Computer slow to close.

This type of issue was aired several times in this Forum.

My computer is a Presario CQ5115uk and has three USB ports

external hard drives connected and installed. 1 320 GB, 1.  1 TB

and 1.  2 TB.

All start files and programs have been checked and, where

appropriate, arrested.

The computer takes more than a minute to complete closing down

Windows 7.

Remember, the computer began to increase the time required

close, after that 2 TB external USB has been adjusted. Of course, the

farm pilot LED on to Player 2 is the last to blink before the computer

downwards. The drive is connected using a carousel four USB connection.

à la back of the computer USB, the other two disks directly to the USBs

mounted in front of the Computer CQ5115uk.

Suggestions for a solution will certainly the most appreciated.

Still to learn, thanks for your help.

The cmd, sfc/scannow and using the keys ctrl + shift + enter keys

no more get administrator mode.

  • Why doesn't my computer slow and down so often?

    Hello

Why doesn't my computer slow and down so often?  I have quite a few red errors and yellow when I look where the Viewer, how can I get rid of them?  And also I have Norton installed on my PC Utillities, can this program to get rid of these errors?

Take a look in the system and Application logs in the errors and warnings event viewer and post here the copies. Do not post on more than 48 hours ago.

You can access event viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, and Event Viewer. When searching for the meaning of the error, information about the event ID, Source and Description are important.

A tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. You will see a button resembling two pages. Click on the button and close Event Viewer. This places a copy of the report to your Clipboard. Paste it into the body of your message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

  • Why my computer slows down

09 August to the a few weeks ago, I had a modem for internet on my computer. As we know, dialup is very slow. But a few weeks ago I had my digital internet on and things have accelerated. But I'm having a problem with some Web pages. It seems that whenever I try to open more than 1 page, or I come to a page that has a lot of objects in motion on it, everything slows to a crawl. I used to now have this problem when I had internet faster before. I downloaded the latest versions of Adobe Flash player, shockwave last, more recent readers Real and Quicktime, and yet my computer slows down. I need to update any other thing or what? Or I did my updates get corrupted when I had access to remote and if yes, how to say? Thank you

    Hi miles,

I want to start by saying that all the options of the Internet high speed are not equal. You could see the right speed for the connection you have.

But... There are a few things we can look at to make sure that your system runs as quickly as possible. Your system seems to work "eye catching" or "flange" in its use of local emissions? :-)

Let start by resetting IE to default values and to see where we are.

Close IE, print or copy these suggestions...
Click on START and type > Internet options > press enter
On the general tab, click on delete... > default options should be good for this. Click on delete.
When you are finished, click the Advanced tab. Under reset Internet Explorer settings section, press the Reset... button.
In the tab programs, click on Manage Add-ons
Disable toolbars like MSN or Google. Toolbars are known to cause problems.

Launch IE and give it a go and let us know what happens. Mark <> Microsoft Partner

  • Computer slows way down after trying to open internet explorer, then will not be closed.

I look through the posts and have not found someone who had my same problem still. I hope someone can help me. A few weeks ago, I bought a new gateway laptop and it has Windows 7. It works great until a few days ago. Day before yesterday, I tried to open Internet Explorer 8 and I just got a white screen with the border of IE, but it did not open a page or anything like that. I opened the Task Manager and allows to close the IE. I had that happen in the past (in XP) when I tried to open internet until the computer is carried out all the stuff at the start of the loading. Thinking that was the problem, I tried to open IE again. This time I just got the little thing of circle of rotation for a few seconds, as he was trying to do something, but nothing happened. I then tried to restart the computer. He says "disconnect" for a few minutes, then "shutting down" for about half an hour until I finally pressed right on the power button to turn it off. I have it turned on and had the same problem again. I even tried to open another program (Word) to see if it would work. Finally opened, it was ridiculously slow. I checked the process and it is said there are CPU usage 0. However, he acts like something using all the memory. My next step was to remove the battery. I took it out for a few minutes, restarted in safe mode, and the computer works perfectly. I then restarted it regularly. It seemed to work fine. I opened Word again and she appeared right as usual. So then I tried to open internet. I had the same problem as before, and then the computer slowed to a crawl and would not shut down. Thinking maybe it was just IE, I rebooted in safe mode with network and my internet works perfectly. I downloaded Firefox (in safe mode), perhaps hoping it would work. But when I rebooted, I always had the same problem. Everything worked fine when I got it in safe mode, even on the internet. If someone has had this problem before, please help! I just bought the computer a few weeks ago and it's very frustrating.

    Hi tonirose19

    ·         As the problem does not occur in safe mode, try to start the computer to the boot in order to check if any third-party application is causing the problem. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Steps to perform the clean boot and check if you have the problem.

    i. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

II. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

III. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

IV. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.

    v. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.

    VI. click OK.

VII. When you are prompted, click restart.

VIII. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved check what third party causing the problem, referring to the link given below: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    i. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

II. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

III. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

IV. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

    ·         Even run an online scanner to check any malware or virus activity. Links below will help you launch the free scan on the computer.

  • COMPUTER SLOW CLOSE

I HAVE PROBLEMS SHUUTIG MY PC DOWN. IS TOO SLOW. WHAT DO I DO?

    Hello DAMARYS,.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

There are several reasons why Vista runs slowly or is slow to stop.

    1. the machine responds that the minimum hardware requirements

    2. not all drivers are up-to-date

    3. problems with standby and hibernation. It was SP1 updates to help with known issues.

To resolve these problems, make sure you have more than the minimum requirements for your system. I would go by the recommended intakes. Your system must have the minimum hardware requirements: CPU - 1.7 GHz, RAM - 1 GB graphics card - 128 MB (256 copies) and space - 80 GB of disk.

I did not what are the specs of your system, but go to your computer manufacturer and make sure all your drivers are up-to-date. Or go to Windows Update and check to see if there are updates for one of your devices.

There is an update that improves the performance and reliability of Vista SP1.

I've included the URL for the update below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/952709

If please post again and let us know if these measures have helped or if you need more help.

  • hpC309a-computer slows to a crawl after the restart of the impression must each time

I don't know much about computers, my husband installed the wireless c309a.  The printer seems to work very well even though I have not tried the scannner, but after printing a document, my computer is very slow.  Opening a document may take a few minutes.  The internet is too slow.  I get the error messages often on the internal memory is too low.  I have to reboot to get it to normal and can not keep the printer.  Restart takes about 20 minutes for all the error messages which are erect and things are difficult to close.  Help - I'm a real novice computer, but I know that the problem is the printer / wireless.  I had to uninstall it and reinstall, but that doesn't seem to help.

It is a program that runs in the background that monitors your printer use (always).  It can severely degrade the performance of your computer, especially if you have very little RAM.

Go to start, Control Panel, add/remove programs.

Select the HP Customer Participation program and uninstall it.

    Restart your computer.

To find out how much RAM you have, click Start, right-click computer, and select Properties.

On this page, it will tell you how much RAM you have.  512 MB is the minimum, one less is good, too little.
