as keeping the function of the back button.

  What should I do?

  I can provide the coding I use if necessary.

  I am currently using Flash Pro CS6 on a PC Win 7 Pro.

  If you need both something happening you have a few choice items from the timer to choose.

  The less complicated would probably use the setTimeout() function and call the same function as the button uses.  You just need to assign the function of the event argument to null (as in: buttonFunctionName (evt:MouseEvent = null) function).

  Another option is to use the Timer class.

  These two options are documented in the help files if you need to find how to use them.

• Programming ActionScript 3.0... Text formatting

  I'm a beginner, the student works on an assignment, the ActionScript coding.  I have an ActionScript (.as) class attached to my .swf.  I have a text field and I want to format the text in... color, police, etc.  No matter what I do, the text "Hello Rasmussen!" displays only in the style of the ActionScript and the default implementation.  Here is the code:

  X and y position settings should work as show you them.

  For color, if you look to the top of the TextField class in the help documentation, you will find that it has no property 'color' for a textfield.

  The TextField class's textColor property, you must specify a valid hexadecimal color value to make it work but 0FF0000 is not valid.  In your class code, try the following...

  myText.x = 300;

  myText.y = 150;

  myText.textColor = 0xFF0000;

  Flash pro, in my document class I have this:

  in the page html wrapper automatic made by flash pro (publish the model of 'Flash with FSCommand') I added these lines inside the script block:

  compilation gives no error but when I test this locally (with google chrome), nothing happens and the swf file stops to react

  Currently, I have a video whose permit has a window of reading value:

  Now when the player gets this license and starts playback, then at the end of the license then begins.  I want to be able to do is in the drive, I want to be able to reset this license, so that I can download a new license and restart the countdown of playback window.

  Is it possible?  I tried to watch DRMManager (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/net/drm/DRMManage http://Hotfile.com/dl/714028/a47ed1a/the.Lord.of.the.rings.Conquest.Razor1911.part01.RA), but he did not regard to reset/clear the license of Actionscript.  The two ways I know how to clear my driver's license is to do it manually by:

  (2) by clearing out the files/directories of license.

  I would like to be able to clear a specific license from the Actionscript 3 environment.

  After taking a quick glance to your use case, have you considered using the restriction of license caching policy?  Our Java packaging command-line tools control these traits through the following properties:

  # Short period of time, a license can be cached on the client (in minutes)

  # Set to 0 to disable license caching.

  # The policy.licenseCaching.duration and the policy.licenseCaching.endDate cannot be used

  policy.licenseCaching.duration = 1440

  # Date after which licenses may not be cached

  # The policy.licenseCaching.duration and the policy.licenseCaching.endDate cannot be used

  #policy.licenseCaching.endDate = 2010-07-27-10: 56:00

  Essentially, these properties dictate how long a license can be cached (written to disk). If you set the license of caching of the duration to 1,440 minutes (24 hours), a license that is sold to the customer is removed disk after 24 hours, necessitating another acquisition of license.

  However, playback window can be considered time use-only licenses (up to the expiry of the license).

• New to ActionScript 3.0

  I started as an ActionScript developer. However I noticed in the new Flash Creative Suites, basic ActionScript is not longer supported. (at least since the file menu create) So now I'm trying to figure out AS3.0 and I'm having a difficult time in my head around it to packaging.

  I think I write good code, but I get a lot of errors on things like properties and data types.

  Honestly, I thought I had at least some control after watching the ActionScript code with Doug on Adobe TV videos, but apparently I don't know what is happening with what or how to navigate the new menu of Classes. I open it only to get hundreds of commands that I don't know how to use.

  What are some good places where I learn ActionScript 3.0? Because I don't know how to use the classes and the places where even pull the data or functions, that I even need. I then pair of all those other things I don't know. The manual is quite... dense with stuff to sift through. (that I don't know what it is)

  Some things I'm doing are variables loading from an external text file... but for some reason when I try to use the information in the text file it says I'm to access data with no defined properties, etc. I have an integer and a string that I loaded the text file. I'm trying to work around it by using some of the standard stuff I know but no luck... still undefined and I do not know what to do.

  I'm back to basics in this situation, it seems. What are good resources or referral sources?
