30/05/2011, just after a meeting controversial of our community local Government Council, the Council pulled its Director general. It's great news for our community, and I tried to send copy of news to our regional newspaper online. Idiscovered that all my "hotmail" account passwords is over worked. Then I reset passwords for each of them over the next few days and discovered that the new passwords do not work, or they would work during a day, and then the passwords would not work the next day. Even more confusing was the fact that one of the passwords from the original account has started working again, even after I had changed the password on it! I took the window of opportunity to apply online for assistance. I received a number of responses with PIN to grab, to a "windows live (hotmail) private forum." However, this process did not work for various reasons. Perhaps, for those three confused accounts password reset Microsoft System for account recovery. But the resets a lot were the result of having none of the passwords work, even after reset. I took the last email I received from Microsoft, clicked on the link to access the page where I could enter the PIN, to take on the private forum. The screen said that the email "was no longer valid," even if I replied to the email within 24 hours (I think...) I have entered my PIN anyway and arrived at a page that directed me to "private forum", only it was no 'private' forum, or is it possible to get it to him. There was no sense and no link to access. I am directed to a page of windowslivehelp General to "create a new user profile." I have three that I can't access. I entered the emails of non-working and my personal information. The message returned to the statement that "a user with this (email,... or something like) already exists." It's that I got. I could not beyond this page without entering the name of someone else or some false information because I am me and that he would do no good to put in another. I can barely keep track of all the passwords, names, addresses, etc., etc., I already have! The result is, I'm stuck on my account without a valid reason, and the account I am locked out so is the most important account. And this is where Microsoft should be concerned. The e-mail account that has been hacked for nearly two weeks, it is that the account of a set aside ONLY for MICROSOFT BUSINESS. One day, I could access the account (the password resets through chess,) I discovered that two and a half years of correspondence with Microsoft technicians - including their email addresses - had disappeared. All my files with their correspondence had been deleted or stolen. All emails deal only with the Microsoft program and solutions and recommended patches and operating system problems. This is not good. I had saved the lessons and references to the study for future work on my computer. So the fact that I can't send or receive e-mail from the techies interferes with Microsoft and Security Affairs as well. To make things worse, I also noticed that I don't get the usual techies follow-up emails after I have talking with them on the phone. Even when I give them my address email Earthlink, which has been configured to work with Outlook, I received no email from them. This tells me that the Earthlink/Outlook email has been hacked as well. I discovered that an email from a friend of mine had been opened, before even I knew that it had arrived in my email box. So what I want to do, is get specific help for a techie specific MS, on how to overcome the problems of communication. If I can't navigate to a "private hotmail forum" to get a response to my email; and if the technicians e-mail can't me and doesn't work when it is not, how to solve the lock-out of e-mail? A cat live would be the best solution. I understand that pay for MSN email comes with live phone support, but I have not yet registered for this service. Yes, there is a live chat page that can help with the problem of hotmail? Is there a way that I can read a specific answer to my specific problem? I still have to find an answer to this question. And finally, the fact that SOMETHING is put out that my Security Essentials at random times doesn't help. Security Essentials scans aren't picking up any viruses. However, this problem is recurring and has been for about the last two months. Even MS technicians checked the system configuration settings to ensure that engaged, and it is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Today, I have not checked remaining two hotmail accounts that appear to have been recovered. So, maybe I can receive e-mail from MS in my hotmail alternate accounts. However, the main account which I use only for correspondence of Microsoft, is still inaccessible and probably still not guaranteed. Advice appreciated.

  • another computer on your network is using your computer - Hack suspicion - ip address through DHCP lease renewal. Help, please

    Hello fellow Mac users...

Today, while using, Firefox A message appeared on my screen: another computer on your network is using the ip address of your computer.

Now, I am 100% sure that my phone was turned off when it happened. And I have a password on my wifi connection.

I panicked because no one should have access to my network or my IP address. Immediately, I turned off my modem and turned off the wifi on my mac.

Later, I went to renew the DHCP lease.

    My question is this:

Could it be, in theory, based on the message system I (another computer on your network is using the ip address of your computer) the IP address was stolen (for lack of a better word) by a remote user, which is not in my physical neighborhood that is resident in another city or even country?

If so, then I did the right thing by closing my Modem? And later on the DHCP lease renewal? About 20-30 minutes past until what I actually renewed the DHCP lease. It, in theory, could have too late to do (assuming that a malicious user has chosen to masquerade himself with my IP address)?

    Thank you all very much!

What version of the operating system Windows am I running? :

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/which-version-of-the-Windows-operating-system-am-i-running

Many computers users be prey to pirates and the crimes they commit on companies and unsuspecting individuals. In the case of crime in your home or business, it is not difficult to report the hacker.

    a. determine which agency has jurisdiction over the crime. It depends on if the crime was committed at home or at your company and the address of that particular place. If you live within the city limits, the appropriate agency will usually be your city police service. If you live outside the city, in the County limits, contact your local sheriff's office.

    b. call the non-emergency number for your local police department or the Sheriff's Office to report the crime. Ask to speak to someone in the division of the detective into a crime of Internet.

    c. a hacker report online through the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Strive to work directly with your local agency before declaring online.

    d. to request the opinion of the Agency where you reported the crime. Ask what are the procedures they recommend to protect your computer from future attempts of hacking. Ask the Agency studying your crime to provide documentation in support of your case.

    I hope this helps.

Yes it is possible then turn off the microphone when not in service.

scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running

    the cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one

Here is a link to try to troubleshoot the fingerprint reader software. What a Refresh in Windows 8.

    Thank you.

  • How can I determine what keyring is verified by Thuderbird at startup?

Since the last update, when I opened Thuderbird a black box comes in asking me to authorize the creation of a new key named 'unknown '. That took place after that of previous boxes that says that a program requests access to a set of keys named 'unknown '. Demand for a new key named "unknown, after I display the name of"Mail".»

The initial problem was that alleged program was unknown and I didn't know what was in 'unknow' set of n keys. To all, I knew that the source of the black box was a computer hacker or malware, etc., that is trying to access my friend, mail Server or the msystem in general.

My response has been to deny approval until demand previously standard for the pawword requested to access the e-mail server. I enter the password and my mail downloads.

Assuming that the black box is the result of installation Thuderbird 31.0 and the blackbox is Thuderbird from the new way of asking my password for the mail server, how can I force Thunderbird to ask rather access "Mail", then "unknown"?

Frankly do not identify the request for access to a key named 'unknown' seems a violation of the security of good practice. A user must know what it is before you take the steps requested by the black box.

So, today I learned out there is what is called keyring. It's pf Gnome which is the default value of the gui for Ubuntu part.

I also learned there is an add-on which allows Thunderbird to integrate with it. https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/addon/GNOME-Keyring-integration/

Thunderbird has its own password manager.

  • Security webcam - Ideapad Z series problem

I would like to know an answer to simple questions YES or NO:

    (1) is it normal that a LED flash webcam behavior when Lenovo Idelapad Z710 is turned on?

    (2) YOUR webcam LED flashes when you turn on the laptop computer?

I am concerned about safety. My computer hacked to the University network and therefore the webcam LED starts flashing when the laptop is power on. I don't really know if it flashing before my computer pirate, that's why I'm asking here.

More detailed description if you wanted:

    -Webcam is a function normally.

-The LED will light up for a second or two, when the laptop is turned on, then turn off.

-The LED does not light when the laptop is awake from sleep / hibernation.

-The LED light even when the drive is unplugged and removed from the laptop.

-J' did some speak with a local repairman for lenovo, but we have been unable to fix it (EEPROM locked...), because there is no direct support for ideapad in my country.

-Flashing of BIOS has not helped, or any change in the BIOS.

If your answer is "It is normal..", please also answer if your webcam does the same.

If your answer "hacking BIOS/HW is not possible..." "Well, it is possible, for example, see: http://securityaffairs.co/wordpress/25425/hacking/bypass-secure-boot-uefi.html

    (1) YES and
    (2) YES.
The light of the camera on my Z710 happens every time I turn on my laptop. Without being an expert or anything like that, I think it is the awakening that gets the camera from the BIOS when you turn your Z710.
If a person in the community is more tech savvy, could you please confirm that this is the case?

  • When are you going to stop piracy moders and freezing of systems of the people?

WHEN BE MODERS MICROSOFT TO STOP TAMPERING WITH SYSTEMS?

A "modder" is a person who modifies the computers and computer cases to make them more visually interesting.  Simple projects include lighting changes and the addition of clear panels, extreme projects makes the computer look like something else entirely.  Has nothing to do with piracy or freezing.

As for the question... I've had computers for years, dating back to the era of MS-DOS.  Only once was my computer "hacked" and this is because in a moment of stupidity, I clicked on the wrong thing.  As long as people are stupid enough to run programs from unknown or untrusted sources, visit web sites of dubious legitimacy and thus now... computers will continue to be hacked.

A gel computer usually indicates a hardware problem or software. What is the meaning to take control of a computer if you go to freeze immediately?  Useless, right?  Await your event logs to see if there are clues to be found there.

  • What to remove the genuine ms my system.i notification obtained from the window updates

    Mr President.

How can I remove the genuine window notification that I can't install it.
Window updates I remove everything dowload, but every time I start my system its proves again that the notification.
do I have to remove this notification. ? and I don't want to like this notification
PLEASE ME HELP SIR TO FIND THE SOLUTION

    Your installation is a counterfeit

The key used is one that was never issued by MS - and is a Volume license key.

This key has been generated by a computer hacker tool.

IF your COA sticker is for Windows XP Pro, you * may * be able to change the key to that on the label, using the tool to update the key product - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/help/genuine/product-key

If the COA sticker is for WIndows XP Home Edition, you will need to reformat and reinstall it from the original recovery media for your machine, or OEM System Builder disk - after saving your data on external media.
