• Most recent game crashing almost immediately on the launch titles.

  Just got a new system.  The old songs that I installed (WoW and Crysis) work very well.

  Three new titles that I bought (Dragon Age, Just Cause 2, BF:Bad Co. 2) crash almost immediately on launch.  I'm afraid to buy new software that I'm afraid that they do not work on Windows 7!  A title closes just without any error message.  The other two titles give messages like this:

  I can't tell you how much work I did try to correct these errors.  Ive contacted the manufacturer of the computer, game developers, posted on the Nvidia forums, followed on 1 billion troubleshooting suggestions, but no one seems to be able to precisely identify WHERE exactly the problem is, so I'm just shooting missles magic into the darkness.

  Currently the manufacturer of the computer (Digital Storm) is blaming Nvidia, Nvidia says it's the games themselves, the game developers are to blame the manufacturer of model and Microsoft, particularly of directx, but more important still, nobody works actively for a solution except me.  I made the mistake of throwing a lot of money to play the latest titles and cannot.  Any ideas or suggestions that are new, I'll try.

  The system is:

  Windows 7 64 bit

  Directx11 (downloaded library runtime dx and redist as suggested by others

  NVIDIA GTX 470.  I have tried both drivers latest drivers 197,75 and 257.15 beta.

  EVGA x 58 the with Intel i7 930

  memory of triple-channel 6 gb 1600 mhz (tested)

  Just Cause 2 has been downloaded from Steam, DA was downloaded from the EA store, BFBC2 is a dvd.

  Check with the manufacturer of system or component for the updated drivers. If none are available, remove or turn off the unit and check the behavior.  Contact the manufacturer / system device to make them aware of the problem so that they can hopefully fix in a future update.

• When the computer 'host' is accessible by the 'guest' on the network computer, the host computer crashes hard.

  There is no error message, making it difficult to diagnose. There are two computers running Vista, fully patched, connected via a network of small size. (Microsoft MSE, no virus, start using activated, etc. "It is clean). When the computer goes to * any * file of the host computer, the host computer crashes immediately. There is no error message, freezing of mice, all hard disk activity stops, it stops absolutely everything. The continuous guest PC works well, it simply notes that the host computer is "not available". Someone saw something like that? I certainly have not. It's far too vague to diagnose.

  I looked on the event logs and couldn't find anything saying. I disabled and re-enabled the network shares, etc. Because they are built Lenovo desktop computers, I have a difficult time to do a "repair", but I guess I could give that a shot with some Vista discs. As I understand it, these computers are not often with Vista bootable discs.

  It is essential that I can diagnose it. In almost twenty years of THIS I've never seen anything this vague and almost impossible to diagnose.

  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Is it all the same to make a "full reset" or "Refresh" of networking in Vista? Who could do.

  I also note that it is a recent issue, these systems worked very well for a while and it's a change suddenly. Particularly curious because I locked the Windows updates to update only when I say so... and I didn't have lately.

  Have you tried to replace the NETWORK card on the computer that crashes? If not, it's what I would do then. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  A little more information, such as your operating system (Win 7 - starter, family premium, 32 bit, 64 bit etc), can help your PC spec (CPU, Ram, graphics card, etc.) when it freezes (i.e. is it randomly, or when you try a specific task or you open a specific program)? Is full of your hard drive or you have loads of free space?

  However, input:

  It could be malicious, so download it, install, update (updated by right-clicking on its icon and 'run as administrator' then go to the update tab) and run a complete scan with free malwarebytes.

  Run a disk error check

  Run a SFC / scannow check the operating system

  If you perform a clean boot as a test, it freezes then? Don't forget to get back to normal after the test.

  For Thunderbird there is nothing that you need to restore from "local."

  Hi, you can try it for only bookmarks: first open the bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore and see if you have a backup there.

Then they will make me pay for a legitimate downloadhelper version if they have officially that I already bought? That's what I want to know, because I don't have to buy it again.

  Re-installing Firefox does not necessarily mean that you will have to re - install Download Helper.

  You use the default theme? If no, place you in default theme.

  If this isn't a problem with a 3rd party theme, try Firefox SafeMode.
  
  A way of solving problems, which disables most of the other modules.

  1. You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  2. Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

  If it's good in Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

  Are you sure you're looking in the right folder, you are possible to search in the installation of Firefox rather than the profile folder folder. The following link provides details on the location of the profile folder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

  If you do not find places.sqlite you may not have access to your old profile folder.
