Compress a project at 500 MB?

Guys,

I have a major problem. I need to compress my FCP project to a 500 MB QuickTime.

It's a project ProRes422, and the length of the movie is 26 minutes, with dissolved cross minimum and an audio track of 2 minutes.

I've exported as a Quicktime Movie and changed the settings less and still I get a 900 MB file.

What can I do else? I tried m4v, but the quality was atrocious.

Assuming that you are talking about megabytes (MB).

As your video is 26 minutes, which allows you to get your bit rate less 2600 Mb (megabits per second. If you can offer a satisfactory image quality will depend on a lot of the content. You may need to lower the resolution; 720 is likely to be more effective than the 1080.

Compressor is intended for situations of this kind. If you do not have it and won't buy it (@$ 50), examine the freeware, MPEG Streamclip.

Good luck.

  • Why a few recorded tracks "empty" when I opened the Garageband projects on another machine?

    Hey

I have just updated my laptop to be able to run the same version of GarageBand on my iMac and MacBook (OS X El Capitan and GarageBand v.6.0.5) and work on projects of GB on what that machine is available.

I just tried to open a few GB on my MacBook projects (both were created on my iMac) and the recorded vocal tracks are "empty", as below.  The track from the top (purple) is any wav. file and the blue trace below is the vocal track, although it says "file not found".

I copied the root folder where I save all my records in GB on my iMac to Dropbox so I could open projects GB on my laptop, so all audio files must be in the same place.  Or I make a stupid mistake?  It's really quite likely, but any help is very welcome!

    Thank you

    Rich

I copied the root folder where I save all my records in GB on my iMac to Dropbox so I could open projects GB on my laptop, so all audio files must be in the same place.

The problem could be the DropBox synchronization. DropBox is ideal for simple documents, but your GarageBand projects are files with databases and multimedia files inside. Synchronization can break the connection between the media files and internal databases.

If you want to transfer projects with Dropbox, it is safest to compress the projects and move to archive compressed to dropbox.

But see, if the media are still inside the Garageband project. Perhaps the download was not complete.

    • CTRL-click the .band file and select "Show Package Contents".
    • In the Finder window that opens, select the "Media" folder
    • Copy the audio files in this folder to a folder on your desktop.
    • Try to identify the missing audio file.  If you can find it, drag it to the track where it is absent.
  • Re: specification for parameters of the project and the final delivery of the animations for broadcast HD

    Hi all

I just finished reading the book of techniques of studio by mark christiansen and I have I have some doubts, maybe, someone working on similar projects can help out me, I hope!

I live in a PAL country and I especially design and animate the graphics in AE with layers of shape, the illustrator files and psd files. I can work in a proyect for broadcast HD tv and some questions and insecurities had crawled in. I would describe who will be I guess than the workflow:

1 - setting up the project in AE:

    Captura de pantalla 2014-02-14 a la(s) 14.44.19.png

of course, the working color space should be consistent between applications. Linearize is important, but I Don t well grasp the concept.

    (2) my master composition:

    Captura de pantalla 2014-02-14 a la(s) 14.51.00.png

Here, the choice of the frame rate should be 25/50 according to the... ? is just a choice if you work with live images of the hd cameras? apply to animations, graphics?

And last question, which would be the preferred delivery format and the encoding of the file? I know that there is a wide choice, but if you have a set that s works for you and your customers then i´ll be useful.

Also. If you have an article, you can recommend where there is an explanation very clear be appreciatted, it seems (to me) the deeper you digg I get more confused.

    Thanks in advance!

You should check with the diffuser. Either they publicly publish their requirements or that they are in a contract. There is not one size fits all here. The best option for the broadcast work is to make a copy almost without loss or loss of your job as a DI (digital intermediate) and then compress the project specifications accurate diffuser using Adobe Media Encoder or another application specifically designed for video compression for delivery. The only time you ever look like an amateur is when you do not ask the specifications. I regularly get the same images different distributors in 6 different formats.

  • JAR JSON file

    Hello

I would like to know how to create a. Http://www.json.org/java/org.json.me.zip JAR file. I want to be able to add as a JAR file instead of directly add the addition of all classes to the project. Could someone help me.

I tried various methods without success. The failure of preverify kept.

Make sure that your projects are using similar levels of compliance. Also try cleaning and reconstruction of your project. The project is now a library of BlackBerry, try adding just a reference to the library project in the main project rather than directly adding the JAR.

Therefore, when you compress your project, your library project is automatically added to the Simulator. When you deploy on a real device, it becomes a different story. If you deploy Live, you must update your JAD file to include references to the file library cod.

You can use the UpdateJad executable in the bin folder of one of your packs of component to do this. Just do:

    updatejad Main.cod Library.cod

And it will do the rest for you (even create a backup of the old JAD). You must be sure to give the full path to each cod or run updatejad on a folder that contains all the necessary files to COD.

If you are using Desktop Manager, I believe that dependencies are automatically added to the ALX and simply copy the library cod file in (not 100% on this property.

  • Flash vs animate using Animate/encode for the class

    Hello!

I take Adobe animate as a class for graduate studies. I use the latest version of Animate, however, the class uses the book of Flash CC 2013 for the lessons. In Lesson 7 I have Media Encoder allows you to convert video files for the project Animate lesson. The book ask the converted videos is no longer available due to updates. I am just learning all this so I don't know what is the equivalent of what I need. The original file format is H.264 preset is Source of Match - broadband and the lesson asks me to convert it to the Format F4V and Preset Web - 320 x 240, 4 x 3, project Framerate, 500 Kbps. help, please!

Support for FLV and it seems F4V, has been abandoned for a long time. You may need to check with your teacher if you can say MP4/H.264 to these same settings. Or, if you look at the menu CC, applications tab, you can set up previous versions of the applications, then use the version from 2013. Don't know if this is old enough, you may need to install the version of CS6.

  • Film plays in sync on video players ~ movie plays out of sync in the first

I have five movies HDV 60 min recording on a Canon HV40.

Using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and made a capture in the usual way on these five films.

After the capture, I began the usual changes but I found that 3 movie audio was seriously out of sync with the voice of the guest speaker.

I took the movies on another computer (a HP z800 and HP z230) and all the films played perfect except Film 3.

3 movie plays perfectly in WMP and Vimeo.

I chose to make an another upload/capture - renamed Film 3 and here I still encountered the same problem.

All movies in this series of conference were shot the same day, the same device. Film / film out film / film out - nothing unusual.

Properties and all the films in this series are identical.

I have a file that I need to download to the cloud, it's about 10 GB in size... the problem is, I leave it in the folder and when I come back, he said that it was "impossible to synchronize the file.

The file is an extension ".mov" quicktime prores, there is nothing unusual in the name of the file that would create a conflict.

I tested with a small file and everything was ok.

I also made sure subject the conditions necessary for clouds desktop synchronization files are in place.

The file that I tried to download was 10.13 GB, and after a conversation with technical support, this is the only apparent solution:

This is not the end of the world, even if it is unfortunate that I have to compress a project twice instead of once to send it...

  • The P6 capacity planning

    all. Thank you.

Notice of capacity planning draws a number of recordsets (projects in a portfolio, project types, roles in a portfolio, the role data spread and role schedules) that are used to display the planning grid capacity, but according to the user's selection, that it applies to a logic of treatment (i.e. adding by chronology) before the user discover interface is rendered.

I played around with this a bit and here are a couple of SQL which may help you point a response (just a guess on my part, I hope it will tell you in the right direction).
On a side note, I think that using the web services of P6 SpreadService.ReadProjectRoleSpread would be easier and less messy!

I think you need some SQL queries to get recordsets which are necessary for the capacity view planning information use.

    1. the projects of a given portfolio
    2. the roles on projects within a given portfolio
    3. divide the data for each project by role
4 data on the calendar for each role (play time more so I don't look in this dimension)

Still, I didn't spend at any time to check to see if I had all the records of right and I really think that the using the SpreadService.ReadProjectRoleSpread would be more approach better to get the information you want but it was fun looking for a solution.

  • Discussions about hard drive setup

Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas. I use the suite CS6 Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, first, After Effects and hearing), Avid Media Composer 6 and Davinci resolve 9 Lite on my system. I read different configuration of hard disk including those who posted ham. Until now, I was using just a hard disk for all. I know it's bad. I never had the money. But now I do. Here's how I think it should be like and it is very similar to the mentioned by Ham 3 disk configuration.

500GB 7200 RPM for C: (operating system, programs, swap files, various stuff like documents, etc.)

1 TB 7200 RPM for D: (Media files and projects)

500 GB 7200 RPM for E: (exports, previews and Cache)

I can't afford a raid drive because I want a Raid 5 and it is clearly out of my budget. I'll get one as soon as I can. Now I have a desktop computer. I thought I had the media player to be outside with a good pregnant with a heat sink and a fan. I have an eSata, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 port. I will continue the other drives internally and keep the drive to external media due to heat problems. Is this the right way or I should have all the disks internally? I have a good and a ventilated housing. Its the HAF 922 with coolant (Corsair H60) for the CPU. Please help me. You guys thanking in advance.

I would use for an external eSATA, since it the fastest connection available on your desktop, but an alternative would be to use in-house and save on housing, with no performance penalty. The willing HAF 922 of refrigerating power enough to handle the extra drive is internal.

  • video looks like much until the converted to swf. unwanted leaves on slides

I am using Captivate 5 in TCS3 on XP.

This is my first attempt of making videos.  I'm pretty happy with the final result, except that there are shadows of widgets on slides, where they should not view.  For example, there is a slight outline of the text boxes and drop-down lists on slides that do not have them.

I suspect that there is some sort of adjustment must be defined when I generate the .swf, but I don't know what it is.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Something I found also can cause this 'ghost' of objects on slides following is compression in project settings: size SWF and quality.

So I try to disable all the compression options and then publish to see if she gets rid of the afterglow.  If Yes, I have on them again one at a time, editing in between to see which option brings back them.

My widescreen WMV files are superb.  I wish I could make my AVI files look like.

    Hello

I'd say you need to set it up as follows:

    Width: 1920

    height: 1080

    pixel format: square pixel (1:1)

This should give you a picture of pixel square perfect hi-def.

You realize an AVI HD uncompressed one minute 31 program will be right huuuuuge?

test on 10 sec or so first and see what your picture looks like, and what is the size of the file. You can always work on the size of the final file from there.
